Greg & Joyce's home was perfect for our family reunion of 16 people, ages 3-80. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for a week. The house is very close to shopping, the freeway, and convenient to Donner Lake. We'd definitely consider staying here again. One downside was the traffic noise from the freeway.

The house was great for our family vacation. It has enough room for 17 people and even some amenities for babies (high chairs, pack n' Play, books and toys). One of the rooms wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived, and the list of check-out chores seemed excessive given the price (clean the kitchen counters and stove?). Overall, it was great!

We were a group of mature incoming and current MBA students getting together for a quiet weekend. For us, it was an opportunity to network with MBAs from around the country, for the incoming to get a better idea of what to expect, and to have fun hiking, shopping, and dining in the area. The house was perfect for us to each have our space and to come together to cook family style. Great communication. Highly recommend!

This was a terrible experience and our concerns remain unresolved. We are experienced renters who have been using VRBO for several years to book luxury properties. Due to simultaneous highway closures we were unable to reach the property, heavy snow and an unprecedented storm prevented any access for 5 consecutive days and caused power outages and dangerous conditions across Lake Tahoe. We contacted Greg the owner on day one and day two to explain the roads were closed and we could not get to the property, he refused to cancel the booking which could have mitigated our loss. Once it became apparent that the roads would remain impassable he merely offered a paltry half day credit on a future 5 day minimum rental. This would mean that we would have to pay him an additional four and half day to get the half day credit. We proposed more equitable solutions like refunding half of the rent (he could keep half the fees!)or a credit to rebook the trip in the future but he was completely unresponsive and ghosted us. VRBO customer support was powerless and their “Book with Confidence” assurance meaningless. One of the reasons we choose this home was because of the positive comments on the owner. This is apparently only true when things are going well - if something goes wrong in this property, the owner is unreasonable and unresponsive and you will be stranded. Travel insurance provides only minimal reimbursement for incremental costs for disruption of this type but not full reimbursement of lost rent paid. So your only recourse is to deal with the property owner and hope that he is reasonable, responsive and trustworthy. Unfortunately this owner isn’t.

Everything about this vacation rental was perfect. It was large enough to comfortably fit our party of 8 adults and 8 kids. The location was excellent, close to Safeway and close to Starbucks! We enjoyed all the amenities of the house including the pool table and hot tub. House is well appointed with all you need for large meals and entertainment. Best of all, Greg is a great owner, extremely attentive and responsive to renter inquiries and needs. Would rent this home again and again! Could not have been happier with our stay.

20 family members had a great stay in this home! Beautiful home with more than enough space for everyone, it had everything we needed for staying in to cook and the check-in/check-out process was super easy. Location was off the freeway and near Safeway, restaurants, etc. Greg, the host, was super communicative and wonderful to work with. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for an amazing family trip, Greg!

We had a great time here. The furniture was comfortable and clean. Plenty of bedrooms.
