A lovely spacious flat, clean, true to the photos as advertised. Our flat was on the top floor with its own entrance via an external staircase. There are 2 double bedrooms, each with a double bed, spacious, comfortable mattresses, extra pillows, bedside lamps, good wardrobe space and each with a large flatscreen TV offering the standard satellite collection of channels. Good quiet air conditioning units in each room. Spacious bathroom, good water pressure, plenty of hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped, we did not cook but I have no doubt if we needed anything the owner would have happily provided it for us. There was a welcome cooled bottle of white wine waiting for us along with some local cherries, olive oil, salt and pepper, vinegar, coffee. It had a filter coffee machine and kettle. There was a very small balcony off the kitchen, with afternoon shade, where we enjoyed our evening drink with view of the sea and hills. Beautiful open views off the front, as the house is on a hill. In the mornings we enjoyed an outside patio area which belonged to the flat, which had morning shade, in a lovely corner of the garden, nice breeze carrying the scent of jasmine… The location was superb for us as it was just over 1 km from the touristy strip so in a quiet neighborhood, up a hill. It is indeed close to a main road which although noisy, was only audible when we were outside and honestly didn’t detract from our stay at all. Reliable Wi-Fi. We did have a car, but it’s not an absolute must if you don’t mind walking up the hill in partial sun. The outdoor area is well looked after, pretty flowers, a decent sized pool with sunbeds etc. Lots of nice beaches, tavernas within a short driving distance, we ate twice at Aletri ran by the landlord, halfway towards the beach. We felt very welcomed, and Maria and Andreas really took care of us ensuring we had a wonderful stay. Would happily come back !

Everything was perfect from start to finish. the apartment had everything we needed, it was very clean comfortable and the view was amazing. just perfect!

Andreas and Maria described it themselves the best. If you love something it does not feel like work. That love you will find in every detail of their amazing home that they opened up for guests to enjoy with them. From the carefully placed spices near the entrance that will give you a welcoming scent when you come in, to the spotlessly clean accommodation, the beautiful designed bathroom to the amazingly well maintained garden and pool. The real special thing that you will rarely find wherever you go is that the hosts will not only share their home with you but also make you feel like family. As a couple we enjoyed a beautiful place with an amazing view, a lot of privacy and comfort. Make sure you visit their restaurant Aletri Tavern, that is run by the same eye for detail, love and passion. Thank you for a great stay, we will definitely come back.

This was our first time in Crete and we have enjoyed this peaceful and confortable location a lot. The garden and the swimming pool are excellent. A quiet location with enough privacy. The tasty Cretan kitchen at Aletri Taverna, the family business run by Andreas and his team has delighted us twice. Lovely place, hospitable people, great location for a most enjoyable family stay.

Those with sensitive ears should be aware that duing the day the cretes can be very loud and that in the background you can always hear some traffic...

We enjoyed the most amazing Greek hospitality. Maria, Andreas and Adonis are a wonderful family and will make you feel a part of it. The property is located in a quiet area of town, in the middle of palm and olive trees. Nevertheless it is close to the sea and well connected to the main roads that bring you to all the sights of western Crete. Bonus: If you are a pet lover, there are some cats and two very friendly lady dogs :-) We had a wonderful time and can't wait to be back.

It is a family run business with great people who have created a small paradise for those who want to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility. The place has stunning sea views in and out of the room. I think it's ideal for families with young children who will enjoy the pool. The room is tastefully decorated by Mr Andrea and his wife Mrs Maria and offers all the amenities. Would definitely visit again in the future .
