Golf group of 8 was perfect because everyone had their own room, but could handle more if you wanted to double up. Big gathering area and pool was an extra bonus.

Our experience at Cape Myrtle house was fantastic. Tracy, the property manager was wonderful even before we arrived. We did have a few issues that we addressed with her and all things that were brought to her attention were taken care of in the same day. I would highly recommend, this rental to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Our party of 8 enjoyed staying at the Cape House. Plenty of room and walking (or riding - they have 2 bikes you can use) distance from the beach. A couple of suggestions for the off season maintenance updates: a new downstairs dish washer add a garbage disposal to the downstairs kitchen sink add an ice maker to the downstairs freezer Thanks for a pleasant stay

Way, Way , Way overpriced. Plywood for bed frames. This place hadn't been updated since the 80s. The best thing about the place was the shed.

The outside area was excellent. Inside was another story. First, the place has a BAD roach problem. Some of the appliances didn’t work. We had to get the stove repaired but the dryer never got fixed. All appliances need to be updated! Lastly, for as much as I paid for the place, I could not believe that I had to take my own trash (a weeks worth!) to a local dumpster myself. Why would that not be part of the cleanup process? We put it in the large can outside, you take the can to the dumpster?? We had a great time but only because the outside area was perfect. I would definitely stay there again next year if they address the above issues. Roaches, out of date/broken appliances and self serve trash disposal is not what I envisioned for the price I paid.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family made a reservation in 2020 and extended the reservation until 2022 because of high Covid rates in the MD area. We enjoyed the location and overall, were fairly satisfied with the property. Several things were not working in the property when we arrived, however (eg, shower head in one bathroom). Additionally, be prepared to take all your trash off the premises as there is no trash service provided. Renter beware: be prepared to be charged for items that you may not have broken as well, or items that were already in disrepair and experienced normal wear and tear - we were charged for a broken pool net which we didn't touch, and a broken plastic pool chair that was already in rough shape.

The kids enjoyed the pool very much. If you are in the area you must try Melts ice cream. The house overall is in need of up grade. One bathroom upstairs has no shower head, we were told by management that its a bath and not a shower which made it very inconvenient for the adults using that specific one. House keeping needs to do a better job at cleaning, we had to call to get the shower curtain changed which was very dirty. Management was prompt in getting someone to the house to get it changed. House was very dusty with a moldy smell. There were multiple small roaches in the downstairs kitchen. Utensils that were used prior to our arrival were placed back in drawer and knife holder without being washed, very disgusting. Overall, house is not bad, management needs to supervise closely to ensure cleanliness and upgrading when needed

I would rent again. I have suggested they change their cleaning company...linens needs to be replaced and bedding cleaned. Bars stools in kitchen on 1st floor needed recovering, and there were lots of dust throughout the bedrooms

The neighborhood was perfect! It was walking distance to the beach and any store you could possibly need was right around the corner. The house was as described. The only downfalls were having to go thru a bedroom to get to any bathroom there was no main bathroom, the cleaning crew did a rush job and left a ring around the tub and a dirty mildew curtain liner that I had to remove in order to shower and the line to the pool broke(as they do) but we had to fix it ourselves as not to lose a day. The owner however did send a tech the very next morning. Overall our stay was great! My Moms 75th bday was a success I would highly recommend Cape Myrtle house!

One of the bottom bedroom's 2 mattress bed bug covers were ripped and just tucked under the mattress. Housekeeping shouldn't have left those that way. I don't know how often the pool company comes but the pool had some sand in it. There aren't any seasonings or trash bags, besides the one in the can when you arrive, for renters to use. We had a problem with the upstairs dryer ruining some of our clothes but Owner Direct Vacation Rentals made it right without a hassle. All of the employees we talked with at Owner Direct Vacation Rental were great and friendly. They know how to treat people! I wish I'd have known to book directly with them instead of paying extra funds through VRBO. But now I know! The pool was very relaxing!

Upon arriving to the rental a vehicle was parked there, the shed was open, and people were in the house. I approached and found out it was the cleaning company employees. They were finishing up. They did state someone was coming to replace a blind on the back door. We were bringing stuff in and they did their thing. After a while I thought they were gone and than noticed they were sitting on the rear deck chairs. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional.
The house was dated, very in need of a deep cleaning, and updates. There were There was hardly enough silverware or bowls for our group of 10 adults and 2 children. The coffee maker had used grounds in it when I went to make coffee the first morning. The downstairs refrigerator had a bad smell of seafood all week. We even cleaned it with Clorox wipes and put a deodorizer in it, without help. The dishwasher was flimsy and dated. One rack was broken and my son in law had to fix it. There was an oven but, no pot holders or oven mitts to safely remove a hot pan.
The first night the group staying upstairs said they saw cockroaches. I tried to reassure them it was probably water bugs. Well, after staying the week I’m sure they were actually cockroaches!
The bathrooms were not cleaned the best, cheap towel and linen, rusty shower curtain hangers, mold spots on shower curtain liner and the ceiling vent in upstairs kitchen. The bed linens were low quality and felt like sleeping on paper. The bedspreads were dirty looking.
After Wednesday renters are required To take their garbage to public dumpsters.
Outside the sprinkler system was not working, another thing my so. In law fixed because the trees were looking bad.
I did not contact Owners Direct because it would not have made a difference.This was more major issue is
