Marina View Cottage is in a great location with beautiful views and spacious surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for rest and relaxation. The cottage itself is older but everything worked and was well-equipped. The owners were very hospitable and respectful of our privacy.

Perfect 3 night getaway. Ideal location for launching the kayak and exploring the nearby islands. Perfect kitchen and outdoor grill. Hot tub was the icing on the cake. Couldn't ask for more!

The property is quiet and perfectly situated. The view is stunning, the house is comfortable, the hot tub is excellent. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. We couldn't have picked a better place for a long weekend rest and recharge.

We would visit again in a heartbeat. The owners welcomed us on arrival and gave us the lowdown on the area. It was the shoulder season so many island restaurants had limited hours/days but if we didn’t dine out, we were able to cook full meals at the house. The kitchen had everything. The living room is big and couches comfy! It seems like a quieter side of the island, but easily within driving distance of the East Sound downtown area. The views were beautiful, you can see the marina from the house. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was the best way to end the day. And our dog enjoyed the large lawn. Thanks so much for having us!

Spacious, comfortable, private and well appointed home with fabulous views. I could have sat outside watching the tides come in, then out forever. Deer Harbor is our favorite part of the island but it may not be for you if you like to go to town a few times a day.

Great location, easy walk to Deer Harbor Marina, beautiful views, house decor fit well with setting. The house had everything we needed/wanted. We would definitely rent again!

This has to be one of the “best places”. The house and the management of the property was excellent. The owners helped us with a very needed reservation on the ferry system. Make sure you have your reservations for the ferry before you go!! We had a great time. Go Whale watching out of East Sound!!

What a great property! The cottage or “guest house” is perfect for our anniversary get away. So incredibly peaceful sitting out looking over the water or soaking in the hot tub. We’ll be back!

Good overall experience Owner was on site in larger building and very kind. Has basic cooking and cleaning supplies. Hot tub was a huge bonus

our family stayed for three nights at this wonderful house, which is well-stocked, super clean and very welcoming. The scenery with harbor/Water view is gorgeous. We ate most of our meals outside while watching hummingbirds busy hitting the feeder. Quietly tucked away, but also not super far to all the sites we decided to hit. Highly recommended!

My husband and I and our cattle dog Willy loved our stay at the Marina View house. The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location on the upper end of Deer Harbor offers a great view of the marina. There are houses on both sides, but the place feels private and peaceful. Our hosts, Ellen and Doug, were welcoming and friendly. We hope to return. Some highlights of our Orcas Island stay: the farmers market in Eastsound, Orcas Island Pottery, Mt. Constitution (the view!), Buck Bay Shellfish (fresh clams!).

We had a fabulous stay in Deer Harbor! Everything was just as described - great views, beach access, nice hot tub overlooking the water, cozy wood fireplace, and the extra considerations for dogs (food and water bowl, toys, bags, and movable tie out) were such a nice touch! It felt secluded and private but only 20 minutes or so from town, which we loved. Highly recommend!

This is better than the listing photos! Cozy, cute, and quiet. Short 10 minute walk to the local marina (snacks, breakfast sammies, coffee, etc…) and post office. This view though—stop!!! On the few clear days I could see out to San Juan Island and the Olympic Mountains in the distance. Gorgeous and relaxing? Yes, please!

Property was even better than advertised. House was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Wonderful setting. We would highly recommend and hope to be back soon!!

The cottage was a perfect home away from home for our family and small doggy. The property is beautiful with amazing views. You can see the amazing sunset and sunrise from the comfort of the couch. They had everything we needed and then some extra comforts for our doggie. It was very welcoming! The hot tub was very relaxing. It was close to a pizza place and a small store but the main part of the island is only a few miles away. We cooked dinner the first night and it was stocked with what we needed. We would stay here again!

Everything we needed to have a relaxing, but playful stay. My Husband cooked up roast duck with dried fruit gravy for dinner on my Birthday, and had everything he needed in pots, utensils, spices, nice bowls and plates for serving, etc.!!! Near town, hiking, and beach! What else do you need? Thank you!

This cottage is perfection. The view down to Deer Harbor is lovely, the house is extremely comfortable and well-outfitted. The property is just really special.

It was a well deserved getaway in a beautiful setting with a comfortable and well maintained property!

everything was great except the bed was hard as a rock, ended up on the sofas every night. we also had no internet ( no cell service either) as they where upgrading it during our stay, making trip to library everyday to get emails etc was a major pain. New bed would be very good idea.

First, we were very disappointed that it was not spelled out that this property is actually a guest house located a mere 20 yards from the owner's residence. While the owners were not overly intrusive we did feel abit like being in a fish bowl. Second, no reference or mention of the availability of kayaks was ever made even though there were two kayaks located on the owner's dock. Third, despite the descrption stating how much Fido will enjoy the wide open lawn, the information booklet located in the unit requires that dogs be on a leash when outdoors. Overall we were very disappointed with this rental unit and would not recommend it to a friend.

Loved everything about this spot. The proximity to Deer Harbor for morning walks, the way the kitchen was outfitted, the comfort of the living room, the overall cozy feel.

A wonderfully relaxing and peaceful place to stay. I appreciated the special dog basket for our pups and the remarkable quiet of the place.

Our dog loves it here - there’s beach access and room to play! Location is quiet, with a nice view of the marina.
