all i can say is everything was spectacular! the house the property the view's the location the owners the location and asheville as well ! we will be back next year.

We had a great time visiting Asheville and staying in Skye Haven. The property was just as we expected, the photos depicted it very accurately. Very lovely spot for a couple. The location was very close to downtown and all it has to offer. Marilyn was extremely attentive to any/all questions. The only thing we missed was laundry facilities. I never even thought about it until just before we left since we always had facilities but Marilyn did direct me to a local laundromat in the area.

Had a great time overall! Amazing view from the back deck, quiet neighborhood and saw tons of bears which was really neat! Located only a few minutes from town and local grocery stores but feels like you’re miles away in the wilderness. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with, we’re very attentive to any needs we might have (which we did not), and were very welcoming. Very comfortable home with a great remote fireplace and very spacious shower! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to check out the Asheville area and even spend a night or two just chilling grilling on the deck.

I surprised my wife for our 10th wedding anniversary and booked this secluded spot. It didn’t disappoint!! Spectacular views! A short drive to downtown Asheville. We had a great time and Marilyn was very hospitable!

The view was amazing and I love how quiet it was in the mornings. I would come back again.

This location was amazing. I saw a bear playing in the yard on the first morning, and 8 other bears within a couple miles of the house over the next couple days! The mountain views and quiet neighborhood were lovely. It felt like I was out in the middle of nowhere but downtown Asheville was literally just minutes away. The house was very clean and kitchen well supplied. The deck with fireplace right off the master bedroom was my favorite part of the house. Though I never met her, Marilyn was a wonderful host and so easy to contact. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a very nice long weekend. View as good as advertised, host was helpful and communicated with us the proper amount. Very nice house and location.

Skye Haven was a perfect choice for us. We wanted to experience the mountains but be able to explore the city easily. . The layout was very well designed and decorated comfortably. We had everything we needed and surprised by all the extra touches. We looked forward to just hanging out and enjoying the deck and meals in the sunroom. . We stayed a full week without a one hiccup! We hope to return to enjoy the mountains in a different season. Thank you Marilyn for making this a memorable trip for us!

I can't say enough about this property and the gracious hosts. The property is perfectly located. It has privacy, proximity to almost everything you may want to do in Asheville and incredibly beautiful views. It's well laid out and the hosts have thoughtfully and caringly decorated it. Further, the hosts are very communicative, responsive and kind. Their instructions were clear and all of our interactions were great. We would recommend this property without any hesitation. It's a wonderful, special place.

Everything was perfect from the advance communication from the hosts, the welcoming extras, stunning views, and comfy home! We enjoyed cozying up in front of the fire, sleeping in, and enjoying the spectacular views while eating breakfast on the deck. It was the perfect weekend getaway! Can’t say enough positive about our hosts. Fantastic communication and truly made us feel welcome.

I booked this weekend as a gift for my wife. The process was flawless! Marilyn has been the best host. She offered very helpful instructions about the cabin, best ways to get around town, even where to stop for gas on the way in. There was a stocked fridge, amazingly clean residence, and perfect views! We were blessed with an awesome snow storm while we stayed, which only added to an already perfect weekend. I would give the residence and host 10 stars, definitely recommending to friends, and will definitely return! If you are looking for a relaxing, romantic, mountain retreat, book this one! You will not be disappointed!

This was what I look for in rental properties. It was exactly as advertised! The views were outstanding, the house was cozy, and the host communicated wonderfully. You are away from the noise, but only 10 minutes from the action. I will be returning!!

My boyfriend & I stayed at Skye Haven to celebrate our birthdays that are 2 weeks apart and we could not have asked for better stay! Marilyn was wonderful at making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. And the views were UNREAL from the deck. We planned on going to a rooftop bar on Friday when we arrived but quickly realized we needed to stay put & enjoy the sunset from Skye Haven because there was no way anything could compete. Highly recommend this home!!!

Multiple balconies with a fire table and unsurpassed views make this a wonderful destination. The home was nicely appointed and the owners made sure everything was to our liking. We’ll be recommending this one to family and friends.

The views from the back porch were absolutely stunning. Great location close to downtown and The Grove Park Inn. The home is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable furniture. Marilyn was an excellent host - easy to communicate with, welcoming, helpful. The house was just as pictured. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful mountain retreat.

I needed a place to decompress and relax from my stressful job. Skye Haven exceeded my expectations. The owner was an exceptional host, the facility was clean, and the view was awesome. When searching for somewhere to stay while in Asheville to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary my husband and I were captivated by the photos of the view from this property so we booked it and were not disappointed. Everything exceeded our expectations from the communication and hospitality from the home owners to the amenities and views of the home. The close proximity to downtown was also a huge plus! We look forward to staying here again in the future.

If you want mountaintop views with only a short drive to downtown, this place is fantastic. Perfect for a getaway for a couple. Marilyn was very communicative throughout the process.

The pictures and description are accurate. If you like what you see on the site, you will enjoy your stay. The only surprise was how close and convenient downtown Asheville was. It seems there was nowhere that we wanted to go that was not just minutes away. And super easy to get to. Great place. We hope to return.

We had a great stay at Skye Haven. It’s a beautiful home in a great location with a wonderful view-we even saw a mama bear with her three cubs. The house feels quiet and secluded but in reality is a quick trip into town, or to get on the highway to do area hikes, etc. Marilyn and Rick were very attentive and responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this property.

PERFECTION is ALL we were looking for. Seclusion, yet the ability to go and enjoy Asheville. Absolutely loved the coziness of the property and took advantage of all it had to offer, except bears. A great time had by all.

Views from the two decks were spectacular and the hosts really cared that we were happy and comfortable in their home.
