We had a wonderful time. The pool was great, the location wonderful! Definitely get a golf cart to get around, it so much easier and can enjoy the island better. Definitely will be back!

Fabulous place to stay. Centrally located. A stroll to the beach. The house had more than enough room for everyone and three bathrooms. The pool is spectacular and while having cocktails the Ugly Grouper next door plays music. There is a place to sit out od the sun. I highly recommend renting a golf cart. We rented from the Toy Barn. We all said we would be back and rent the exact house if we can. I also suggest experiencing some drinks at the doctors office.

The house and pool were very well kept. The area was convenient, close to the beach and shopping. I would recommend this property. A great family location.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Clean and is supplied with everything you need. Alex will help out with any questions you need answered. Everything is in walking distance. Pool was the best! Every restaurant in Holmes Beach gets a five star. Rented a golf cart and toured Anna Maria and went to both piers to eat. Will be back next year. Thank you Alex for everything. The Woodwards

The house was a short walk to the beach, and was close to everything you needed. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We really liked being so close to the north end of the island. The house was pretty much exactly as described, and the kids loved the playing in the pool every day after coming back from the beach.

We had a fabulous stay at this property. The perfect amount of space for our family with very comfy beds, lots of seating, and just a comfortable feel. A 4 minute walk to the beach, it can't get any better!

We stayed 1/2 block away the summer of 2021 and immediately knew we wanted to return. We felt we needed more room and are really happy we found Alex and his Happy Island Cottage. The neighborhood is residential yet close to shops, eateries, and a 5 minute walk to a non crowded section of the beach on 56th and Gulf. Alex was very eager to please and address questions/concerns almost immediately. We were very pleased and grateful to be allowed to get into the house before check in as we were traveling with my elderly mom. The house was fully stocked and met our needs. The pool was great and very refreshing after hours at the beach. The Ugly Grouper is right around the corner and we would enjoy the sounds from their live bands from a nice distance so as not to interfere with our conversations. We would definitely return. We enjoyed our stay on AI & found the house to be just perfect for a family with teenagers. Close enough to walk to the quiet beach, round the corner from good local stores and the free bus at the end of the road perfect for getting home after an evening out!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was pretty much as advertised. Owners were friendly and pretty responsive to our inquiries. The cottage was nice and clean, and provided enough privacy. We had plenty of room for my husband and I, our two teens, and my Mother-in-Law, but could use more seating in the living room. All of the beds were comfortable. We loved the master bath and appreciated the extra bathroom/laundry area. Wish the main entrance to the home and access to BBQ grill from kitchen were on the ground level, but understand why the homes are raised in case of storms/flooding. Too many stairs for my Mother-in-law. We checked in very late and the front door access code didn’t work, but all is well that ends well. I was disappointed there was only one raft for the pool, and it didn’t hold air. Decent location for not being on the beach. Nothing on the island was too far away. The air conditioning worked perfectly as it was very hot all week. Washer/dryer were nice and fast to keep up with all the towels. Overall we had a nice, positive, experience while we were there for a family reunion in the area. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This was our third visit to AMI since 2016. The previous 2 times we stayed in a very nice multi-unit site. This visit we decided to rent a home with a pool. Along with my wife and I, our 2 sons (18 & 15) stayed at Happy Island Cottage July 17-24 , 2021. The checkin process was very easy, having setup our passcode with Alex a few days prior to arrival. The house was as advertised, clean, comfortable with many of the amenities. The pool was great and relaxing. Loved hearing the live music from the Ugly Grouper serenade us on Sunday afternoon! For us, the location was ideal. We also had rental an electric LSV which was definitely a bonus. Would highly recommend this property. Can't wait until our next visit!
