We absolutely loved our stay in this cute little abode. The patio outside makes you feel like you’re in a little world of your own. A minute walk to an incredible set of cliffs that overlook the ocean. Will definitely stay here again if I ever get the chance. Top-notch host. !

This is my go-to place to stay when I visit San Diego. Tom is a great host, the room is comfortable and clean (and includes a binder with the host's recommendations for breweries and restaurants in the area) The location is fantastic. Right by Sunset Cliffs and about a 20 minute walk from Ocean Beach. I will definitely book again!

Stayed here a few nights before heading to Hawaii. The property was very clean and had all the amenities you could ever need. There were no noise issues. There were no technical issues. The girlfriend and I put the bikes to good use and rode 10 minutes to Ocean Beach to satisfy our munchies. Thank you for the great stay!

The property was very small but sufficient for our needs. The shower was very nice and we appreciated the washer/dryer. The outside sitting area was very pretty surrounded by numerous succulent plants. It was a short walking distance to Sunset Cliffs and the wedding venue, the Thursday Club, was just a few blocks away.

We had a great stay, the room was clean and the patio was private. Would recommend!!

Perfect for a weekend getaway, had everything we needed!

Tom’s place was exactly how described and fit our needs perfectly! The property was exactly as stated. We came to San Diego for a couple days prior to a wedding wanting to explore. Our VRBO was perfect for that. If you’re go go going, I’d highly recommend Tom’s! The neighborhood was very safe and less than a 5 minute walk from the cliffs. We walked late at night and never once felt unsafe. *be sure to read the description of this house. if you’re a homebody who wants room, this is NOT for you.

Great little place to stay and Tom was a great host!

The good: -beautiful & convent location to Ocean Beach -Bikes were appreciated & needed -washer & dryer was nice to have -nice patio furniture & heater outside -included coffee kcups & coffee maker What could be better: -the pillows are terrible .. easy fix -A mini fridge is needed, could do without the microwave for a fridge or access to ice -Some actual glasses/coffee cups would be more eco friendly than paper toss away cups -the bikes could use some maintenance The not good: -the place has a “feeling” of being private but with paper thin walls/half walls/fences, anyone can hear anything at anytime -because of the above, I got the impression that the owner has had instances of neighbor complaints & is overtly sensitive to sound …on our last Friday night, we were enjoying some soft background music & quiet conversation on the patio & at 12:55 the owner opens the door to the patio (only time we saw him during our stay) & effectively told us it was time for bed! What a strange feeling that was … know before you go!

This charming (think small) studio was all we needed for our visit. I walked along the cliffs and enjoyed all the flowers in bloom. Unlike other areas of Ocean Beach, we did not hear the airport traffic or anything, very quiet. The sitting area outside was pleasant with a heater and privacy. Nice for a couple to stay in the area.

Tom was a lovely and inviting host. We immediately felt welcomed to the property. He had beach towels and chairs laid out for us on the beautiful patio area, which was a nice touch. We greatly appreciated his book of local recommendations (side note, he is a fantastic and creative writer!). This neighborhood is right by the beach, and has a wide variety of cute restaurants and breweries nearby. I highly recommend this place!

small but very cute. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room, so it wasn't so bad. Little amenities were nice touches! Conversation with property owner was great. Wish the wall between the bathroom and main room went to the ceiling. That was a little awkward to not have bathroom privacy

Nice quiet location with great outdoor seating area. Small but comfortable. Close to airport, Point Loma attractions. Ocean Beach is a pleasant, walkable town with good shopping and restaurants. The owner Tom is real friendly. The studio is not designed for eating in. There are no plates or utensils. Just a microwave and a small fridge. There is a washer and dryer, which we did not use, but laundry detergent is provided. We are thinking of coming back and would stay here again

Not only is Tom a gem, so is this studio! Especially the patio area and all it’s plants! The studio is conveniently located near a private beach and tons of food options. It’s great to take a short walk or bike ride down the street and watch the sunset over the cliffs. Overall amazing experience and will definitely stay again next time we visit San Diego. ☺️

Tom and his property were both top notch! Tom's communication with me prior to, during and after my stay was outstanding. He was easy to reach and pleasant to talk with. The space was ideal for what I was looking for, especially the quiet, private, outside area. Everything was super clean and very nicely decorated. I felt like I was in my home away from home for the long weekend I was there. Some may be concerned that the unit was part of a primary residence but there is no lack of privacy for anyone. Tom has done a beautiful job making sure all involved are allowed their space. Being able to walk 3-4 minutes to the cliffs for sunsets or take a 10-minute bike ride to downtown OB made the location ideal too. I would absolutely stay at this property and work with Tom again.

The casita was just what we needed - a bed, a shower, and a coffee maker. This converted garage - with the clear door - was simply charming. The host had all the thoughtful amenities - linens, blow dryer, K-cups, real coffee mugs, and even a lock for the bikes. The private courtyard in front was adorable -with bistro lighting too. Parking was WONDERFUL! So grateful not to fight for parking each time we returned. Looking forward to our next visit.

If you are looking for a getaway that is quiet, chill, cozy and with beautiful views this is the spot! What more can I say? Literally houses away from Sunset Cliffs, walking distance to Newport Ave in OB, good cruiser distance to Mission Beach and short car ride to Old Town! Thomas the host was very easy to reach and communicate with during this whole process. There is no doubt we will be taking another stay-cation at our new chill spot at Sunset Cliffs 🤩

The property is exactly as it appears in the photos. The bed is very comfortable and we loved the outdoor sitting area for our morning coffee or evening wine. The views two short blocks away of the cliffs are really sensational. Very convenient to the local eateries and shopping. Would stay here again for sure.

We had a great time at Thomas's VRBO in the Sunset Cliffs. We loved the proximity to the ocean and the privacy that came with the unit being separate from the house. Wifi was fast, and street parking was easy and always available. Washer and dryer in unit was a nice touch, even for a 3 night stay. Neighborhood was super quiet past 9pm, and we even saw the OB parrots. Thomas's place is a steal!

You cannot beat the location of this place. Staying within walking distance of the beautiful Sunset Cliffs was a dream!! So much to do within walking/biking distance or just a short drive away. The unit itself is pretty small, but it works for 2 people. The patio is amazing and we spent most of our time there when we weren't out hiking or exploring the area. Tom is a great host and helpful when needed! Thanks for a great stay!

The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful and you are literally a block away from the cliffs to watch the sunset

Just a few steps to the cliffs a 15 min walk to newport. Was a really beautiful property and tom was the nicest.
