overall wonderful!!--loved the sunset views-sit and watch! Owner thought of so many extra touches to make a short visit wonderful--(having beach towels, provided snacks to start us off---had suncreen and salt & pepper & more !! (lol-we have been places where next to nothing provided)--responds swiftly and makes sure all is well! Outdoor space as great as inside --spacious -loved the outdoor fire pit!

Wow, did I feel like we lucked out booking here. The property is very nice, the view is gorgeous and it's a great location. Absolutely everything you could need is there. Motion lights in the hallway, chargers, water, dry shampoo, flashlights on the night stand, and even chocolate when you arrive. We walked in and my partner goes, it's like my dream house, everything I would think of and more. Another bonus is the owner, John. He communicates early and often. He has great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. He checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. He even got up early to meet us in person before we left. I can't say enough nice things about both him and the property.

This gorgeous home in Point Loma was the perfect spot for my husband and I to relax and do some sightseeing in San Diego. The location is ideal! Close to everything with a picture perfect view. You can walk 6 blocks to Sunset Cliffs, and see the best view of the sunset in all of San Diego. The Cabana is spotless, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and has anything you would need! The bed is wonderful, and to wake up and see the sun coming through the garage door window is paradise. John checked in occasionally through text to see if we needed anything, and the Welcome Basket was such a thoughtful and personal touch that we really appreciated. VRBO’s don’t get better than this. Finding this gem made our trip to San Diego that much better! Can’t wait to stay here on our next visit!

We have stayed in many VRBO vacation rentals and this one was at the top of the list. Not one detail for our comfort and convenience was overlooked. Super great location! We loved being super close to Point Loma, PB, and Mission Beach. 10 min walk to a beach cliff with a view. John was a great host and had anything we needed. Fire pit seating area in back was great and we could see the sunset from the home every night! Overall great stay!!

My wife and I had a 4 day stay for SDSU Parents Weekend and we thought this was the perfect place. Short drive to everything, nice walk down to the ocean, and the place was beautiful. We look forward to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time during our three-night stay. The property is clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a very nice care package left for us, along with detailed instructions on how to make use of all of the amenities and a listing of recommendations for dining and other attractions in the area. Our host communicated often via email and text and even had the courtesy to let us know when there would be guests for dinner upstairs above the rental one evening. I can highly recommend staying here and would stay again.

My wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing time. The indoor/outdoor living was peaceful and great to have coffee in the morning and wine in the evening! The entire property was exactly as advertised. We had a little trouble lighting the outdoor fireplace but John was Johnny on the spot and had it going in no time. I selfishly want to keep this a secret so it’s available when we come back but others should enjoy it like we did.

This place was perfect, and the grounds were beautiful. Very clean, and well-appointed. John's "Welcome package" was awesome, and the patio is a really nice place to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon/evening, to enjoy the surroundings, as well as the great view to the Ocean. The glass double "garage door" on the wall of the suite, facing the ocean, is a really nice touch. Neighborhood is great, and the location is close to everything. Loved this place!!

I have to say, this is the absolute nicest, well equipped vrbo of all the places I have ever stayed. The neighborhood is amazing, it’s a short walk to the beach and there is ample parking. The details were what really drew me in though; a welcome basket and welcome card, chocolates and water in the bedside table, towels and fresh slippers on the bed, lemon water, smart locks, kcups and cream and sugar, awesome water pressure, immaculate, so well appointed, and has an amazing view. John has thought of everything. He was very responsive and communicative. I will definitely vacation in this perfect spot later this year.

My fiancé and I stayed at this amazing guest suite for 10 nights. We spent a great deal of time researching lisings on VRBO. We were looking for a rental with close proximity to the beach and ocean views. This was the perfect spot! The description in the listing is completely accurate. The suite is very secure and located in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. A truly stunning neighborhood! There are gorgeous trees and gardens on every block. The guest suite feels more like a private home. It is evident throughtout the suite that great consideration was taken to design a comfortable and very functional living space. The outdoor space is incredible. We enjoyed several dinners on the upper patio with spectacular views of the sunset. The seating around the fire pit was a perfect spot to end the nights with a glass of wine. Both the master bed and pull out sofa were very comfortable. We had absolutely everything we needed. We took advanatge of renting the eBikes and so glad we did! What a great way to see the area! It is very convienent to have the bikes available on site. The rental fee was also very reasonable. If you have ever rented on VRBO you know that your experience with the host makes all the differnece. I can not say enough great things about John and Michael. From the moment I reserved the listing communication was amazing. They were very attentive and helpful. They truly made our experience very special.

This property is exceptional! We had such an amazing time! Great, high-end, safe neighborhood within a close walk or bike ride to the beach. Electric bikes are a great choice for getting around!

My wife and I stayed at this property for 5 nights in July and could not have asked for a better experience! John the host was great as well. He was always a text message away with great restaurant recommendations and thorough knowledge of the area. The home was beautiful in a cliff side neighborhood with ocean views from the living room. Obviously the San Diego weather was gorgeous so we were able to enjoy a morning coffee with the garage door open in the indoor/outdoor living space. The space was just enough for the 2 of us and doubled in size when you account for the outdoor space. Kitchen was equipped with the essentials and the whole property was very well taken care of, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The host also has electric bike rentals right on site which was an awesome way to tour the hilly neighborhood and and head down to the ocean 5 blocks away. You will not be disappointed with this property. I feel like my wife and I will be back to stay at this property next time we head out to California!

We stayed here for 6 days while vacationing and it is the best Vrbo I've stayed in. From the great communication from our host, to the cleanliness of the unit. We were even greated with a basket full of goodies and wine. This place has it all and the location is excellent. Only a few minutes to the cliffs, 10 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes to some of the best San Diego has to offer. You can't go wrong. We will definitely be back. We sincerely thank you for your hospitality, John!

The home was amazing and very private considering it was the bottom floor of the home. The property was very clean except for a cover pile of building materials in the back patio that we had to pass by in a narrow opening between the seats for the fire pit and the pile. The fire pit was difficult to start, but there was a lighter in the kitchen which helped with it. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom were comfortable and had everything we needed. You could hear the footsteps upstairs very easily though, and trying to sleep in with that was difficult. Would absolutely stay here again, it was a beautiful property, and the host was kind and attentive.

What a great place to unwind and enjoy the time we take for granted sometimes! The view is beautiful. The fire pit was wonderful just to sit around and enjoy the company of my children and friend who came to celebrate a 65th birthday. It truly was an unforgettable memory for us. Thank you to the hosts who were just wonderful.

We have stayed at many VRBO homes throughout the years and I will have to say this is my favorite. There are too many great things to say about the hosts and the location, so overall know that you will be well taken care of and the amenities offered, left us not in want or need. Also an extra plus is the available electric bike rental, through our hosts!! This is done easily and onsite, no leaving our place to pickup. I do not think anyone could be disappointed by staying here. The cleanliness was superb, all linens were fresh and fragrant. Like I said, too many great things to mention in one setting, I am truthful about this space being an overall beauty.

This VRBO property was amazing, what a great location and the neighborhood was very quite and relaxing to come back to after exploring the area for the day. Soo close to beaches, restaurants, bars and all the San Diego adventures in the area. Very clean, modern and the glass garage door was a neat feature to have it made the space feel so open to take in the sights and sounds. Being able to see the ocean in the morning while having breakfast was awesome....Great hosts the communication on what was expected and everything was labeled I think that is soo helpful when staying at VRBO rentals. The amenities were great we arrived late so having the snacks was very nice. The other amenities made the place feeling welcoming (wine, water and chocolates). So relaxing enjoyed our stay..

We had a great time! The location was great (just a short walk to the beach). The property is very clean and nice (just like the pictures show). John was a great host who made sure we were doing good daily. He was very responsive when I used the wrong code to get in the door. He quickly got me into the property and changed the door code to the one I remembered. We had a nice care package when we checked in. We appreciated the hospitality of the host, loved the view and the property itself, and also loved the Ocean Beach area which is very close and has lots of restaurants, bars, and activities. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

I don’t usually write reviews unless something is really really good or really really bad, since anyone should be able to provide average…. I almost didn’t want to write this one, because I wanted this secret spot hidden. For the many years I’ve spent renting on these sites a few times a year, this is probably the top of my list! Words cannot explain how awesome this place was. John and Michael are spectacular hosts, and have thought of everything when it comes to the details and service they provide. Truly a quiet getaway with the view and amenities for a great stay. We stayed here to drop our son off for his freshman year at SDSU, and we were able to visit the hustle and bustle of downtown Ocean Beach while retreating to this newly remodeled location for the peace and quiet and the views from above. Pictures do not do this place justice, and all the 5 star reviews won’t either. Really, really impressed. The roll up door creates such an incredible space too…. Yes, you can thank me later - I accept Venmo :)

My husband and I had a fantastic stay! This basement apartment was well stocked and had a great view of the ocean. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck around the fire table. If you enjoy walking and don’t mind hills, it’s less than a mile down the hill to the beautiful Sunset Cliffs. We also walked to Ocean Beach but that is a little further. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hosts and location in San Diego. A bit challenging to get to (stairs), and some noise from upstairs. Comfortable bed and quiet nights were great for sleep. Peekaboo view of Pacific Ocean is a great way to start the day.

I loved staying at this VRBO property! It was so clean, modern and the glass garage door provided that indoor/outdoor So Cal experience you dream of! Seeing the Pacific Ocean from the bedroom, living room and patio was amazing and I loved the fire pit area at night. The hosts were great with perfect communication and I loved all of the amenities - bottle of wine, snacks, slippers, chocolates and water by the bed....it felt like a boutique hotel experience, but even better with all of the privacy and space! I'll definitely be back!

We loved this place! Apartment was really nice with good amenities. Hosts were helpful and the location was great for many different activities. We loved drinking coffee outside each morning and walking down to the beach each night to watch the sunset.

Stayed here with my mom and aunt for a long weekend/girl's trip. The space was very clean, well decorated, with thoughtful touches (welcome basket, spa slippers, drinks in the fridge), very comfortable bed (including the pull-out couch), plenty of extra bedding and towels. We loved the zero gravity chairs and the garage door that lifted so we could enjoy the weather and sunset from the living room area. It was wonderful! The space had everything we needed and was in a perfect location. John was quick to respond to questions and was wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend this space and would love to rent it again next time we return to San Diego.
