Our family had a fantastic week at the lake house. We hiked, swam, kayaked and enjoyed this beautiful home. The area has lots of enjoyable activities. So much to do and so much to see, a wonderful vacation land!

We really enjoyed our 7-day stay. The Stanton home was perfect for us and North Lake Leelanau is heaven for any vacationers. We hope to come back again!

This home was very clean compared to other homes that we have rented. We had 4 adults and 5 young kids and the bunk beds were great for the kids and the one floor was great for getting around easily. The dock was close and good railings on the outdoor stairs to get up and down. The house is adorable and we will be back. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Great house for a large group, close to Fishtown & Sutton’s Bay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend getaway at this lovely, spacious, north woods home. Gorgeous views of the lake with plenty of room for 3 couples to spend time together and spread out away from each other when desired.

Nice get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of a big city. Clean home on the water with lots of space ,and everything you need to stay for a week or beyond. We loved that there were plenty of pot, pans and cooking/grilling utensils. The grill really came in handy. If you like to fish, there are plenty of places to fish nearby including the dock at their home.

Great place, great location. A bit musty, especially the bunk rooms. Mattress in master was not good.

The house was even better than advertised. So much fun between the pool table and the waterfront. Amazing sunsets. Would definitely recommend!

We loved staying here over LDW! Great for large groups or multiple families. Very pet and family friendly. Incredible location right on Lake Leelanau- turquoise water right outside with excellent lake access (beach and docks). We loved the entertaining spaces outside- multiple decks, bonfire pit. The sunsets from the house were so great! The house is spacious with plenty of room inside for our group- two living spaces, the guys loved the pool table. Very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The location was perfect- close to Leeland and plenty of up north wineries. The house was very private and secluded from neighbors and set back from the main road. This part of the lake is gorgeous, clear water and sandy bottom. The property owner was very responsive to all our questions and made the process very easy. We will be back again!

We had a great week at this cottage on L. Leelanau. We have been coming to L. Leelanau for a long time and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Great for families.. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Our family has been vacationing in the Lake Leelanau area for over 25 years over the Labor Day weekend. We have stayed in this home twice and enjoyed the spacious house, the deck and waterfront are fantastic, and the location is very convenient . We will book again!

The family has been expanding this house for a couple generations. It’s a great layout, checkout other reviews for room details. They’ve done a good job respecting the landscape. Plenty of outdoor entertainment room, dock, etc. very peaceful location. Fully stocked with everything except your food.

This is our second rental of this cottage on the north end of Lake Leelanau where my family had a cottage for over 50 years. This cottage has a great layout for numerous guests, a large deck both at the cottage and down on the water which gives everyone the space they need. The rooms are spacious and the decor is exactly how it should be for a lakeside cottage. We love coming up here and will continue to do so!

As others have said in their reviews, this house is much larger than the pictures suggest. There is a master bedroom with a queen bed, another bedroom with two twins, and two bedrooms each with two bunk beds (making 4 beds per bunk-bed room). The common rooms are large, the pool table is great, and the kitchen is just fine for family meals. The deck/dock are awesome, and the sunsets are gorgeous. We rented a boat during our time there and loved every minute of lakefront life. The kids were able to catch perch off the dock, and we enjoyed s'mores over the bonfire every night. Very close to anything you might need (Sutton's Bay for pharmacy, restaurants, groceries), hiking, Sleeping Bear Dunes, wineries, etc. Highly recommend. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and was perfect for us.

Gorgeous home - couldn’t imagine anything better. Location was incredible, plenty of space for the whole crew to spread out. Pictures don’t do this place justice... It’s huge, and right on the water.

My family has been coming to the Leland area since I was a little girl and love the area. Now our children and grandchildren come with us. This house is the perfect setting on Lake Leelanau. The house is roomy and well equipped. The upper and lower decks and docks, great to be out on. Three bathrooms was wonderful so that each of our children's family had their own bathroom. Even though the weather was a bit chilly this year it was one of our favorite places that we have stayed.

I'm not sure how many good things I should say about this home as I hope to rent it again in the future! My family owned a summer cottage a few doors down from the Stanton's for over 50 years so I was looking for a vacation home close to where ours was (we sold ours about 5 years ago). This home had everything we were looking for in a great floorpan for families. We had 6 adult children with us and having the bedrooms split off was wonderful. I do wish to give credit to the caretaker since we realized that the hot water tank on the bunk bed side of the home was not working. He came out to the house on Sunday afternoon and saw the problem and came back on Monday, July 4th (a holiday!) and fixed it. Timing was perfect as we had two more children arriving that evening so many thanks and much appreciation to him and his willingness to take care of us and make sure our stay was a good one. The weather was fabulous and we enjoyed most of our days on the deck at the water and many nights around the fire pit just talking and watching the shooting stars. We even had "front row" seats to watch the fireworks going off across the lake! All in all, a wonderful family trip and one we hope to do more of. We all love Lake Leelanau and while we miss having our own cottage, the Stanton's home was a great choice for us!

We loved staying in this lake house!

We walked in and we're all surprised at how awesome the home was inside! Pictures do not do it justice...felt at home instantly and all had a blast! Great waterfront with kayaks, campfire pit, space for yard games, an awesome porch and pool table inside! Lots of seating inside and fully equipped with everything we needed except our clothes and food! We would return to this property in a flash!

This place was wonderful. The setting on Lake Leelanau is beautiful. Even with the wooded lake setting, it was roomy and light and airy. I do not think the photos do it justice. We especially liked the two large decks. When it was hot we were down on the deck sitting right on the lake with its cool breezes. When it was cooler or windy, the deck up near the house was perfect. On a rainy day, the room with the pool table came in handy. The sunsets over the lake with friends and a glass of Leelanau wine was heaven.

What an absolutely beautiful house - the pictures do not do it justice! The views are breathtaking! We stayed for a weekend as a group of 9 (4 couples plus one college student). We were up for a wedding on Lake Leelanau. Perfect location for the group for sightseeing and touring the peninsula, and easy to get to the wedding. Our only regret was that we hadn't booked it for a week! We totally enjoyed kayaking, the beautiful deck, large "great room"! All the bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms large. The kitchen was better stocked than any other rental I've been in, and even had many spices stocked in the pantry. The Stanton family is very welcoming! We felt right at home! We will be going back!

Our family had a fantastic stay at this very comfortable lake house on Lake Leelanau. The layout of the house is very conducive to having separate space for families or for the kids, and also has a large common area. Furnishings are comfortable, and the kitchen quite nice for preparing family meals. The outdoor spaces are very spacious and private. The location on the east side of the lake is perfect for watching the sunset at the end of the day. We enjoyed the pool table, kayaks, grill and fire pit throughout our stay. The local family owners are very nice people, and nearby in case any questions/issues come up. We look forward to our next stay!

We can't say enough to really describe our stay at this house on Lake Leelanau. The house and the grounds are much larger than they appear in the photos. The house has several fire places and is perfect for warm or cold whether. The lake is excellent for sporting and is beautiful (I live on a lake) and the house has more than what you would expect of a vacation rental. We stayed in the Spring and once in the Winter. We recommended the house to two different groups of friends who later reserved and loved the house, as well. The area is a very interesting and historic part of Michigan and we love the orchards. But you won't want to spend much time away from the lake.
