The condo was exactly as pictured. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. The other guests and residents were friendly and welcoming. The staff we met were helpful and full of great stories. Kenike was awesome to work with. Already planning our 2020 visit.

This was the 6th year in a row we stayed at one of the Makaha Beach Cabanas. First time on ground floor with walk out onto beach. Owner was very responsive to various issues that came up during our stay. Cabana could benefit from some upgrades to make stay even more enjoyable such as seat cushions on lanai chairs, additional beach chairs, updated linens and cutlery. Would definitely stay again at this cabana.

I loved being away from the crowds but if you are looking to stay where the action is, stay in Waikiki, it was a drive if you wanted to do the tourist thing. We saw turtles and whales (right time of year) from the beach. The full moon setting was amazing to watch every morning we were there. The unit has all the things you would want for the beach, wasn't anything I wished I had that wasn't already there. The lanai is not as depicted in the pictures but was still nice to sit on and watch the world go by with a glass of wine. Would definitely stay at again if available.

Great location on the quiet side of the island. Minutes to grocery stores, Long’s, and local restaurants. Family friendly, located right on the beach. The condo has everything you need from full kitchen, pleanty of linens and towels, to snorkeling gear, beach chairs and towels. Great for romantic getaways or small family vacations. Very clean and secure.

We were visiting my sister who lives less than a mile down the hwy from Makaha Cabanas. Perfect location for us. Beach walk every day. Surf a bit unpredictable. Unit was comfortable and fairly clean. We had to fix the screen door so we could use it (kept coming off track). All in all a good place for us to stay while visiting my sister.

This is a small unit and well used, however everything we needed was there. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pot and pans, and spices. Bathroom was also well stocked. There were plenty of outdoor water toys, coolers and chairs. Bed was very comfortable. You can't find a better view than the one from the patio. We had one small issue and it was taken care of immediately. If we come this way again we would be happy to stay here.

The apartment had plenty of room however there is no AC And the cockroaches were a little bothersome, especially for my wife.

I stayed here for a week while attending a conference in Honolulu. Loved having the sand and surf directly out the door at such a reasonable rental rate. The pictures of the condo interior, property, and surrounding area are very accurate. Kenike was super helpful. I hope to stay again!

I have returned to this beautiful place every year for the past eight years and brought friends who then want to return. The unit was very clean and am happy they remodeled as well. The screen door to the lanai does need to be replaced as never could keep it on the track and I am confident this will be addressed. Makaha is amazing and we marvel every year at the beach which is steps away and seems like our own private paradise as is almost empty. Thank you Kineke for always responding promptly.

We had a wonderful time being on the first floor where our back door was on the beach, it was awesome. I heard that much needed renovation are going to be happening soon.

Beautiful i loved it wanted to stay longer

It was nice being on the beach, hearing the waves and seeing sunsets; also nice to be around native Hawaiians. That said, the rest was total crap. The condo was lousy and except for some pretty beaches, the area was extremely unattractive.

We arrived and found this property extremely dated and no soap in bathroom and shower. We were told by manager that they don't supply any bar soap as no one uses it and "it's gross". Also there are no hand towels as well. We contacted the owner through the manager and he told us no one has complained in the past. We are concerned about cleanliness after this issue and asked to move out on the first day but they offered no refund. Soap scum around entire shower base, egg yoke dried on plates, spots that appears to be blood on the walls in bathroom. Very poor cleanliness!!

Wonderful and peaceful! Perfect for Family or friends to just relax!

This place has the best view and beach in MAKAHA. Advantages: great view, quiet beach. Disadvantages: bad traffic to go back to Waikiki, we were overrun with beetles in condo, no good places to eat out except fast food so bring your food and the only couch to sit on is probably the most uncomfortable piece of furniture to sit on so pack a cushion as well if you want to stay in

This was a great place to stay if your looking for solitude and a great beach. If you are looking for night life and good food, your gonna be outta luck in this area. Costco is just a short distance from the airport and Wal-mart is fairly close. Rent this place for the beach and you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind that this is not the Ritz but a nice place to sleep, eat and enjoy a slow paced day on the beach. I would have preferred to rent this place the second time I was in Hawaii instead of the first time. We spent so much time looking at everything else around the island that we didn't get to spend nearly enough time at the condo. Cheers

Lovely to hear the waves, walk out on the beach from the lanai. Nicely set up, clean, everything you need in a kitchen. as well as beach chairs/towels, cooler, etc., and two tv's which my husband appreciated for football in the am. Friendly manager and greeter. Felt very secure with the gated property. Plus, there was a shopping opportunity on the beach! Had fancy dinner at the nearby Koolina resort area. Not much else nearby for food, but plenty of grocery and Long's shopping. Plan to go again sometime. Two good hikes nearby, but we didn't go this time.

Our stay in Makaha was a dream vacation come true! We could have never imagined that our room would be so close to the beach! We walk right outside the back and there was "paradise" waiting for us to enjoy! The condo had everything we needed to make our trip that much more enjoyable. The website accurately described everything to a tee! The photos are actual pictures of the room and its surroundings. The room was very clean and also the building itself was well maintained. The property owners/managers were very helpful and made themselves available to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hawaii. Its location is practically minutes away from Honolulu and Waikiki...even closer to the North Shore. I would definitely stay again when I make a trip back.....FIVE STARS!!!!!

I loved this condo. My husband and I were here for our 5th anniversary, we had the best time of our lives!! Not our first trip to Hawaii, but our first time staying away from Honolulu and Waikiki. I have been to Hawaii many times beginning in 1978. This is the BEST place we have ever stayed!!!!!!! Kenike we love you and thank you so much for all you did. Some people are very selfish and self centered, expect Hilton stuff for a super 8 price. WHAT!!!!!!! The condo had everything we could want, our wants are small, a shower, bed, coffee maker, stove, fridge and microwave. There were dishes, pots and pans, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, beach umbrella, you want it, you have it. Want to meet the locals, they are walking the beach every day, picking up YOUR trash!!!!! Some people are such PIGS and disrespect this beautiful place. My husband and I picked up so many cigarette butts!! We smoke, but we respect this beach and every other place we ever go. We don't through butts on the ground!!!! There are many places to buy food to cook, frozen stuff to micro, if you go to North Shore ( about 30 minute drive) you can get many fresh fruits and vegetables and don't have to fight the Honolulu traffic, Good market about 5 minute drive called Tamarua has everything you could want. Would we stay again YES!! The condo looked just like the pictures, it was clean (see the tripadvisor review) it is older, but everything worked. Would I recommend to a friend? YES!!! I LOVED THIS PLACE!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a quick, 5 day vacation. If only we could have stayed longer! The condo was absolutely perfect in every way. There is a nice little living room to relax in if you need it, and a small kitchen with all of the dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was comfy and the lanai had a table and some chairs. The best part of all is the direct access to the incredible beach. The condo comes with everything you need, so just bring a few pairs of board shorts and bathing suits, and you'll be set for the best vacation.The owner is such a nice person, and we can't wait to get a hold them for our next stay.

My husband and I came for a short get away. What a treat it was to wake up to roaring waves, palm trees and a wonderful beach that is so private right off our lanai. The condo was comfortable and very clean, the bed is to die for, best night sleep ever.The condo has everything I wanted and needed, from blender for drinks to internet for showing off all my vacation pics. I will tell all my family how wonderful makaha is, will be back next year Mahalo for a great vacation,,,,,, Michael
