This cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and truly does have everything you need besides your personal effects. I took all kinds of kitchen ware that was already there. There were plenty of towels and everything else. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and game room. Everyone had plenty of room and enjoyed the stay so much. The management team is exceptional. We will definitely book again.

On a Whim was a very nice cabin with plenty of room. We couldn’t get 2 of the games in the game room to work (part of the reason we chose this cabin) but otherwise it was great. The star dock on location was because we had atvs turning around in our driveway a lot. The road to get to the cabin had horribly deep pot holes. I drive a low car and couldn’t pass over a couple of them. I drove through a few cabin driveways to miss the potholes when possible. There was also a big cabin nearby that played very loud music every night. We called their management company but that only helped for an hour or so. There is also quite a bit of road noise from the main highway. BUT, the cabin itself was perfect for our family. Plenty of room, game room and outside stuff to do. We used the fire pit every night. I would stay again but would block our driveway with our cars next time so the atvs wouldn’t spew rocks at our cars.

Only complaint are the roads leading up to cabin.

The cabin was great. Very well stocked with needed items.A few things needed some TLC. The game room needs lots of attention. We would go again overall.

The property was great everyone enjoyed it. The only negative I have is the road coming in was extremely rough. Good luck if you don’t have a truck.

Really enjoyed our stay. It was fantastic to have the game room garage out separate from the main house so that kids could sleep and adults could be loud at night. There was a brand new grill outback that we used for some really good steaks. Kitchen was very well appointed With utensils and tools. The playground was lots of fun for the kids and the fire pit was already set up with wood ready to go. The location of this place is at the end of the road so you feel secluded and like you’re out in the middle of the woods. Certainly a good spot for families to get away. Would recommend

Hubby and I brought our DIL, grandkids and 2 of their friends. Total of 9 of us. This was the 3rd time for most us at the cabin. We spent time at the lake, bowled, enjoyed the game room, cooked and just enjoyed time away. .

The cabin was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Very clean, everything was in working order. The whole family enjoyed it. The roads leading to the cabin was horrible. There is no reason to let it get that bad.

Great location and accommodations! Roads (potholes) are horrible, most vehicles have a very difficult time.

On a positive note, the pots and pans and small appliances were plentiful, the patio and hot tub were amazing. The roads were terrible but that was in previous reviews so we weren’t surprised. There were items from previous guests under and behind the couches. The biggest issue was the a/c, the temps were in the 90s, upon check in the notes for leaving stated to turn it back up to 70, on day 2, it was at 75 ( we arrived late the night before) we continued to turn down the air but the house did not get cooler, the next morning, I messaged to see if there is a lock on the temp and the owner stated there was not. We finally realized the air was programmed at 75 from 7am to 10pm and it was overriding us turning it down, we have an infant who goes to sleep very early and we had 2 fans on her to sleep. We cleared the programming and it was cool the rest of the stay. I assumed it was the cleaning company or something and really didn’t get upset because I figured it was empty or was an oversight until we were leaving and I was checking the program to make sure the air was programmed at 70 as requested for the following days and realized there was no schedule for the days after we departed and it was only programmed for the days of our stay. We stayed 4 nights and were hot for almost 2 days because it took so long to cool off due to outside temps being so high. The knobs to switch the duel shower heads are broken in both bathrooms. Overall we had a great relaxing time

The cabin On A Whim was clean and the property wonderful. The only negative I would give is the roads getting to it. Full of potholes.

“On a Whim” was our perfect meeting spot with family. We went to Broken Bow with our adult children, and our grandchildren. I was looking for a single story home as we have two toddlers (outside deck/wrap around porch does have large steps though).”On a Whim” was our perfect get away home! The separate bedrooms and bathrooms worked great. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots and pans you need, plus even a crock pot and griddle. Playground in backyard was a hit with the kids, and the game room was a hit with everyone. Adult outdoor games were used with fun too. We loved the secluded area with wooded areas surrounding the home, and the jacuzzi and outdoor firepit were the perfect way to end each day. What we did in town; Golf, shopping, train ride, pony rides, dinner. “On a Whim” was a perfect place for our family to come together and relax. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This cabin would be great for a family reunion or large family vacation. A few problems need to be fixed, but good for the money.

This was almost the perfect place for our family trip. The game room was a big hit. When the young kids and us old folks turned in for the night the game room was the perfect place for everyone else to gather. Plenty of room for our nine adults and two small children. Great location to get to everything we wanted to do. The place itself is perfect. Getting to it requires a great deal of patience due to the poor roads that have huge potholes. We will keep this place in mind for future visits.

The cabin was so beautiful and there were so many activities to keep us busy. It was an oasis of fun and good times with friends!!

House was very nice. They had plenty of appliances to use plenty of space to seat the whole family it was overall great from hot tub to game room park and all.. only down fall is the roads to get to the house are SUPER rough and big potholes

The cabin, fire pit and hot tub were great. The location was great, close to everything. The roads in the community were worse than we experienced in East Africa!!! The pot holes were horrible. The fireplace did not work and that was a disappointment. Even with these problems, we would rent the cabin again. There were 8 of us (ages 20-74) with 2 dogs.

We picked a GREAT CABIN for our FIRST FAMILY Vacation. Cabin was very spacious, clean & equipped. We also had our fur babies with us. The surrounding towns were very pleasant to eat & visit gift shops.

Everyone had a wonderful relaxing time.

Perfect stay for large family. Several stations for all to enjoy. Game room was big hit with the kids when it rained.

We had an amazing time!! The cabin was very clean. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed; towels, extra blankets, kitchen gadgets, and small appliances. The fire pit was great for our evening S’mores! Oh, we loved the Weber gas grill. We had so much fun in the game room. Our property manager Christy was very friendly EVERY time I called and responded to all my emails quickly! Looking forward to going again.
