Driveway was a little tight to get a trailer into, but beside that this place was all we could ask for! Very cozy and clean! Cant wait to stay again!

This is now one of our favorite places to stay. The pictures accurately represent this lovely, spacious, warm and welcoming property. A private road leads to this two-story retreat, yet it is close to all this area of South Dakota has to offer. There was plenty of dishes, cookware, silverware, towels, sheets, etc-everything you basically need was provided. The open floor plan in the main living area was conducive to family activities, and the pool table in the lower level was a plus. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We had a great time here. It was perfect sized for the group of guys we had. Three floors with three full bathrooms was amazing. The taxi services around there are second to non. Would definitely rent again!

Gps took me to the wrong place but the owners directions were spot on. The cabin had beds for everyone and a great deck to hang out on although the railing might need to be stablized. Very nice cabin!

We had a great stay! The cabin was awesome and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was close to Deadwood and Lead and offered a quiet respite from all the activities when the day was done. The deck was a great place for stargazing, too!

Great getaway
We love our ski trip to the Black Hills every year. This year was no exception. The location of the cabin was great! The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Great cabin, great stay
We had a wonderful time while staying at this property and using it as a hub to visit some of the wonderful sights in the area. It is quiet and secluded, perfect for resting and relaxing when not going and doing. We enjoyed coffee on the front deck in the mornings and watching the chipmunks scurry around. The beds were a little on the firm side for my tastes, but didn't detract from our enjoyment.
The host was quick to respond to questions and provided great, clear check-in information. We would stay here again/recommend to family and friends.

Good cabin!!
This was a great cabin with lots of room and plenty of resources!! We loved staying there! We had 6 adults and 11 children. We loved all the space including the outdoor deck, although we wish it had more shade. The only things that could be improved was it was really hot, so a window air conditioner or two would have made the afternoons and sleeping at night much more comfortable. It was HOT! Also the water heater did not keep up (even after just two people showered) and the water was lukewarm to start with. The hot water heater breaker tripped—not sure why. Overall great place to be!!

Phenomenal cabin
Renting this cabin was stress free. The property owners were easy to communicate with. The views are outstanding and the cabin is close to town yet secluded to feel like it's just you and the outdoors. The cabin makes you feel like home. We highly recommend this cabin for other families.

Beautiful Isolated "Cabin"
This house is great spot just a hop, skip, and a jump from Terry Peak Ski Area. It's also only about 15 minutes from downtown Deadwood. It's very isolated with it's own private drive that gets you up to the house. We had a group of friends in town to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was perfect. I would definitely come back with a group; there is tons of sleeping space.
The only downside was the lack of consumables. There was plenty of coffee filters, but don't forget to bring your own ground coffee. Also, the bathrooms were lacking soap and shampoo (not a huge deal). Also, don't forget to grab a bundle of firewood to enjoy in the fireplace.

we had the best time. absolutely perfect place to stay. loeved the vie and being up in the hills, but yet close to ski resort and town. the inside of cabin was spectacular. everything we needed and more. gave us some great family time after a day of skiing and a great outdoor adventure the next day. loved it!!!

Easy Access to Everything
We had a great time in the hills this past weekend, we rode our UTV's all over the trails near the cabin. This cabin is located close to anything you could possibly want to do while visiting the Black Hills and the view was spectacular. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our needs/questions. I highly recommend staying here!

End of Summer getaway
The cabin was very nice. A very peaceful setting. The road to the cabin was very narrow. We were glad we didn't meet any other vehicles on it. Also there is no air conditioning in the cabin. Made for a very hot time there.

Awesome family time
What an awesome time!! This house was just perfect for us! There was room for the little ones to run and not be under the grownups' feet. The house was very clean and all we had to bring was food and our clothes. And the early mornings on the deck was wonderful and so peaceful! And we got to see deer and wild turkeys which the little ones were fascinated by! We would definitely go back again!

A Sanctuary in Paradise
Lost Miner Cabin provides a spacious, comfortable and fun haven in the beautiful Black Hills. You’re surrounded by the beauty of nature and easily access everything in the town of Lead and Deadwood. We had every meal on the porch and enjoyed the thoughtful touches as well as many of rounds of billiards! Thank you - can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our time at your cabin. It's close to area attractions including awesome ATV trails, but secluded enough to not be super close to other people. The cabin was very homey and the perfect size for our group. It was nice having a kitchen that came stocked with essential cookware. Communication was easy, thank you!

Trip to Deadwood
Group of 6 guys traveled to deadwood for a getaway weekend. Loved the cabin! Easy access to the secluded cabin on a small gravel road. Awesome deck to grill out and relax on. Multiple bedrooms making sleeping arrangements easy! Full kitchen and dining. Close to lead and deadwood. Only downfall was the $40 taxi ride to deadwood, so try and plan to have DD! Overall great stay!

Great get away with the family
We were caught in the middle of an unfortunate situation and had to book this at the last second. Fortunately, the property owner went above and beyond to get the cabin ready for us. He was so accommodating and his cabin was perfect for us! Plenty big and the privacy of this location amazing. We will come back again!

Dont stay if you are pulling a trailer
The cabin itself was very nice and clean the only thing I have complaints about is they said there was plenty of parking but when we arrived we couldn't even get our truck and trailer to enter the drive way

Our family really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was by itself which we really enjoyed the quiet calmness of the hills and it had room for a large family. The cabin had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

An amazing experience!
My friends and I rented this property for the weekend and it was a very pleasant experience. There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep and the beds were comfy. Everything was clean and organized which made it feel very warm and cozy. Would recommend to any friend or family. The only downside was the location due to the snow. I have a 4 wheel drive pickup, but one of my friends didn’t, which made it interesting for them. Overall a great experience and would do it again!

Lost Miners Cabin was perfect!
We recently had a bachelor/bachelorette party in the black hills. We wanted a place for everyone to stay where we wouldn’t all need expensive hotel rooms. This cabin worked perfectly as the guys hung out there all day and played yard games, watch football and were able to be together. Then everyone was able to get rides into deadwood as it wasn’t too far out.
