Great place. Penthouse location, facing sunset each evening, space for the four of us to stretch out and enjoy the views, weather and time together. The space was as advertised. We used the kitchen for three meals and found it was lacking dish towels and hot pads. We let the company know and the next day when we returned from our adventures...dish towels and hot pads were waiting at our door. Great service and location. We will rent from Captain Cook again.

Location is great. Close proximity to restaurants, beach, and shopping. Suite is a bit dated but comfortable. Property manager was easy to deal with and instructions were simple to follow.

Very roomy penthouse. Close to everything in Waikiki and easy to get around. Included underground parking which was great.

The diamonds were the washer and dryer in unit and the free parking!! Huge savings. The room is well decorated and has basics with several amenities. The only thing I would ask for is a cooler for the beach! The beach chairs were great! I will say the only draw backs was that the pillows all need replacing and the bedroom bed (king) is very very firm. There is also a bar nearby which plays live loud music till about 10 pm every night. It didn’t bother us much as we stay up late but if u have children it may bug you. All in all a very good rental. Very good for the price! Would stay again!

This is a very spacious apartment in a clean quiet building. Best part is free parking and a really great steak house on the ground floor. Not a place for lounging at the pool or hanging around the resort, but a great location, close to the beach and shopping.

Reviewer Comments: It was my first visit since September 2018, and it had been renovated and was beautiful.It was nice that the toilet in the master bedroom had also been replaced with a washlet.Having a washer and dryer in the room is very convenient.Although the room was on the top floor, there seemed to be no one staying in the other rooms on the same floor, so it was very quiet.Unfortunately, at night, you can hear the loud live music from the ground from the window, and you can only think of it as noise.Other than that, there were no problems at all, and I would recommend this room to everyone.

Upon entrance to property PH4, corner wall had been very sloppily repaired. There were plaster pieces all over the floor and we had to clean them up. When we mentioned that to the property manager he said he knew about it. Air vents full of dust and hair. Air conditioning that didn’t work in living room where Murphy bed was located. Very uncomfortable for sleeping. Soap holder in second bath broken. Very small shower and no where to put your things. Vanities in both bathrooms never updated and very low. Shower door in master bath was off track and very dirty looking. Outlets in living room were filthy and one on kitchen wall sloppily repaired. Our unit was on the 23rd floor of the building. On the second night upon arriving back to the unit we were greeted by a HUGE cockroach on our door and couldn’t shoo it away. Needless to say, we weren’t sure how many were crawling around our unit. The next morning (Thursday) we were having coffee and made plans for the day. When we went to take showers, all the water had been turned off with no notice to us. We called the property manager and did not get an answer. Then called Captain Cook and told her our problem. She contacted James Wickert our property manager who told us that indeed the water was off until about noon!! We could use the restrooms in the lobby (23 stories down) if we needed them. Loved view, location, space, wonderful manager, communication, most of the furniture was true to picture however, not the living room set and rug. I was disappointed that the living room furniture and coffee table were not exactly as shown on the website. It is still showing as such. The living room sofa was leather and the chair uncomfortable. I was going for a comfy look though I do not think I would have even look at it with the current living room set. But like I said. view, location, space, manager were great!!!

Excellent location in the middle of Waikiki, very well equipped kitchen (storage containers, utensils, blender etc) which enabled us to eat meals in, plenty of room for us all to relax. It has the basic needs, dishes, cutlery, pots, coffee maker. Beach chairs and towels are also provided. It is nicely staged as viewed online but these photos are very deceiving. It is very outdated. The very old sofa bed creaks and the master bedroom bed mattress is very hard. The toilet flush is not working properly but we worked around it. It is a very noisy area. We had the doors shut in the evening, but can hear the loud band/singing from the nearby bars. In the early morning, around 4-4:30, the noise from commercial vehicles would wake us up.

The location is convenient, but busy and noisy being in the middle of Waikiki. There is an outdoor club right below with live music nightly. Fortunately, the music stops right at 10pm; must be a local regulation. The kitchen is not very well stocked, by the way. All in all, a decent place to stay in Waikiki, especially if you appreicate or need a large unit.

We loved our stay and would recommend it for families traveling to Honolulu and interested in staying in Waikiki for their trip. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walkable distance. Parking in the basement, entering and exiting is relatively easy and it's easy to get to/from the freeway. My only complaint is the building elevator can be quite slow, especially since we're on the top floor.

We visited during Christmas holidays. We loved the location, pent house, beautiful Lanai n everything about it. Property manager were very responsive. Explained all check in check out details. Two minor issues - dryer broke down and front door keypad wasn’t working the 3rd day. Property manager responded quickly for both issues. Overall a very nice experience. Will rent again. Free parking was so good. Penthouse is 5 min walk to all happening places in Waikiki. The breakfast place downstairs is amazing and food court right in-front of the building. Pretty secure and access control entry.

This is a beautiful property in the heart of Waikiki, with gorgeous views, and quite the hospitable set up. Perfect for the 4 of us to enjoy meals together, walk anywhere in Waikiki, and feel comfortable during our stay.

The property manager is nice and was response to my request quick. The room was ok. They did not clean the bathroom well. I still see some mold/dirty stuff in the shower area. The AC in kitchen and family room is not cool enough, even though I adjusted it down but it still felt hot. The dryer doesn’t work well. I have to do 2-3 times to get my clothes dry. There are No AC in the Hall way and elevator. The air circulation in the building is not good. The building is too old and smell bad.

Pros: Excellent location, centrally located within walking distance to everything in Waikiki. Makes for a very convenient vacation if you are staying in Waikiki.  Large one bedroom with plenty of room for 4. Didn't try the sofabed. Lots of towels and a closet full of beach chairs, board, etc for the beach. Nice that there's a washer and dryer in the unit. Very secured building and includes parking for one vehicle which is nice as parking in Waiki can be expensive. Cons: Check-in requires a few steps. It's very dated with some newer furniture. For the most part beds, bathrooms, surface areas were fairly clean, but you could feel the greasy build up on cupboard doors and fridge. The small shower stall wasn't very clean. It's very noisy and you can hear traffic, construction, and performers sing from Kalakaua Ave. There was a consistent sound from within the bedroom, could be the air conditioner. Dresser drawers, doors to closets, cabinets don't stay close. Patio doors are hard to open. Lots of carpet stains.

Very pleasant staying, and friendly staffs. Will come back again!

Our stay was a pleasant one. I called for an iron and iron board and it at the front door in less then 24 hrs. If I wasn't getting married two days after I would not have requested one. I will definitely stay at this property again.

Things we liked: Location was great - very walkable distance to beach. Having an air conditioner was very much appreciated. Enough space for six people to sleep. The building was quiet. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. The wall of windows that opened fully making the dining room larger if desired. What we didn't like: The sliding doors to the lanai were very hard to slide. Not enough beach towels - and a text to the property manager didn't remedy that - we made do. Not enough snorkel equipment for 6, again, we made do - not a big deal, but we did think a place for 6 should have enough things for 6. The kitchen--we rent places with kitchens to make vacations for 6 a little more budget friendly - we were disappointed in this one... Not enough dishes - a condo advertised for 6, had only two "adult" bowls. No handles in the cabinets - something we didn't notice in the pictures and didn't know we would dislike. No potholders which is annoying. The oven didn't get as hot as it should - we ended up having to broil our pizzas. Low clearance if microwave over stove made using the back burners difficult. Several of the pots/pans/etc needed to be washed before use, which gave the place a "dirty" feel. We would have loved a bigger skillet or two as we were cooking for 6. Overall the place was adequate, we're just a family who enjoys cooking and felt a bit cramped in our style by the kitchen. And we think that a place that sleeps 6 should.be euipped for 6 in all the things.

This property was the perfect size for our family. Check-in/out was a breeze. Hosts were easy to communicate with. It was great to have a parking space in central Waikiki. The views from the lanai were beautiful. The property felt very safe. The couch bed was too uncomfortable to use so we borrowed an air mattress from a local family member. There is a bar downstairs that has live music every night which can be loud in the unit even with doors closed & curtains drawn. Definitely would recommend this place!
