Love the house

This house is in the perfect location. You have the canal for your boat, right across from a beach on the sound and just a short walk away from the Gulf. Perfect for one large or two small families. We have stayed here 3 years and are ready for the 4th. Supplied perfectly to cook at home, well decorated and always clean.

Communication with property owners excellent! Very friendly and accommodating. Even the cleaning service was gracious enough to meet us with item we left behind! Definitely recommend! Beautiful sunsets!

We were very pleased with our stay. Was close to the waters ,which was exactly what we wanted. Was happy that the stairs had gates so that our young grandkids couldn't fall down the stairs. The seagulls took bread right out of our hands on the deck,so that was pretty cool! My older daughter and family that went with us have now booked it for June.

You could see the gulf and the bay from the deck. Plenty of room for the six of us and more. The owners answered all of the questions we had before the trip quickly and thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Can’t say enough about this property. The bay is within steps of the property and the beach is only a couple blocks over, but you can see it off the front porch. My husband and I brought our two children( ages 14 and 7), and my brother in law also accompanied us. My son loved fishing at the bay and off the docks in the canal. We used the crab traps and caught 4 crabs. Everyone on the island was so friendly. We also got to meet Tig the island cat ( who is quite well known).The check in process was easy,as was checkout. The house was clean and had the amenities we needed. This was our first time to the island, but we will definitely be back!

We love this house! It has the sound access and view with a place to dock a boat and short walk to the Gulf. Perfect setup for two small families. The kids love catching crab all week and then having a crab boil on the last day. Our kids also love the Herron and cat that hang around.

This was a relaxing spot to watch the gulf and bay with a comfortable breeze on the balcony. Easy access to the beach on the gulf. Just what we needed.

We loved our stay here! Plenty of options, as the house is situated between a canal and the bay - and just a short walk to the beach. We didn't mind the walk, but if there had been smaller kids with us a wagon might have come in handy. Gorgeous sunsets over the bay. The house had everything we needed - kitchen equipment, games, and even candles to enjoy dinner out on the deck. The wind kept the mosquitoes down during our time there. We will be back!

Coming from Texas, we stayed on a 4 day weekend. The properties walking distance from beach access on both sides of the island, vantage points from the wrap around deck, provided amenities, and owner suggestions/information were perfect for family, fun, sun, boating, crabbing and fishing. If we ever make it back to Dauphin Island, this will be our ideal location!

We had the best time! House was great with everything you could possibly need! Clean & comfortable! Loved the easy access to beach & bay! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we have a 2 year old & the first thing she did on the balcony was stick her head through the railing which meant she could fit through. So we couldn’t ever let her out without us! Which was fine, but just something to be aware of if you have small kids with you! Other than that, we loved! Very relaxing beach trip with kiddos! Thanks for sharing your home!!

With a cold, stormy, windy spring break this year, we spent more time in the house than we expected to. Nice views of the canal, comfortable, clean. Nice location, no issues at all.

What an amazing anniversary vacation! And this house made it perfect. The house was just as described in the listing (even better in person), and is bright, roomy, very well stocked, and sparkling clean. I loved that the bed in the master was a Sleep Number and so very comfortable. The views from both inside and outside the house were gorgeous. From the front of the house, you can see the bay and from the back, you are right on a canal and can see the Gulf. Every morning I'd sit outside on the porch swing with a cup of coffee and watch the dolphins frolic in the bay. The walk to the private bay beach takes less than a minute, and the private Gulf-side beach is also a very short walk. And if you prefer public beaches, they're just a short drive away. Both beaches by the house were so quiet and uncrowded which we loved as we were wanting something away from any crowds. Be sure to catch a sunset from the Gulf beach, and a sunrise over the canal while you're there. And check out the stars at night, too! It was so nice that my husband and I could fish right there in the backyard, and they even had crab baskets we got to use! We caught lots of fish and even several blue crabs. As a bonus, Henry the Heron hung out with us every time we fished, and the neighbor's cat TIG (The Island Greeter) made sure to pay us a visit, too. Location-wise you're a short drive to everything on the island including restaurants, the bird sanctuary, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Estuarium, Fort Gaines, and the Mobile Bay Ferry. The owners were extremely kind, helpful, and very responsive. With gorgeous views, an amazing location, and everything you could ever need to feel right at home, you won't regret booking this one! Just be sure to bring the bug spray though or you'll get carried off by the mosquitos on the island.

The owners responded quickly to my questions prior to our arrival. They were very helpful and accommodating. The short walk to the beach was so nice . Can't wait to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean with plenty of room. The location was perfect. It really is a easy walk to the beach. My sons enjoyed using the crab pots to catch crabs. It’s a quite area, we never felt unsafe. I would recommend bringing some mosquito spray if you plan on sitting on the dock fishing. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans for cooking. Having a washer and dryer was convenient too. I would definitely recommend this house.

We had an amazing time. Very short walk to both beaches and a wonderful view. Fun to fish off the back yard.

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay. The house was perfect for us and our kids. The property was easy walking distance to both the beach and bay access. We went to the beach twice a day, we visited the bird sanctuary, Fort Gaines and the Sea Lab Aquarium. We used the bbq and boiled about half a dozen crabs that we caught in the crab traps downstairs. It is worth mentioning that we specifically looked for an semi-isolated location because of everything going on. The houses, beaches and Dauphin Island area in general were uncrowded, at least this time of year. So that was nice. We had a great time! Thanks Rita and William.

The location could not be better! We had access to the beach, bay, and the canal. We could pull up to the back with our boats. The owners were very caring and responsive to us. Thank you.

This house was wonderful! The location was perfect. Walking to the ocean was 2 minutes. The bay was literally in the front yard. The views were amazing. The owners were wonderful and so helpful!

This house was great! There were views all around. The beach was in walking distance, easily. It would've actually been more trouble to pack the car and drive down the street to the beach. LOL! Any time we had questions about the area, or procedures, or anything, we got a very prompt reply. I would definitely stay here again!
