We had an amazing long weekend with our family. The location is private and in a lovely tree setting. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Our family loves to cook together and the kitchen was a cooks dream. Claudia was a great host and excellent communicator. We look forward to returning next year.

Bears Paw was very clean, very well equipped and the perfect place for our family gathering for my dad's memorial service. We had room to put together the things we needed. A very well equipped kitchen, although we didn't cook while there. My husband particularly enjoyed the sauna!

Thanks for a wonderful weekend! The house is absolutely beautiful and was fully stocked. Honestly one of the best houses we have stayed at. We definitely want to visit again.

Not only was the property incredible and exactly what we were looking for, but Claudia was extremely helpful, patient, and kind as well. My wife and I stayed here with our bridal the night before our wedding and, because of the timing of the rehearsal dinner, Claudia was very flexible with making sure we got checked in when it worked for us. Absolutely would recommend staying here, or anywhere managed by Claudia.

Our big family came together from six states to memorialize two beloved family members, and Bear’s Paw Lodge was just perfect. Ample space, thoughtfully supplied for a big group, and our welcome by the owner was so wonderful. It was just perfect. Highly recommended!!

We were looking for a place to stay with extended family over the holidays and found this beautiful home/ log cabin/ bungalow (call it what you will :)) The property itself is very comfortable, extremely well maintained and very well stocked with all the essentials. Claudia, the homeowner, was very kind and a pleasure to work with. She also let us know that we were free to come in anytime during the day and also leave as late as we'd like on the checkout date. We loved our stay - everything from the beautiful fireplace, the large living area, the very comfortable bedrooms to the ping pong table and the sauna. Highly recommend!

This house was the perfect back drop for a three family reunion. There was enough room for all to spread out and find their own space within the house. The kitchen is amazing and very well stocked. I would definately book this house again!

10 stars 🌟� 🌟�🌟�🌟�🌟� My family of 23 adults and 3 small children spent this past week - Christmas 2018 - at Bears Paw Lodge and had a fabulous time!! In fact we tried to book for next Christmas but it was not available :( The home was impeccable with every amenity you could possibly desire. They spared no expense on this home - from the comfy mattresses and pillows, hotel quality linens, Crate and Barrel dishes, Kitchen-aid appliances, down to the hand made soaps in every bathroom. The pictures do not do it justice as to the size of the rooms and the quality of the applications. We all had plenty of private space as well as group space. Claudia and Tom were very accommodating and quickly responded to any need we had throughout the entire booking process (we booked in January 2018). Claudia even met my mom and sister there in October so they could see the place. As for the driveway comments from others: it really was not that steep. We used it as a good excuse to get out and exercise; walking it daily and enjoying the peaceful surroundings along with all the natural wildlife. My only suggestion would be to improve the lighting at the dining table. We like to play cards and games, and at night it was difficult to see - beautiful fixture but poor lighting. The only downfall is that it is not available for next year. We are having a difficult time trying to find anything that even comes close to everything Bears Paw has to offer! Thank you Claudia and Tom for opening up your lovely home to our family! WE WILL BE BACK! ❤️

If you are looking for seclusion, but only 15 minutes from town, this is you place. We will definitely be back.

Tom was very nice and my family and I are very thankful that we were given an opportunity to stay here and we enjoyed every minute of it. We couldn't of stayed at a nicer place than this. We would definitely come back in the future. I recommend the stay. It was amazing and nobody wanted to leave. 5 stars from me!

The lodge was immaculate and beautiful. It had all the space we could want for all 20 something of us. The driveway was steep but excellent for a good cardio workout! We walked up and down quite a few times for exercise each day. Loved the kitchen. Awesome home. Will come again.

Beautiful well supplied lodge was perfect for our family reunion . Well mantained and plenty of room for group games and fellowship . Definitely worth the trip up the very steep drive . 😎

This was an amazing home/lodge! The pictures and write up were accurate to the place - amenities, layout, very clean inside and out, well-maintained. We couldn't have asked for a better place to have our Family Reunion. Our host, Tom, was the best - check in was great and he was accommodating in every area we needed. We had plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was beautiful as well as functional for such a large group. I loved every minute at the Lodge ... I even (almost) got used to the drive in and out :) Would definitely recommend Bear's Paw Lodge to anyone looking - you won't find anything better!

We loved our stay at the Bear's Paw Lodge. We went to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday with friends, and I chose it because it was a big house and a central location for those who would be coming. The house itself is incredible - the pics don't do it justice - and it is very clean and comfortable. Tom was wonderful to work with. He met us at the house when we arrived and gave a full tour of the place, and was easily accessible throughout the weekend if we had any questions. We can't wait to go back, this time in the winter!

We gathered for a family reunion with 12 adults, and enjoyed this amazing home for a long weekend. The setting, architecture, and space were incredible! Extremely clean, well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen. Double oven and large cooktop made it easy to prep meals for our large group. The outdoor views and large deck area allowed us to spend many hours playing corn hole and relax in the many Adirondack chairs. We enjoyed playing ping pong as well. Beds were very comfortable, crisp linens and plentiful towels with complimentary soaps in the bathroom. The location was perfect for exploring the local hiking trails. Appreciated the recommendation from the owner to hike the 1k step trail nearby. Tom was a gracious home owner, greeting us upon arrival and made us feel quite welcome. We will no doubt return, and look to stay even longer! Highly recommend!!
