Only complaint is lack of blinds on a window in the primary bedroom and bathroom. Felt like we were on display. Other than that it's a cute property.

We had a nice stay in this cabin. There’s a lot to love about it, but also some simple improvements that could make it a much more comfortable stay for others in the future.
First, the positives. The cabin is in an EXCELLENT location! Minutes from mountain biking trails, Pisgah entrance, downtown Brevard, Sliding Rock, and other trails! The house is virtually brand new, very clean, and cute! We had excellent communication with the owners and they were very accommodating. We cooked almost every meal there and found the kitchen to be well stocked. And it was a huge plus that there is a full size washer and dryer.
Things that could be improved:
There are no rugs (the whole house is hardwoods which is clean and nice but seems cold and loud) and very few blinds. Because of this, everything echoes and every sound is amplified - especially during the night (the ice maker woke us up multiple times each night and we seriously thought the kids were tumbling down the stairs). The beds were very comfortable but the box springs were so loud (on every bed) that we could hear our kids turning over upstairs and god forbid one of us turned over the middle of the nightwe would both be up for hours! There is only one TV (in the living room) and it is tiny. Also there are no tables in the living room to even set your drinks on. We constantly had to put drinks on the floor and hope no one knocked them over.
Overall, the house is in a wonderful location, is beautiful and very clean, but just rather uncomfortable. Some small changes with rugs to help diffuse the sounds, blinds in all the bedrooms, a coffee table in the living room, and new box springs on the beds would go a long way in making this place amazing!!

Beautiful and super clean house … very quiet and secluded location. Very nice kitchen and washer /dryer. Do bring some folding chairs to enjoy the front porch. We were in the middle of a lot of waterfalls and managed to see eight in three days! Don’t miss a drive to Highlands for Dry Falls. Worth the drive! Check out Oscar Blues Brewery just down the road. Excellent atmosphere for adults and kids. Great food truck for delicious burgers. Down town Brevard is so fun… but they close early.. so take a day and shop !

Secluded and quiet location

The house was adorable! We really enjoyed our stay. We loved that we had room to move around instead of cramped in a hotel. We got to spend memorable family time together while we celebrated our daughter’s college graduation. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

cabin was very clean and in new shape, located close to town but in a quiet area, lots of room for the two of us, house had everything we needed for cooking, house needed a few more curtains/blinds in the bathrooms, master bedroom and living room, master bedroom box spring makes a lot of noise every time you move I kept waking up my wife every time I moved. Overall a great house.

The house is clean and well maintained. It is perfect for our family of 5 for the weekend. We spent the day at Pisgah forest (20 minutes down the road) hiking, sliding down sliding rock, tubing, biking, and picnicking. We can’t wait to come back!

This was the perfect place to relax at with family. We were only 2 nights here but could have stayed much longer. We would stay here again. The fact that it was out of town but very convenient to places was a plus. Very quiet place.

Loved our 2nd stay here!
It's been 2 years since we stayed here, yet it still smells new! Great location and very clean. My only negative comment is that the kitchen is not stocked well at all. Only a handful of plates and not even a can opener when we needed one.

Lovely Red Cottage
We loved the red cottage. It is about 10 minutes from downtown Brevard. The house is very comfortable and clean. It is a fairly new home so everything is in perfect shape. It has big windows and it is lovely decorated . Loved the color scheme. Has good size closets. Loved the kitchen with its big sink and pretty granite, new fridge and wood floors. Our family enjoyed the house. Unfortunately, we could not stay there longer. Would love to rent it again next time we visit Brevard.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting!
A very relaxing and quiet stay. The cottage looks rustic on the outside with the beautiful wide porch. The inside is pristine with all wood or ceramic tile floors and a modern kitchen. The house was equipped with everything you need including a lot of towels. This is a great place to rest and relax. It is also a great location for the many parks and trails in the area. Downtown Brevard is just 10-15 minutes away. We were in town for a wedding and the cottage was a great get away from the crowded and noisy hotels. We let no one know where we were staying to protect our quiet sanctuary. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Location was great because it’s so close to DuPont & Brevard. Was great for our women’s weekend & mountain biking & hiking! New & clean house! Beautiful decorations! Kitchen could use more pans for baking and cooking. We will be back!

Felt like you were in the middle of nowhere!
Loved the remote feel even though we were close to everything. Cute property! Beds and pillows could use some upgrades, but other then that it was a great stay!

Clean & comfortable. Close to Pisgah Natuonal Forest and Brevard.
Overall a fantastic place. It is very minimally stocked in the kitchen though. If you plan to cook, you may want to bring some supplies- such as oven mitts. And there are no wash cloths with then linens.

Great location for access to fun
Superb spot if you're looking for quick entry into Pisgah National Forest or DuPont State Forest for family fun, hiking, or biking. We had a quirk with the front door lock which the owners addressed within hours. Great response on their part, and we look forward to returning.

Outdoor Enthusiast Paradise!
My boyfriend and I stayed in Joe and Marisa's cottage over Memorial Day weekend and had an absolute blast. We were visiting Brevard for mountain biking in the Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest and loved returning to their cottage for some good R&R. Their home is located very close to Dupont, Pisgah, and downtown Brevard which made for some great outdoor and urban adventures. We appreciated their luxurious touches and amenities. We will definitely be back!

Great little mountain get-away!
We had a great time during our stay at this cute mountain cottage. The owners were easy to contact with questions. The house was ideal for our 2 families and the decor and furnishings were beautiful and comfortable for the adults and children. The house appeared to be brand new and felt very clean and well kept. The location was good for both hiking and going in to cute downtown Brevard. We would like stay here again in the future.

Great vacation location for Mountain Biking
We were a group of 4 men on a MTB vacation trip. As we were the first occupant in this new home we had some initial problems that were very quickly resolved by Joe and Marisa. The house is perfectly located for this type of activity. The house is well design and very functional. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen equipment is basic at this time but I am sure the owners will complete it as time goes.
Thanks Marisa and Joe. We are already talking about going back next year.
