Nice and cozy, very effective for a ski vacation. Keep the heater on strong overnight as there is no heating in the bedrooms.

It was cute and comfortable. The bedrooms were as described. The kitchen was up to date and clean. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. We would stay there again.

Very comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood

We hiked, swam, tried the very shallow Truckee, but road bikes instead and read lots of good books. It was a perfect size cabin for my husband and I, and close to the market and a swimming beach. LOVE TAHOE!

Great place to stay. Great location, walkable to Sunnyside. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with walking paths. WiFi worked fine, place was clean and instructions were clear. Would stay again!

Cabin was very cozy and in a beautiful setting!

I really liked the cozy cabin. It had a great feel and located close to everything. I wish it had been cleaner, there were several cob webs that needed to be cleaned before a daughter would sleep in the room. The shower curtain needed to be cleaned or replaced as well. I also wished there was more toilet paper. There were only 2 rolls for 4 people to use for a 5 day stay. So be prepared to buy to bring your own. I wish there were some spare bed sheets for the kids room as they needed to be washed again to get the smell out before my kids would sleep in the beds. I know these are small issues we had, and other than that, this place was great, welcoming, and I would recommend staying again. My kids loved the singing bass on he wall and how it really felt like a cabin in the woods.

As expected the kitchen equipment was dated and not as good as at home but overall we were delighted with our temporary home.

The wood materials, as a builder, are very rustic. We liked that the place felt like visiting a family cabin, where simplicity and good quality come together. So many rentals have become like motels these days with fixtures that don't match the style of the area. Not this one. Don't change a thing. Thanks to the owners for the good times.

It has it's quirks for sure - and I felt like I was in a time warp circa 1980s. From the formica counter in the exact pattern from my childhood, to the singing bass wall decoration that my dad was gifted when I was 10. There were even Calgon bath beads ("Calgon Take Me Away!"), an original "Risk" game, and a crock pot that looked like it came straight from my childhood.The location was great to get to Alpine or Palisades to ski. There's no covered parking and the flat, "U-shaped" driveway was very slushy (with all the snow - you needed AWD/4WD to pass through). We had 2WD and just parked closer to the street - no problem.As others mentioned - the heater was not very sensitive, the wi-fi was extremely finnicky, and the fireplace was hit and miss. That said - Hauserman is amazing! They are SO receptive and on it. I would totally stay here again in a heartbeat - even with the quirks. But it will be even more amazing with a few updates (which I know they'll do in the near future!). Comfortable, clean, with a great location and amazing property management company... couldn't ask for much more! Oh - but one tip: bring your own coffee mug if you drink coffee. The mugs in the property are nice, but pretty small! Haha!

Cozy cabin close to Olympic valley . We’ll equipped , although gas fireplace insert in large stone fireplace never worked . This should be fixed, as we were there during peak of winter weather We did Lotsof shoveling over 3 days , to be able to get our cars in and out. We finally got prof assistance on the last night of our stay. But unfortunate I had to plead for the contractor to come by. Otherwise the place was special.

Very nice property over all and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a Tahoe getaway. The internet was spotty and cobwebs covered the ceiling. The management company was a little unprofessional as they never responded to my requests after I spoke with them but that is not a reflection of the home overall. If you are looking for a classic Tahoe experience I will highly recommend this location.

I was just looking for a cozy place to stay on the West Shore for Thanksgiving for me and my three mostly-grown kids. This place was perfectly sized - quaint and rustic but still had everything we needed. We were able to walk to Sunnyside and the Firesign Cafe, yet it was a very quiet and lovely neighborhood. Easy to get to Ward Creek and its trails right out the door. Loved this cabin and would definitely stay here again!

Almost everything is original. Which we just adored. It was perfect for us and would definitely be willing to rent it again. It also has 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. And Hauserman was great to work with. Thank you for helping make our anniversary memorable.
