Overall, a great cabin! Loved the location. Very close to the nearby city of deadwood, and only an hour drive to Mt.Rushmore. Great UTV rental place at the end of the street across hwy. Sat on the deck every morning to drink our coffee. Large dining room table was great for meals and games. With 3 levels, we were each able to have our own floor for sleeping which we loved. Cabin could use a few repairs. Kitchen faucet was in bad shape and 2 of the sliding shades on the patio doors would not go up or down. None of the toilets or bathroom mirrors looked as if they had been cleaned and a few utensils in the kitchen had dried food on them. Comforter in master bedroom was not clean. Despite this, we very much enjoyed this cabin and would definitely stay here again.

The location of the property is very easy to get to and a beautiful, relaxing spot especially with the wraparound deck with lots of living space to spread out in. If you need a place to kick-back and regenerate, consider Grand Lookout Lodge. Our stay took place during the summer so snow was not an issue. Our grandkids enjoyed the bunk beds and the wide open spaces to explore.

If you’re looking for luxury, this one misses the mark. The overall feel is that the owner hasn’t been around to do maintenance in a long time. Sad, because they could fix most of the issues in a long weekend. There’s a highchair and other infant things there, but the deck railings and the open stair risers both fail to meet 4” building code. They have gaps big enough for even older kids to fall through. Two faucets are broken - kitchen and powder room. Drip edge damage on the roof. Lighting issues. Broken chairs. Broken screens. Broken window shades. No house number at the road. The Wi-Fi was terrible, and the Wi-Fi device mentioned that the allowed data for the month had been used up long ago. The regular cleaning is fine, but you can tell the monthly deep cleaning isn't being done well. We didn’t try out the hot tub. Overall, a potentially nice property with poor execution.

The only downfall is it was very slick outside the garage door, having ice melt available would’ve been nice. You could tell that not much shoveling was done by the doors either. The upstairs king bedroom also has no working lights in it.

This property is located in a picturesque neighborhood just steps from where we rented our snowmobiles, which made things super easy. It is nestled on top of the hill amongst the trees and is beautiful! Overall I nice place for us to stay. Please know that you need 4 wheel/all wheel drive to get up the drive, this posed problems with one of our vehicles and we needed to find some place to park it. We had several rooms without functioning electricity, not sure if it was the light bulbs or switch. One bath had a faucet that wasn’t functioning well, just a trickle came out. overall this was a nice place and would stay again

Nice location to get right on the trails. Driveway was a little tricky with our snowmobile trailers but couldn’t beat the location and views

Pros: Perfect size for 12. Plenty of beds. Big dining table. Great location. Upstairs never got too hot. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels and pillows. Beds were actually comfortable. Cons: Some bathroom hand soaps were all water. Some bathroom shampoo dispensers were empty. Some bedding was worn and torn or looked dirty.

Our family of six had a wonderful time and loved the amenities, pool table, hot tub, comfortable beds and spaciousness of the cabin. Feels very secluded and is close to Terry Peak which is why we went but also next to snowmobile trails and local towns. Would definitely go again!

The cabin was a perfect location for our 3 generation family gathering! The wrap around deck has ample seating for coffee in the morning, dining room table fits 12 for meals and game and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. Pool sharks enjoyed playing billiards downstairs and the hot tub was relaxing in the evenings. We have stayed twice and would recommend for your next gathering!

The property was everything we could hope for. It fit our family of 11 very well. It was 95 degrees during our stay and the AC went out. Budi had someone come and repair it quickly and got us cooled back off. I’d love to make this a yearly stay for us!

The lodge was large enough for each family to have their own space. The kitchen is very large which made meal prep easy. We really liked to wrap around deck. The children could play out there and we even played bags. This lodge is closer to Deadwood and Leads. If you want to go into Rapid City it is a bit of a drive. This didn't bother us as we drove all over the hills. There is a very nice washer and dryer which is handy when traveling with kids. It is true that that the internet is spotty but we found this was truce throughout the Hills.

Next we got in late and the furnace is not working so we slept in a 50 degree cabin the 1st night, seems like that's something that should have been noticed before we got there. They did send a repair man out who told us he is "not able to work on this type of furnace ". Spent the next 3 days with gas fire places going 24/7 to keep it comfortable. Hot tub was a joke and we all came home with cuts on our bottom and backs due to what I was told was "Calcium Deposits". Overall a very dishonest and terrible experience, we will not rent from Black Hills Adventure Lodging again.

We had a great time at this location. The house is beautiful. Beds are comfortable. We were there to snowmobile. The only drawback is the driveway is steep and slippery. You can not pull a snowmobile trailer up this driveway.
