Great hotel near motorway

Restaurant only open weekend, but other Restaurant 6km away

This little gem is located only a few miles from the motorway. Breakfast very good. Good showers and super beds. Superb food and staff very nice and they speak English.

Apparently the restaurant is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So if you happen to have booked a room on a weekday the restaurant would be closed, and the closest place to eat is 8 km away. On the other hand if you have an overnight stay during the weekend you can have a superb meal in the restaurant. When they have a function like a wedding, they close the restaurant, (even if it is a weekend), but if you have a room reserved you can get a meal whatever they have available on the night...and it is always good.

Gummi bears on my pillow is an easy way to start my stay with a smile. The garden is pretty & the alpacas offer pleasing entertainment. Next time, I'll get a bedroom away from the country road & ask for a whole pan of the best scrambled eggs in Europe to eat all by myself.

I like everything about this gem. Fabulous food, lovely beds and staff who go out of their ways to please us. There happened to be a wedding with 70 guests the day we arrived. I had booked a table for dinner, and we were treated as if we were the only customers in the restaurant, amazing, as they also had 70 guests to serve. This is not the first time we are there and definitely not the last time. It is situated only a couple of miles from the motorway and is so convenient.

There is nothing i didn't like.

We only looked for a room at the last minute and found this hotel after some disruptions by bad weather to the start of our roadtrip. The gentleman at reception was really polite and we sorted out payment details via phone since we would arrive late and leave very early. The shower in our room was great and the room was really clean.

Hard to find fault given we only stayed for 7 hours and then left again.

Very close to the highway but with a countryside feel. For breakfast there were 3 types of meet. There is a ‘key dispenser’ for late arrivals. Very kind staff.

This guesthouse is an absolute diamond! The staff was kind and helpful. The food in their restaurant was out of this world. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The room was super with really good beds and lots of hot water. It is situated about a mile from the motorway so it is very handy and there is plenty of free parking . We cant recommend this jewel enough and we will definitely be back.

I personally like a slightly lighter duvet, but that is the only negative I can think of!! Just wish we have known of this little gem earlier.
