The TV has been upgraded as has the exterior and flooring. Because the space is small, the couch is small to fit. The outside patio and hot tub(new) have a fantastic view. The new refrigerator is an improvement, the stove could use an upgrade. The cottage is close to Mendocino and Ft Bragg, you can walk down to the ocean and hear the waves crashing from anywhere on the property.

The cottage, gardens and the views are spectacular, much better than the on-line pictures. We prepared most of our meals and had to make a couple of trips to the grocery store (near by) since refridgerator is small. The path to the private beach is fairly easy until the end where there is a big drop to get to beach. The good thing is the need to enjoy all the beauty of the beach; watching the waves, tide rise and fall, birds and wildlife may be enjoyed from the lovely deck and from the inside of cottage including from bed. We plan to visit again in the future. Thanks to the owners for sharing this special place to visitors.

Overlooking a cove in the early morning, and late evenings, from the cottage deck, presents anyone with a true experience of the many other areas of the Mendocino Coast beauty in nature.

Had a wonderful time at the Windrift Cottage! Perfect little place to get away and relax. The sunsets from the deck and private beach were amazing! The hot tub overlooking the ocean was the best! The town of Mendocino right down the road, was so cute! Loved all the little shops, boutiques, and restaurants.

Everything was just great with the cottage. The only hic cup was there was no place in the shower to put soap or shampoo

This trip was planned for our 35th anniversary and it could not have been more perfect! We knew it would be from the moment we got out of the car and walked up the pathway, surrounded by beautiful gardens, to the front door. The cottage was adorable and cozy, perfect for a couple! And much nicer then it looks in pics! Then you step out on the back deck and the view just takes your breath away! Absolutely gorgeous! I really can’t imagine a better view! Again, much prettier then the pics! Also the location was perfect, halfway between Mendocino and Fort Bragg, easy, short drive to both! We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage on the ocean!

This place was worth every penny. It was incredible. An entire experience in itself. I planned on hiking and visiting all sorts of places as my first time in Mendocino county. But this place is an entire experience in itself, so much so that we only left one day. We spent the rest of our stay there. We cooked, enjoyed the fireplace, enjoyed the hot tub, enjoyed the very comfortable bed, enjoyed the deck with a beautiful view (perfect for sunsets), but busy of all the beach access! We didn't need to go anywhere else, we had it all there. My dog got to be a dog and enjoy full freedom at the beach. Every morning she was eager and begging to go down to the beach. Thank you for sharing this magical place with us! We will be back.

The cottage was perfectly situated above the private beach where we could take in the ocean views. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at the end of a day of sightseeing. The cottage had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. There was a cozy fireplace, the kitchen was well stocked with amenities, and there were great picture windows to take in the ocean views. The cottage was also very private and quiet. We highly recommend the Noyo Harbor and the Slack Tide cafe for morning coffee and checking out the local birds and seals, etc just a few minutes north. We also recommend the Mendocino Botanical Gardens just a few minutes north on Highway 1 too. This is our third year in a row staying at Mendocino Preferred house and we highly recommend their company if you are looking to stay in the area. They are very responsive, friendly and professional and go above and beyond to make sure you have all you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The cabin was perfect for two people and a dog (would be even better if a dog bed was provided, since they are not allowed on any furniture. My lab had a hard time understanding the ban!-haha) I agree with others, that the small fridge is hard to work with, but you can make do if you bring a cooler. Also, Door Dash delivers some great food and who wants to cook on vacation anyways! :) We took an awesome hike down the coast and never had to get in the car! Everything is accessible from the cabin. The grounds are beautifully decorated and landscaped as well. We loved all the little figurines on the walkway! Mendocino PVR was great to work with also. Very professional and accommodating. We would definitely stay at one of their rentals again. Thank you!!

Cute house for one person or couple, nice walk to empty beach to enjoy. House cute but no freezer, small refrigerator so don’t bring too much food. Warm when I found the instructions for the fireplace. Wonderful view, nice bathroom, I did not use the hot tub, but it has a great view.

Ocean views. Nice walk to beach. New floors, bathroom remodel in progress. Needed soap/shampoo set up. Nicely appointed studio for two. Sit up in bed and watch the fishing boats and ocean. Very private. We are 80 and felt very comfortable with everything. Score it a ten for us😁😁😁 We’ll be back.!

The cottage was wonderful. What a location! I spent a lot of time just watching the tide go in and out and sizing up the waves as they broke on the rocks. I grew up in Malibu and nothing could compare to your cove. We had such fun and shared many laughs.
