Beautiful!

Our stay at this house overall was a good experience. Though it was marred by several events. It started with our check in process. We were told our check in was at 4pm. We arrived at the house after a 14 hour drive from Ohio. When we arrived at the house at 4pm, the cleaning crew was still in the drive way, and appeared to have just arrived. We waited in our vehicles with melting ice, cold food, and other items which required refrigeration or freezing. We waited a short time in our vehicles before calling the office. Though the employee we spoke with was extremely apologetic, we were on hold for approximately 10-15 minutes. We were eventually allowed to enter the home and put our items in the fridge, and/or freezer to keep items from spoiling or melting. Meanwhile, the housekeeper was cleaning around us. By approximately 4:30pm, we had our items in the house, but the cleaning crew was still working around the house. Over the phone, the management company stated they wished to "make it right", by providing a gift card, and/or gift basket to apologize for the inconvenience. We finished our stay, and never received any sort of gift card/gift basket, or any other compensation. Which I would not usually bring up. However, clearly posted on the homes refrigerator was a document stating we must check out of the home "Promptly" at 10am on the day of check out, or we would be charged an additional $200. There is more i will send in an email to the management company.

We enjoyed our stay, but there were a couple things that could have made it a little better. No Wi-Fi was a problem for the kids, a working pool light would have been nice and maybe upgrade of the sofas in the living area. A little more work on the front landscape would make the property look more inviting also and in the future new flooring but the stay was nice, location was great.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were 10 (2 family of 5) and everyone was well accommodated. The pool was the best of course for 3 kiddos and 2 teens it was perfect. And close walking distance to the beach. Of course it was a Hugh problem at the begging there was no network and we didn’t had wifi at the begging but someone came by and fixed it. The only problem we encountered and that is not really property related is the access to the beach we went thru the closest one and they didn’t let us stay there “private property” and had to walk further. We have stayed in this area before and had never had any problem to access the beach. But anyways would just be nice to note the correct Beach access now, at Hutchinson St and Pompano St.

Overall a nice stay. A few quirks like not enough towels or no trash bags are oversights. Biggest issue was the grill was filthy so it dangerously flamed up from all the old food and grease at the bottom. For the price we paid, I expected a little better attention to details.

Wildwood Cottage was nicely located within walking distance to multiple public beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The pool and pool area are wonderful. The front porch is lovely. Both master suites were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen could use a new fridge but the dining area worked for our group of 7 for dinners and cards at night. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This beach house was amazing. We had 7 adults, 1 teen, a 2 yr old and 2 infants. We felt so comfortable and felt we had plenty of room. The table was long and fit all of us very well. Since we were cooking each night and Thanksgiving dinner, we brought a few baking dishes and pots and pans from home. However, the kitchen was very well stocked and we didn’t really need our things from home. The location of the house is amazing. It’s a very short walk to 2 different beach entrances. We loved walking around the neighborhood and riding the golf cart that we rented. We always felt very safe. The pool out back was heated and provided a great deal of entertainment for the kids. There are plenty of chairs around the pool for all to enjoy. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week with our family and would definitely rent this house again!

Beautiful house with plenty of space for everyone. The pool was amazing and so much bigger than expected! Loved it!

The ad was misleading. All the beaches close by were private and you had to pay. The public beaches were a much longer walk. The pull out sofa had no blanket we had to ask for one. The grill only had one pilot barely working. We asked for someone to come out to fix it. We were not there and I received a condescending email explaining how a grill works and it works just fine. So I thought to give them the benefit of the doubt and when we checked it, it was still not working. So we had to make another call and finally got it fixed. But we had missed days we could have used the grill. There was a house alarm that kept beeping every five minutes saying battery is low and kept waking everyone up. We asked if they can fix that when they were coming for the grill but they never fixed it and it was going off the whole week- rather annoying. Also we had roaches in the house.

Overall, we had a good trip because we were with family and we aren’t a total bunch of Karen’s. However, the furniture has been a complaint in a few other reviews and it has yet to be updated. For example, the sleeper sofa in the guest house is awful… unusable. The “mattress” has to be older than me and is FULL of holes. Quite disgusting. The guest house is really nice though otherwise. They could really use more seating in the main house living room. The upstairs bedroom shower door doesn’t close securely. As mentioned in previous reviews, the cooking utensils are very sparse, so bring some with you. This is sort of my main complaint, the fact that all of these things have been mentioned/suggested by other people, yet they still aren’t fixed. Lastly, we paid for the pool to be heated, and I even made a point to ask if it would be heated for use upon arrival (to which I was assured it would be), but the pool heater wasn’t even on when we got to the house. Complete bummer for the kids, but we just turned it on and moved along. I know the response to this will be “we never heard from you, had we known we would have fixed the problem, etc” but to that I say, no one wants to waste precious vacation time going back and forth with a property manager that most likely isn’t going to or can’t fix the issues immediately. As I said, we made the best of it, but I would not rent this house again.

The guest house was such a nice addition. It’s a very short walk to the beach and we paid to get the pool heated. 10 outta 10 would recommend!

It was a good size for my family of 7. Having the pool was fantastic along with door alarms for pool access doors. Convenient to ocean.

Loved the location and pool with a heater was awesome. Just needs some updates.

Very nice house with loads of sleeping arrangements

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was big enough to accommodate all of us. Close to the beach and loved the private pool. However, the house was a little dirty and we booked a 2 week stay and were only supplied with essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, ect.) for about a weekends stay. Overall though we all loved our vacation here and in destin!

Great place and location, however, some of the furniture (Sofa and dining room chairs) needs to be replaced. Drain in main level bath tub is very slow (possible repair needed) Steps off of the the deck are not safe due to wood deuterating.

The set up was great along with the location. Walking distance to the beach and wasn't much traffic keeping noise level down. Only thing that we noticed is the House is a little outdated and needs some attention in areas.

Good location although I should have trusted the reviews …. House dirty , floors disgusting had to go buy a broom to clean before we could even unpack our things ! Dirt hanging from ceiling fan in bedroom … pool dirty , pool guy came on Tuesday and checked skimmer did nothing else ! Just sad that you spend thousands of dollars to rent a dirty house for your family to stay In ! Won’t stay at this property again !

We love the house, the location, and the second house which is very convenient and accommodating to large group of people the private pool is big plus to this vacation home. The furniture is old, outdated, hated the noisy exhaust fan in the master bath, When it rains there was a bad smell coming out from between the two houses.

Property needs updated a lot of things were old and broken and worn out, was told when I first book property that the pool would be able to be heated which this time of year and definitely need so the day before arrival was told that the pool heater is broke and cannot have the option of heating the pool so unfortunately we did not Get but hour use too cold Reached out to property management about all issues a foul rotten smelling odor coming from behind the house which no one ever came out to look at they just responded and said hopefully it would go away but it did not because there was water coming from somewhere between the two houses that was smelling like a dead animal

The location of this property is excellent! Just a short walk to the beach.

We came down for a bachelorette party and had a great time! The house was so close to a lot of things and was not that far from the beach. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

The house was amazing had everything we needed for a quick getaway for Fall Break. The pool was perfect and the distance to the beach was great.

Everything went smooth, house was clean, pool was clean and everything was in proper working order. Will rent this house again

This was a great place to stay for a couple of family’s wanting to experience the beach together. The pool is large for a private pool which is a plus. The house does need to be updated though, a couple of appliances didn’t work properly and there needs to be some type of pantry storage.

The property was great.

Good location and nice pool. House needs some TLC as it’s worn looking in some areas. It also needs a good deep clean - e.g. master shower has moldy tiles/grout. Cookware leaves much to be desired and found a cockroach in the coffee maker.

My family and I had a great time. The layout was great for being able to stay in and eat as a family since most everything was shut down. The pool was a great way to have fun and pass the time. I had such a good time here that I would want to buy this place so that I could have the place when I finally move back from California. Thanks for the great time.

We enjoyed the property. Great location. Mother in law suite was great for my son and his two year old. Pool was clean and heating was definately worth doing. We will go back

Very nice and clean! Pool was clean and large. There was 10 of us and more then enough room for all of us in the pool at the same time. When we checked in the trash can outside was full. We contacted RealJoy and they were there within 15 minutes to discard the trash for us. The house has everything that we needed. 5 stars and will definitely stay again,
