Great location for finishing a trek. Nice bar and restaurant, friendly staff. Good value for money

Room was poorly lit even with all the lights on. Struggled to get any natural light. I didn’t feel I wanted to stay in the room much. Ok for 1 night.

Delicious breakfast Friendly and helpful staff The hotel has a restaurant. There is also a small shop and a bar nearby. The hotel is located on the mountainside in a nice tiny village.

Lovely staff, good food (catered for vegan really well upon request!), very quiet mountain location with beautiful views, bar and restaurant and tienda on site, hot and powerful shower, shampoo and conditioner provided, little private balcony outdoor space :)

Could have had some coffee making facilities in the room/ glasses for water, otherwise can’t fault it!

Down to earth, friendly hotel in the La Gomera hills. Excellent service and value for money. Very pleasant room with balcony and both mountain and sea views. Restaurant had simple evening menu but very well cooked. House wine excellent. Good solid breakfast. Walking routes straight out of the hotel and bus stop outside too.

Wish they had double beds instead of twins beds.

Clean comfortable room, plenty of hot water, good wifi, excellent breakfast but most importantly friendly and welcoming hosts (thanks sonia). Cost is also very very reasonable, so that's a no brainer, book before Sonia will run out of rooms.

We stayed only one night, but at a busy time, and our room was modest, ground floor front. We had a good welcome, and the meals were very good (breakfast excellent), and good value. One of the only places to stay in the highest part of the island, and well located for exploring there, e.g. climbing La Fortaleza and hiking in Garajonay. We had an unexpected bonus, being there on the day and night of the festival of the Candelaria, 2 February (which was noisy, but fun and did not run late).

Unfortunately there was a power cut at 10pm, and it became cold and dark! Presumably this does not happen every night.

Perfect local hotel for hiking the GR 131. Good kitchen, friendly owners, nice breakfast.

Super stay at the Hotel Sonia Chipude. The receptionnist / barmaid / waitress made our day ! So lovely and helpful. The room was all comfy. It’s too bad it rained two days long with thick fog we didn’t enjoy the view on the balcony.. Good cuisine at night and the breakfast is great and personalized.

The rooms and the facilities in the hotel are not so quiet.

The place is beautiful and very clean and big. The owner was very nice and helped us with everything we asked.

There was not a lot of hot water in the shower and the food was fine but not excellent.

Excellent attentive service, friendly people who are always happy to help you, I think that's the most important when you are staying in a place, but everything else was excellent as well, I will definitely go back to stay there

The staff was very nice and welcoming, it started to rain before we arrived and we came all wet and the staff gave us towels to dry ourselves. The location was very good for us right on the trail we were walking on.

The room was big, but very basic. The shower had a vent which made weird noise due to the wind outside.

The bed we a little small. Dinner was very good bat not to vegetarian friendly.

Sonia and her staff have amazing energy and good vibes! Very nice and helpful. The beds were comfortable, the room had a view on the Fortaleza de Chipude. The bus stop was just in front of the hotel

the weather was cold while we were there and the bedroom was very cold. there was a heater in the room which was fine but a tiled floor which was freezing. a couple of rugs beside the bed would be an excellent addition

A great place to stay when hiking in the area. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the days walking. They also do hearty meals for lunch or dinner at excellent value. The staff were friendly and attentive. I think we may have booked the last available room and so were in a dark ground floor room without any view - fine for one night but if I was staying again for longer I’d try and find out as the upstairs rooms are probably much nicer.
