The check-in is easy, the facility is nicely remodeled and has spacious common, dining and kitchen areas. The heated pool was a huge plus for our spring visit; it makes this a 3-season house instead of 1-season. It is close to the North end of Bruce Dr (good) and the beach access path is unique, lovely fern and tree canopy. One small issue was resolved quickly by property management, an excellent plus.

This is a beautiful, well restored home. It was perfect for our extended family. This was our first visit to the Golden Isles of Georgia after living in Georgia for almost 30 years. We will definitley be back and this house will be tops on our list! A beautiful, quiet neighborhood and not the hustle and bustle of the Florida Gulf beaches. Thanks for a wonderful home!

Our family had a wonderful vacation at SSI, staying at "Retreat Home" on 2032 Bruce Dr, booked with Emmons Realty. The house is ideally located in East Beach: very close to beach access, roomy spaces in a vintage house with wonderful modern updates, and a very enjoyable outdoor space on the property with a pool. We would highly recommend "Retreat Home" on 2032 Bruce Dr. and booking with Emmons Realty. We will be sure to do it again!

Overall it was great. The pool & location was great. However, the bed linens need replacing & furniture looks very used. I’m glad I brought my own linens because the pillows and blankets were dirty. The kitchen was great but all the cookware was very random and leftoverish. There are no bread pans or good pots. The oven was ancient and awkward to operate but did the job. The freezer didn’t freeze, it was like a refrigerator. Ice maker for the counter was provided, enough for a couple people. The air conditioner upstairs didn’t keep upstairs cool enough. I would stay there again but would make sure freezer and HVAC are operating properly. You could tell it was end of season, lots of small maintenance needs and needed a deep cleaning. The washer and dryer were great to have because towels were limited too

What a great house! We had a great time! The only thing I would reword in your fenced in description is that its a "fenced in pool area" accessed by the master on main. Everything else was perfect!

We have been coming to East Beach since the 80's. This house gives you the character of East Beach and is conveniently located near beach access. Our group was comfortable as the house has good space for us to gather (group of 9+baby).

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The house was completely dog and kid friendly. The pool was so convenient and heated to an amazing temperature. The beach was also SO close and secluded. We loved it!!!

You can't beat the location of this house, only 2 blocks from the beach. So easy to walk to. And easy driving access to restaurants and shops. The house was wonderful! The yard with the pool area and the fire pit was so private and relaxing. The house had plenty of space for our family of 9 people. The beds are SO comfortable - we all slept great! The only complaint I have is they updated the kitchen with high end appliances but it is not a well stocked kitchen as far as utensils, pans, plates, glasses, etc. We struggled with finding basic things needed for cooking. And what they do have is very cheap, low end. But if they upgraded some of that, then they could call it a chef's kitchen but as it is now, it is simply not. Overall a wonderful house and we enjoyed our stay. St. Simon's is a fabulous beach town.

We recently stayed at the beautiful and well-restored home on Bruce Drive for a two-week vacation with our extended family. As first-time visitors to the Golden Isles of Georgia after living in the state for almost 30 years, we were thrilled with our stay and plan to return. The house was perfect for our family, and we loved the quiet neighborhood, which was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of Florida Gulf beaches.The house itself was spacious and beautiful, with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the abundance of indoor and outdoor seating options that accommodated everyone. And the best part was the short two-block walk to the beach, which was a real highlight of our trip.Throughout our stay, Emmons Realty was great to work with. They even provided wood for the fire pit, which was a nice touch.Overall, we highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-stocked vacation rental in a great location. Check-in and check-out were effortless, and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful home!

Overall we had a great time! Property is dated and could use some upgrades. Several small items need to be repaired like gate latches and door knobs. Vent cover on the microwave fell off and hit our mother when she was cooking.

Superb location in the center of the East Beach neighborhood on SSI. This is one of the older beach homes filled with character. It had everything we needed, and I will rent again if I need a house this large. We especially loved the fire pit for chilly evenings, and the option to heat the pool.

St Simons is a delight, with canopy roads, varied architecture of homes, and gorgeous beaches. This home has lots of great amenities and is a relatively short walk to the beach through a charming forest path. The property & the island are also very dog friendly!
