If you live in a city or even suburbans rent this house! It's truly spacious, there are three bedrooms far from each other, a volume ceiling on the main floor, and nice kitchen with everything you'd need. It's located in an isolated place but not too far from the road. The air is fantastic and the view from the windows is gorgeous! Highly recommend it!

This was our second stay at the property. We returned because we were very pleased the first time, and will return again in the future. Excellent location, close to Durango, yet off the beaten track. Lovely view of the snow-capped mountains. Well though floor plan. Lacking none of the amenities.

This home is perfect. It’s peaceful, spacious and has everything my family and I needed during our stay. Morris has gracefully hosted us at his home for the past 3 years now. My husband , 2 dogs and infant loved making memories there cannot wait to go back again!

The whole house was very spacious and clean!! The view from the patio was very beautiful!!! The whole atmosphere was very calm and relaxing!!! I would recommend anyone to stay here if your wanting to relax!!!

Truly enjoyed our stay in this well maintained / clean home. Had everything we needed for a peaceful stay. Morris sent great communication and the home was a delight! This was an oversight on our part when booking, but the home has stairs required to access the outside and beautiful waxed hardwood floors that were difficult for our senior dog to navigate. Again, an oversight on our part, but would affect us staying there again so we figure it might be helpful knowledge for others.

This was our first visit in December. It had snowed before our arrival, and continued to snow all during our stay. It was magical, warm and cozy in the cabin with the fireplace crackling! Morris was great, checking in with us to ensure we had all we needed. It was just perfect.

We have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house several times. This home is impeccably maintained and is incredibly well-appointed. The views are stunning (especially after a snow event). We love (even in the freezing cold) sitting on the deck enjoying the peacefulness, seeing the wildlife in the yard and starwatching at night. Thank you, Morris, for sharing your beautiful home!

This was our 2nd stay at this property, and it was just as perfect as the first time. The home was immaculate. The furnishings cozy and comfortable, and the view was lovely. The location is private, but close to Durango for grocery runs or a meal in town. Morris was lovely to deal with ad always.

The house was immaculate including the windows! It was the best stocked place we've ever stayed. The view was gorgeous and there were deer in the yard daily. Loved the rocking chairs and hammock. Only problem was that the internet wasn't great - bring boosters. Looking forward to getting out of the heat and spend another summer hiking, rafting and eating in Durango next year!

Great house. Very peaceful, yet close to Durango and all it has to offer. Beautiful sunset and mountain views from the big deck. Beautifully designed home with big rooms. Owner was wonderful and the home was incredibly well stock with everything you could need.

Pros Great property with large deck to enjoy the nature of Durango. Clean and ample amnesties. Calm neighborhood which is great to go for walks. Closer to the town. Excellent communication with the property owner, who was very responsive. Cons: Bugs and slow internet speed. Unfortunately we had big and strange looking insects visiting us many rooms everyday. We chalked it up as staying in the country. Still, waking up with a bug on your face or finding them in the closet was not a good experience for the children. On one particular day, we had a large outbreak of insects. I bought bug sprak, took care of them, and vacuumed. This freaked out the entire family. Two of the family members had school work to complete during the vacation. If one person was on video calls, the other one could not be on video calls or watch something. The network buffered bad, which was an issue for us.

The house was absolutely beautiful, and was perfect for our family of 4! The house had everything we needed and much more!! We definitely would recommend this house to anyone staying in Durango!

My husband and I have nothing but wonderful praise for the gorgeous property we had the privilege to visit. The cleanliness, comfort and amenities were everything we could have hoped for and more. Stayed here for the second time. The owner has been amazing to work with, the property is fantastic especially for larger families, and each time we stayed we marvel at the design and functionality of the home.

My husband and my 2 dogs, decided to come back to Morris’ home for a second time and I have to say our stay was just as perfect as the first time. The house is fully stocked and a perfect getaway location. So much open space in the house and in the property for us to roam around, plus serene location for some unwinding and relaxation. We’ll for sure be back!

Our granddaughter called your home our Colorado House for the 10 glorious days we stayed. I tear up just thinking about the warmth and welcome we felt every time we came back home. Your home made our visit to Durango extra special. Plenty of clean towels,sheets, and the paper goods were well stocked. We found the house very clean and fell in love with it! The design is gorgeous and it worked perfect having a spacious upper level and lower level Thank you,Morris, for sharing your special place with us!

We just returned from our Durango trip and talked about how much we enjoyed staying at the "Nothing But Compliments" lodging. The location was absolutely the best in Durango, being close enough to town, yet still feeling isolated with great mountain views. We enjoyed relaxing in the evenings on the deck watching the sunset over the mountains. Will definitely book again on next trip to Durango area.

As other reviewers have stated, the pictures do not capture the charm of the home. We spent most of our time on the deck, enjoying the beautiful weather and the view. We have stayed at other homes in Hesperus, and the others do not compare.

Our family made a trip to Durango to celebrate our daughters wedding this house was more than I could have imagined. We have stayed at so many homes in the past but have never had a place that had all of immenities as this house has. If l was to rate it the house would get a 10 star rating. To cook and prepare food on the viking stove, for my daughter's wedding and to preserve it in the sub zero fridge. Was every chef's dream! Having the bonus kitchen downstairs was awesome as my daughter baked all of the sweets from there. The downstairs is so private with an over abundance of space, and not to mention Morris had stocked the cupboards with any incidentals needed in case of running out of anything . I Loved when I did have down time, to sit on the deck and enjoy all of the bueatiful grounds and nature. Even our fur babies had so much fun in the enclosed pen. Hands down the most amazing home I had the chance to stay at!! Judy from AZ

Our stay was wonderful but all too short. We tried to do way too many things to really enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the property. The kitchen and front deck were great for gathering. We spent most of our time there, cooking on the beautiful stove and working puzzles with the little ones in the front deck. The whole house was wonderful for a family to be together - so comfortable and homey. We loved the great art and music collection! Everything was perfect and I will definitely let anyone visiting Durango know about this wonderful place!

What a lovely home! The intentionality and thoughtfulness was found in every room. We found the architecture particularly beautiful and intriguing. Sunset viewing, late night stargazing, and family table for games were our favorites. It was also a perfect location just a few minutes from town but felt private, nestled in the woods. Thanks again!
