Six of us from the WMU class of ‘76 wanted to get together this year, as we all hit the milestone 70th birthday. Luckily we all still live in MI, so we wanted a big house in a quaint little town where we could all gather and catch up on life and remember our bronco days and celebrate our friendships! This house fit the bill! We loved the screened in porch and large dining table where we could all gather. Some took a walk; some shopped. We picked up pizza for the first night and dined out the second night. Cooking brunch was a breeze in the well appointed large kitchen. Communication with Alex, the owner, re: check in, check out and even a “how is everything going” was easy. The write up and instructions were accurate; bring your own body wash/shower soap and shampoo. There are no bedrooms on the main level. Just be aware if anyone in your group has mobility issues. But a great time was had by all.

We had a restful and comfortable stay in the Farmhouse for a short getaway with our siblings/spouses. We loved everything about the house - amenities, decor and location. It was a nice walk to downtown Saugatuck. We enjoyed the restaurants and the shops. We hike at Saugatuck Sand Dunes State Park to see Lake Michigan and spent a day in Holland enjoying the tulips at their peak. We would love to return to this house again and stay longer!

My family and I (two adult couples and children 16, 14, age 12) had the most amazing week at this wonderful home. I have stayed at plenty of rental properties, and no house has ever been this clean, organized, and convenient. We had plenty of space to spread out and plenty to do when we were together. And the owner is fantastic at communicating. Everything in Saugatuck is within walking distance, and several other towns are just a short drive away. We look forward to returning soon.

I’ll start this review with how nervous I was to cook and prepare large meals outside of my home. Alex’s house was a dream! Everything I needed or Could have needed was in the kitchen. The most well stocked rental I have ever been in. Being able to cook and prepare while my family was in the lovely dining room or living room was great( loved the floor plan). The teens enjoyed the spacious basement and the ping pong table was a massive hit.! We had a fabulous vacation and would rent the modern farmhouse again for sure!

This house had it all. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, linens, and they even provided plastic wrap and Ziploc bags, kids toys and games… The list goes on. It is so rare to find a Vrbo that has so many amenities included. There was no soap in the shower, but everything else was just amazing. An absolutely great house. Very close to town with plenty of sleeping options. We would love to come back.

My family of 15 including children and grandchildren enjoyed staying in this wonderful home. It was perfect for our entire family and plenty large to spread out especially for the grandkids in the basement. The location couldn't be better. Great host. Looking forward to another trip to Saugatuck.

We stayed here for my sisters bachelorette weekend and it was 10/10! Can’t say enough great things about the house location and walkability to all the fun bars, restaurants and shops! The house contact Alex was super speedy with responding and extremely nice! We will definitely be back to Saugatuck we loved it!

Extremely well equipped spacious home with plenty of comfortable sleeping arrangements for our group of 13 celebrating an 80th birthday. We were impressed with how well the kitchen was equipped for home-cooked meals for a large group. Plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and dishes, plus all kinds of helpful kitchen gadgets to prepare a gourmet meal. The home was very clean, beautifully decorated, equipped with all kinds of toys, games, and entertainment options for all generations, including beach toys, strollers, and Pack & Plays (our group did not use these, but was impressed with the supplies). We loved the screened porch which comfortably seated our group, the larger dining table and the nice family room. We very much appreciated the great location, within a 8-minute walk to downtown Saugatuck. Alex, the manager, was very responsive and helpful with suggestions for activities. We highly recommend this home and would love to come back soon!

Alex's home was absolutely lovely and we had the perfect stay. The house was incredibly spacious, clean and well organized, and with a group of 5 couples, everyone had plenty of room to spread out and relax as well as enjoy the common areas together. Our group loves cooking and the kitchen was nicely stocked to enjoy meals together. The location in Saugatuck was easy and walkable to downtown, as well as a short drive to the beach. We loved our time away and definitely hope to return!!

A great place to gather together with family from out of state. Preparing meals in a large fully stocked kitchen then sitting down to a dining table that seats all twelve of us was perfect. Just a short walk to the charming downtown waterfront.

The Saugatuck Modern Farmhouse definitely exceeded expectations. It was an amazing house in an amazing location for our group of friends in town to enjoy a couple days in and around Saugatuck. The house was very spacious, very clean, and very comfortable. Communication with the property manager was perfect and made check-in and check-out seamless. Overall a great experience.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Modern Farmhouse. The house was great. Big kitchen,(stocked well) plenty of eating space. Large bedrooms, loved the screened in porch and the back porch with the fireplace. Great place for s'mores. Location was perfect, only a quick 10 minute walk to town. Alex was great to work with!! Would definitely recommend this house!!

Beautiful house and great outdoor spaces. Ideal for family get together. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Will stay here again next year. Loved the kitchen. Floors were not very clean and that should be addressed. Also, we were left with full garbage bins from previous group. Assuming this is an isolated incident. Alex is very responsive. Overall, we had a great stay. Would very much recommend.

Stayed here over Memorial day weekend and great location near restaurants and bars and water, short drive to dunes park. Nice clean house. Enjoyed our time here.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the modern farmhouse. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces especially the screened in porch and the backside patio with the outdoor fireplace. The family room offered beautiful views of the blooming trees in the front yard. A very short and pleasant walk to the town center was an added bonus. Overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

4 generations spent time in this lovely home for the Easter weekend. It was exactly as pictured and how I can confirm that is my sister put together a scavenger hunt based solely on the pictures from the listing and guess what they were correct. All in all wonderful home, great location- walking distance to town, parks.

Nine of us gathered here for a girls weekend/reunion. This home has more than enough space to cater to large groups or multiple families. We each had our own sleeping space. Pictures are accurate- spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. The home was clean and comes with a kitchen that will make you want to make a meal at home! The location is ideal- tucked away from the night life, but close enough to walk to downtown/water. I would return here in heartbeat!

Had a lovely extended weekend with friends in Saugatuck. Walked downtown from the property multiple times and explored the nearby hiking areas. Had a group of 10 and we were very comfortable. The house is beautiful and has plenty of space for a large group to gather comfortably. Alex was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond. I highly recommend this property.
