We had a great time! My 7 yr old absolutely loved the little house. Being so close to the beach was perfect for running back for lunch. 10 minute wapk along the black river lead us to thr museum and drawbridge to the south end and shops.
The house is definitely small, but had everything we possibly needed and more. The host was awrsomr eith communication. We are hoping to return next summer for a linger stay.

The picture of this site in VRBO was very mis-leading. It is obvious that this building used to be a garage and now 1/2 has been converted into a very small living space. No place to put your luggage except in the front room where you also had to change your clothes as the bathroom was too small. The mattress definitely needs to be replaced. The draperies are very thin; they need to install black-out draperies. If you are standing outdoors and look in, you can see through the draperies. Yes, it costs to keep items current; However, you need to consider your guests and their needs and privacy. Also, we had to strip the bed and dry the shower. Why isn't the housekeeper doing this? We were told this place was cleaned before we arrived, why then was there dirty underwear on the floor by the dresser? Plus the liners in the stove were filthy. Several items need to be up-graded.

This beautiful beach house is a gem; the view and easy access to the beach is truly amazing. We simply walked out of the door and the beach was right there. We’ve stayed at many beach houses and this one is truly at the forefront!
The amenities and easy access made our stay truly restful and enjoyable for my daughter and I in our birthday weekend.
Karen, the property owner, sent clear information and the house was extremely clean and well appointed with games, bedding, kitchen items, etc.
I hope to return next year for another wonderful weekend!

Unit is somewhat Dated but spotless , steps to north beach, view of the beach and lake Michigan albeit you are also facing the parking lot. Quiet area. It is very small but it was just myself so I had plenty of room and furnishings were comfortable. Communication with the owner was very timely and easy. I would stay here again but only by myself or one other person. Cost was in line for the accomodations.

My week vacay in South Haven was great! Once i arrived and parked the car I didnt drive again until I was ready to go back home. Walked all over town everyday. Hit the beach which was right outside my door, went to a movie, popped into some shops. Ate at the local restaurants. Booked a facial at LizRyan salon. Bummed the massage was booked out a month and a half but enjoyed the mini facial. Overall weather was great rained one night but it gave us an awesome sunset the following night. Could have stayed another week.!

Our first trip to South Haven was wonderful! We are already planning our next trip. The location was absolutely perfect, we literally just walked out the door to the lake. While we did not use the grill, there is a great little sitting area outside that we used daily while there. The owner was super responsive and so helpful.

We loved our stay at the Little House, it was the perfect location, just steps away from North Beach. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our multiple night stay. The host was quick to respond to any questions. We look forward to staying here again!

This tiny cottage is a great location for beach access. The property appeared to be clean on the inside. The window unit airconditioner is located in the small living area. This made the temps on a warm day a little stuffy in the back bedroom. Also, this bed needs to be replaced, it's old and offers no support. When you sit on the side it come close to the floor. The bathroom vanity area is basically non existent. You cannot stand in front of the mirror and raise your elbows to style your hair as the space is very small. We improvised in the bedroom but the lighting is poor there.
We were very disappointed in the outdoor space. The weeds were plentiful and very overgrown. The sitting area and grill were not usable unfortunately. This cottage serves a purpose for a place to sleep and was clean but needs a serious remodeling.

This place is really on the beach. I would rent this again. It would have been great with a Kuerig! Believe the word little, but somehow it all works out for 2 people.

My wife and I love North Beach but for the two of us on a quick trip we don’t want to spend a fortune. This gets you on North Beach with a view of Lake Michigan and walking distance to town (if you like moderately long walks).
It’s very small but has comfortable bed and daybed bathroom and kitchenette although when it’s just the two of us we eat at the local restaurants.

What a great little house. Perfect location, steps from the beach, close to shopping and restaurants. What more could you ask for. I can’t wait to come stay again. Although the house is small, it has everything you need! My Husband is 6’4 and was able to make the little house work for him with no problem. Bonus… there were a few games there that I hadn’t played in years. So much fun. Best part was we were able to bring our dog along. The piddle park was super close, just up the hill. I can’t say enough about the owner. She was lovely . Great communication! We will continue to come stay for as long as she will have us.

We spent 3 nights here. Location is great just steps from the beach. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate; the wind howled, the sand blew, and we spent more time inside than we would have liked. Being tall people with big feet, we needed to move around carefully. Hubby bumped his head on lights multiple times (the house is described as small). Bed was a bit too soft. We didn’t cook, so can’t speak of kitchen but it seemed well supplied. Appreciated coffee pot & microwave. Despite temps as low as 40s, the house stayed warm; didn’t need to use fireplace. Karen was great with communication.

Worth the price for a night or 2 for the view/location
When I booked back in April, only 2 consecutive days were available in June.
This was a good thing though because I was ready to leave after the constant humming from the refrigerator drowned out by all the AC units (1 just inside, and 2 poweful, roaring ones outside the front door on the rear of the neighboring party.
The "patio" was sucky, cluttered with miscellaneous, non patio items, like a plastic wicker storage container to store linen for the main house.
Was glad to find a fan in the bedroom closet which made the bed tolerable in the small, non ventilated box.
Had to shave in kitchen sink since I couldnt fit in front of the tiny, poorly lit bathroom sink.

Great Stay On A Great Lake
We LOVED this place. It was exactly as described. It's small but was very comfortable for the two of us and our pup. The beach, which was very clean, is just seconds away. We enjoyed grilling on the new gas grill and wished we could have stayed long enough to enjoy the fire pit. Overall, the Little House is a winner!

The beach is steps away from your door and can be seen from the front window. This is a great place because beach front is a priority for me. We enjoyed the tiny house feel. Karen was a very responsive host. I would stay here again!

Weekend at the Little House
The Little House was perfect for a weekend getaway for my husband and me! It was just steps to the beach to sit by the lake and watch the beautiful sunsets. The house lives up to its advertising—it is very little, but it provided everything we needed for the amount of time we spent in it. The house was clean and felt safe, and I was able to reach the owners when we had issues with the cable. A couple of notes: the shower's low water pressure made it difficult for me to rinse my hair thoroughly, and the exposed wires in the front room might be a hazard if small children are around.

It’s property is exactly as explained and shown. It is a quaint little cottage directly off the beach. Being there on a slow was absolutely perfect, I could see beach & Lake from inside the house. Everything is within walking distance and the owner super easy to work with... I will be renting again!!

Booked the cottage for the location! Can't beat it and the price you definitely cannot beat being on NorthBeach in SouthHaven!! A little small but it stated this in the ad. It worked perfectly for the 2 of us. Thanks so much for the affordability to such a splendid beach stay. Nice to see one can still have an affordable trip these days in such a lovely location!
