My family and I had a wonderful time. The property is easy to locate and stores are just a few minutes away. The cabin, pool, and grounds were clean and neat. Cabin is also well stocked with essentials. You really only need to pack clothes and groceries. Mrs. Judy is very very kind and available for anything you need. She made us feel like we were family. We love her and will definitely visit again.

Awesome location with a quick walk to the water. Several options to cook indoors and out. Spacious home with a very cozy vibes. Judy is an incredible hostess who was accommodating in every way imaginable. Not a dull moment with the lake, gorgeous swimming pool, pool table, TV with cable and dvds, a fire pit, and opportunities to enjoy music at every part of the property. We will be back, for sure!

Where to start, smile. From start to finish, our stay was just exactly what I'd hoped. Hostess Judy's communication is impeccable. She texted several times prior to our arrival and we spoke by phone, too! I instantly knew the right decision about our first VRBO experience was affirmed. In fact, her warm, welcoming, big love, and vivacious energy made me feel like she was already family. I felt informed, educated, and made to feel like the most important customer on her agenda. We arrived just as the big storm hit. Judy welcomed us in her golf cart with a beautiful smile and hugs - and an umbrella. She thinks of everything!! We scurried into the most charming little house, perfectly appointed with beautiful lighting and an ambiance to say, "We're so glad you are here." We scooted into her golf cart for a tour of the property and she made it oodles of fun for the kiddos. She hung a Happy Birthday banner for my daughter and even had cheesecake with strawberry swirls and candles. Oh my goodness, my heart smiled in a grand way. We settled in and I marveled at everything I saw. The place was cozy, with a wonderful clean aroma, and I could easily surmise the love that went into preparing for our arrival. The kiddos loved the bunk beds and of course, my bed felt as though I was sleeping on a cloud. The kiddos swam and kayaked and frolicked around without a care in the world. The kayaks were plentiful and there was #KayakChoice - who knew, smile. The pool table was used a whole lot, games on the shelves were played, and a huge bonfire was made the next evening - perfect for smores. Fun facts: It's only eight (8) miles from Kingsland, where the local HEB is, and at sunset, you must go to the High Point, up the road to take in the majestic colors. There's an excellent chicken spot - Krispy Krunchy Chicken - at the Valero store in Kingsland. It's a must-try plus the locals love it!!! Our Great Pyrenees was happy soaking in the cool night breeze and birds bathed in the bird baths. The night lighting made it even more picturesque. After our two-night stay, we left with smiling hearts, vowing to return for another special occasion. I can on and on and on (smile) but hopefully, this gives the next prospective guest a flavor of our experience. My goal was to create lifelong memories and I do believe it was a resounding success. My wife and 3 small children stayed at this cabin for our spring break vacation. I knew the cabin would be great from the listing and the other flattering reviews. The host, Judy, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. She opened a line of communication from the moment I booked the property, which was very helpful as I began preparing for our trip. When we arrived, she greeted us with fresh homemade cookies and she proudly showed us around the property. She drove us down to the lake in her golf cart and she let my 9 year old son take the steering wheel for a while which he thought was the greatest. Each day of our stay she would reach out via text message to see if we were enjoying ourselves and if we needed anything. She offered to drive us to the lake on her golf cart but, we never took her up on the offer because the walk was so short and we enjoyed the scenery anyway. The restaurants we dined at were also at her recommendation and we greatly appreciated that. She gave us the right balance of privacy and accessibility. She made us feel like family. The cabin itself was exactly what we wanted. The beds were clean and very comfortable. The backyard was perfect for my kids and dogs to run around and play in. We loved the fire pit and the s’mores we roasted. The pool table was also a highlight of our whole experience. We visited Inks Lake State Park and Longhorn Cavern State Park, which were truly breathtaking. I have no criticism to offer on this review. Well, I wish the weather was a little warmer. We definitely would have spent more time on the kayaks and cooking on the cool outdoor kitchen if it weren’t so cold outside. Overall, this was a terrific vacation spot and my family will remember this spring break forever. The next tenet will not be disappointed.

Super cute, well-equipped home, with a very hospitable host. The location was great for Longhorn Cavern State Park and Inks Lake State Park.

Very comfortable. We went fishing and cooked our catch using the outdoor kitchen, which was awesome. Judy greeted us with a smile and a tour of the property. At night she had the fire pit ready to go for us.

We had an amazing stay at this property! Judy went above and beyond to accommodate us and made it extra special for some birthdays we were celebrating. She communicated everything in detail and was fast to respond whenever we had any questions or needed anything. The cabin was cozy and location was very peaceful. Would love to come back for future stays!

Cozy place with everything we could want. It was a quick trip this time, but we would come visit again! Host is very responsive and welcoming.

Judy's place was perfect for our needs. The cabin is small, especially if you have six adults, but it worked just fine for us. The setting is beautiful and the pool was wonderful. It's a shame the lake is so low but it turned out to be a minor inconvenience -- just a few more steps to access the water. Judy is a wonderful host. Besides the normal host duties she had a birthday banner and treats for my wife's birthday and found and returned a lost earring. We will stay again for sure.

Super cute country cottage right by the lake! Beautiful landscape and flowers galore. We made a bon fire, kayaked, swam, looked for trinkets on the beach, rode our bikes, and ate outside! Truly, all the things summer is made for. This place has it all. All “the little things” are found here! Our family with young kids had a blast! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

We don't get to spend time all together to often due to so many of us working in medical professions and having time off at the same time is rare. Anyways, this place exceeded our expectations! The pool was so clean and cool which was great on the hot summer days. Plus this place had every float, toy and towel needed for our families. The cabins were clean and smelt soo fresh! They had everything we needed, paper towels, toilet paper, zip lock bags, coffee maker, plenty of cooking supplies.. plus more! We are soo thankful to be able to bring our dogs along with us on our mini vacation because they are truly part of the family. Both our dogs swam every day and multiple times in the lake (short walk from cabin) and had the best time (it was hard to get them out of the water). Everynight we made a fire and roasted marshmallows under the stars. It a family weekend of some great memories Made! Judy is the biggest sweetheart!! She made everything so easy from start to finish and was truly so accommodating the entire trip. She even had all the kayaks down by the water ready for us when we got there. Thank you so much Judy, we were so blessed by your kindness to our family! We all definitely want to return and spend another amazing weekend on this perfect property!!

We were looking for a large space we could all share like an old school sleep over. This was perfect. It was very open and no one was isolated. Judy was a great hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Short drive the Inks state park where we hiked.

Honestly, the king bed was the best bed I have ever slept in. The house is just so cozy and had everything we needed. Judy helped us with places to eat and which wineries to visit. It was just wonderful. We will definitely come back. :)

Black Rock Park and boat ramp less than 1 minute away! It’s also pet friendly with a yard. Our cabin was very cozy with a pool table that kept our boys entertained at night. The kitchenette is perfect for any family. Very tidy inside and out. And the covered outdoor kitchen has extra space if needed. Cabin was clean and well presented. Owner showed us around to all the amenities. Location is great. Secluded but close driving distance to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Judy met us at the house when we arrived, gave us a tour of the amenities and the house. She had prepared a Anniversary banner, cheesecake, and champagne for us when we arrived. She checked in on us daily to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was comfortable and they supplied a lovely ready to start fire for us outside. Overall, we had a nice stay!

So many outdoor cooking options and all ready to go. Fire pit even had kindling and fire starter ready. Judy thought of everything ahead of when we realized we needed it.

Owner has everything you could need and was very kind. Kids loved the pool table and the pool area was great! Property also had beautiful landscaping. Would definitely stay again!
