No heating

Communication from Opal Bank was excellent. My room was very clean & comfortable. It suited my needs perfectly. Ideal location with bus stop right outside property.

The place is easy to find, staff keep you updated about everything and also available all the time if needed. The room was beautiful, clean and cosy. I've enjoyed my stay at Opal Bank.

I loved the cozy feeling. And the heating system worked just perfect for me.

The location was very central, both for banking and eating. Parking though is not available on site, but was only a 5 minute walk away, for a whopping £2.70 for a 24 hour period. I felt reasonably safe walking to the parking in the early morning and back again at night. Interacting with the manager via messaging was simple with, usually a prompt responses and effective assistance.

My room, while clean and comfortable was on the first floor, there was a fair amount of traffic noise, which just about disappeared at 11pm and a few pub goers on a Friday and Saturday night, made for a few curses under my breath at 1am. The police collecting the pub goers at 2am, was startling, but no more so than my 5:30 am alarm. The blinds do not block out the street lights very well and if you are a late sleeper, sunlight might be a problem. Eye covers might be worth having. Access is not intuitive, but Steve does send an email explaining clearly how to enter the building, however, I didn't have data so didn't receive the email and was stranded until I was able to get a sim card and receive the email. I did address this with him, as those of us coming from outside of the country may be dataless, until we get sorted. It does help that there is a phone shop directly across the street. I had a good quiet stay and I'd definitely stay there again, in exactly the same room. I had stayed a few months ago in the (established Hotel chain, name withheld to protect the guilty) and was placed in a dungeon, with a view of the car park, I won't be going back there. Opal bank is not the Marriott, but all in all, value for money in a very central location.

Location was great for the town centre and the room was comfortable and clean. Bed was hard, but I slept very well and was happy with the facilities generally. Check-in was easy and the host responded quickly.

The kitchen was a bit grubby, and I had to clean the cutlery before using. The room needs a bit of an update - wallpaper falling off and some scuffs and marks. Not the Ritz, but I’d stay again.

Good value for money and close to town centre. Facilities are basic but clean and comfortable. No meals are provided but guests have access to a kitchen/diner to prepare their own food. There is no reception desk, but guests are given access codes by email.

Simple for what I needed (a bed) after an evening event. Didn't use any facilities outside the room so cannot comment on the shared kitchen area etc. Clean and relatively cheap.

The location was immediate with Crewe town centre, and a half a mile from the railway station, which was fine, as i saw neither taxis no buses in the deeply depressed area of town. I paid under £40 a night, which was perfectly all right for accommodation very like a Universty hall of residence(and hence familiar to me). Also the small family run Polish restaurant right next door is excellent

The depressing nature of the area. Everything, even McDonald's has closed. Nothing left except video games, pawnshops, and pubs. I had an important meeting to have, or I should not have been there. Daytime, local people are very friendly. In the evening, those roaming are mainly the lost, drunk, and lonesome

Very well appointed bathroom, 4' bed, good quality bed linen, kitchen facilities

room ready for decorating, sink tap lose and slightly grubby around lower shower tiles and doors

Location and fully fulfilled my short stay needs. Free on street parking close by.

Overall in very good order. Room carpet stained in places. Pillows could do with upgrading. Room chair was in need of replacement.
