Every staff person we met (at front desk and in bar and restaurant), was friendly, professional, service-oriented and competent. We had a pleasant stay.

I just don't see the value for money. We were given a free upgrade to a suite upon arrival, which seemed fun, but it was just a small sitting room, an overcrowded bedroom and a marble-clad, oversized (but not comfortable or well designed) bathroom. Overall nice, but not better than other good hotels at one-third the price. The mattress was overly soft, we heard city noises like a garbage truck beeping, we heard hotel noises (eg. finally figured out someone was playing with the automatic drapes in a nearby room - sounded like it was in ours), and there were so many electronic glowing devices in the room, from elaborate (confusing!) dimmer light switches to a tablet on the nightstand, that the room was not at all dark.

housekeeping did not maintain noir room properly and reception double guaranteed us.

The room was well appointed, and a great size. The staff was excellent. Super helpful and accommodating went out of their way to help.
