We truly loved your VRBO!

This was my first time using VRBO. I’ve traveled widely across the world and my stay at Casa Jirafa was in the top 1% of vacation rental experiences. The casita is absolutely beautiful, and looks even better than depicted in pictures, with high ceilings, a cute plunge pool, excellent air conditioning, and little artistic touches here and there. The property is conveniently located within a block of three restaurants serving solid Yucatán food (though check out the nearby markets, Taqueria La Lupita and Wayan’e for the REALLY good stuff) and there’s an awesome gelateria across the street. Loved it so much I’m planning on returning next year!

There is so much to say about Casa Jirafa! The home itself is absolutely beautiful and authentic to the local culture. The pool was such a fun bonus, especially after a long day in the Yucatán heat. The location is perfect for visiting all the must-see locations and everything is within a 10 minute walk, with plenty of restaurants, cantinas, and shopping along the way. But what truly places Casa Jirafa above and beyond any place we have ever stayed are the hosts. They answered every single question leading up to, during and after our stay, promptly and diligently. Their guidebook to Mérida is simply amazing, and they even provided more local favorites (less touristy) per our request. They secured an amazing driver from Mérida to Cancun for us, and even arranged last minute changes to the itinerary for stops at Chichen Itza and Cenote Ikkil. We prefer home rentals when traveling and for the most part have always had great experiences, but the hosts of Casa Jirafa are truly the most amazing and attentive we have ever encountered. Would absolutely recommend and consider again if we return.

Beautiful property in a great location. Loved the dipping pool— much needed on the extremely hot days. The air didn’t work downstairs on our arrival. They worked hard to get it installed within two days and really worked to make it up to us. Very responsive to messages and the guidebook they have is fantastic.

The casa Jerifa is the best option to stay in Merida. It’s in the center of the city, barely mins away from all good places. We had welcome beers, which was a nice tough. The management is very responsive and attentive to detail. You can hear the birds chirping in morning which is amazing. Even though it was very hot outside, the casa is cool inside :)

This property is a lovely oasis in Centro Merida. It is exactly as advertised. The staff overseeing the property were very helpful and available to assist if needed. The pool was so nice to cool off after a long day of sightseeing. We loved our stay.

My husband and I stayed in Casa Jirafa for one week and it was an absolute dream! Becca and Beto were so communicative and responsive to all our messages. The house had everything we could possibly need and everyone on staff was a pleasure to work with. The house is located in central Merida and walking distance to so many great bars, restaurants, live music and shopping. Becca also helped us connect with a car rental company and it was a simple and flawless procedure. We will definitely be staying here again!

The location was amazing right by Santa Lucia. Owner Michael Cummings & Beto Ortez , customer service manager were outstanding hosts, helped us out a number of times & treated us like family. Their recommendations were fantastic. The property was gorgeous. I would highly recommend Burro y Flauta but better book early since Casa Jirafa is very popular.

Stayed at Casa Jirafa, a loft apartment beautifully decorated, steps away from historic district, easy access to wonderful restaurants, shops, markets, sites. Also the company provides concierge services that organized day excursions for us that were outstanding. Highly recommend. Cheryl

Cannot say enough about our experience at Casa Jirafa!! The house itself is amazing, both in it's condition, it's beauty (the pool is every bit as beautiful as it looks in the pictures) and it's location in the city. But what was really awesome was talking with Becca and Beto, and using a local perspective to plan our stay. We had never been outside a resort in Mexico before.. From our questions before the trip to all the arrangements that Becca and Beto helped us with once we arrived, these guys are really great. Beto was THE best, super cool, super helpful with suggestions, planning and super knowledgeable. When we were unsure of something he would tell us plainly what was what. It was our first time staying in Vrbo. Beto and owners did a great job in having the place ready as well as having important information of the property. I fell in love with this place just by looking at the pictures, but when I got there, it was even more beautiful. I did not want to leave. Apart from being a gorgeous space, it is well equipped, the location is perfect, and the pool is definitely an added bonus - one of the major highlights of the home. The customer service from both Beto and Becca was just as amazing as the space. I’m definitely staying here during my next trip to Merida. Do yourself a favor and just BOOK IT!

The loft was all we could have hoped for. The location is perfect for exploring Merida with everything close. The space its self was great to relax in after a long day out. It was well taken care of and comfy, clean, and convenient.

We absolutely loved our time in Merida—mainly because of our accommodations. Beto went above and beyond in helping us with our luggage, driving us to the apartment and making sure we had a beer stocked in the fridge! The booklet they put together with places to eat/drink/shop/see was all we needed for finding the best places to go. We would hands down stay at any of their rentals again!

This rental was a great location in Merida. Very close to Santa Lucia Park and other major sites in down town. Great indoor pool to dip in after a day in the Yucatán heat.

Casa Jirafa was the perfect getaway for us. We stayed a month and it was great for long or short term. Absolutely everything was thought of ahead and taken care of. We lived in Merida for 2 years and know the challenges of living in the tropics. Every detail was taken care of at Casa Jirafa. Location could not be better for ease of walking to parks, restuarants etc. The property manager, Beto , was simply amazing. Any questions, Beto was prompt to reply and assist if necessary. We have stayed many places and without a doubt, Casa Jirafa stands out as the best. We plan to use Burro y Flauta whenever we are back in Merida and we can not recommend them highly enough

Just returned from a 10 day visit to Merida, and stayed at Casa Jirafa. Can’t begin to say what a awesome property this is. It is in the heart of the Centre of Old Merida. Within walking distance to everything, from fruit markets, grocery stores, restaurants, travel agencies, bus stops. Place was so well equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans, dish soap, salt and pepper, coffee. Becca, & Beta were super helpful, and always available if we needed anything or had any questions. Would highly recommend this property and a visit to beautiful historic Merida. Thank you Casa Jirafa for making our visit such a memorable one!

This place was so perfect for exploring Central Merida. We were able to walk to restaurants, and any other activities you can think of. We would most certainly stay here again when we come back to Merida. Check in was super smooth, they were ready to assist us at a moment's notice, and check out went equally smooth. Big thanks to Mike and Beto for helping to make our experience perfect.

Besides the location the house was comfortable and clean! The hosts were great too.

Casa Jarifa was beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean. Had a few minor issues, but they were quickly resolved! The location was incredible. Less than a 5 minute walk to wonderful Santa Lucia square and 15 minutes or less to all the other great plazas. Oh and not to mention a great gelato place right across the street! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Mérida. :)

Loved Casa Jirafa its perfect for a couple or a single person. It's close to everything you walk out of the door and you are in the heart of Merida's downtown centro..... Make sure you walk across the street enjoy Pola ice cream best in Merida :-) will book again for my company! Mike was awesome couldn't ask for a better experience.

In the heart of Merida very close to everything with a fantastic & friendly staff. The casa is a beautifully decorated colonial architecture home with all necessary items for a comfortable vacation stay -will stay there again in our future trips to Merida.
