The house was perfect for our family of 3 kids plus my brother in law and his two kids. The screened in porch was ideal and we could walk to the beach without having to pack our whole lives to do it! Dauphin Island has waves or calm beaches, wooded walking trails, and an aquarium, which were all wonderful.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The property is well-cared-for and is a very convenient walk from the beach. The kitchen was truly well-equipped. We cook all our meals while on vacation due to some severe food allergies. Everything we needed and more was available at the property. We were so pleased. ~~~~~ This was my first time ever staying in a home up on pylons. Two in our group got motion sickness from the movement of the house during a storm. I would absolutely stay here again. The movement was very slight and we always felt safe. The property was excellent. It just didn’t occur to me that could happen and I will add Dramamine or Bonine to my packing list for next time.

The only issue we had was more steps than expected. Very difficult for older person. Also pad lock battery died and we had coordinate outings with only one key as manager wasnt able to correct lock the last two days we were there.

Our family had a great time on our trip! David was very helpful and attentive with any need or questions we had. We had plenty of space and anything we needed at our disposal!!

We really enjoyed our stay and plan to rent the property again. We were 3 couples (related) with 3 kids between us. There was a bedroom for each couple and the kids loved the bunk room. The bedrooms are private. One is smaller than the others with limited storage. The bedrooms are not suites but share a 'Jack and Jill' style bathroom between the bedrooms with sliding doors. We rented a golf cart and never drove our car once on the island. Pros: 5 min from boat launch to house by boat Beach access is 100 feet away and you can see both the beach and the bay from the house. Well stocked kitchen/house--games, beach toys, chairs, grill....everything you would put in a beach home you own Great screened porch con: Really just the shared bathrooms if you are not close with the other occupants. The bathrooms are only accessible from the bedrooms.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house had great views of the water on both sides and the walking distance to the beach was great! My favorite part about this house though was the screened in back porch. It was very cozy and relaxing.

The house was nice and it was clean. You could see the canal from the sunroom and you could walk across the street to the beach. My only complaint was the bathroom doors. They are pocket doors that have a hook to latch them with and they did not shut/latch well. There are 2 bedrooms on each side of the house with a shared bathroom in the middle. There is 22 steps to get into the house which most houses are on stilts so you will have steps anywhere. Underneath the house was nice and cool with the breeze and kids were able to play in the sand under the house which was also nice. You could walk to the beach and see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed our stay

Host checked on us to make sure check in went smoothly. He assured us he was just a call away if needed. He checked on us after a really strong storm. Several thoughtful touches throughout the home. Library, board and card games, crab traps, fishing poles, beach towels, chairs and cart, well equipped kitchen, fans in rooms for those of us that run a little warmer. Also dog friendly! Just a few steps to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Our host was very thoughtful. He contacted us at check in to make sure everything went smoothly. We had a pretty rough storm. David checked in again to make sure everyone was doing well. Property was exactly as described. Closer to the beach than we thought. 2 minutes max walk. Beach cart, chairs, charcoal grill, fish cleaning station and crab traps were nice touches as well. It was good for use

This house was a great choice for our group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids). Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking meals. Having a Washer/dryer there was so helpful for washing towels and kids’ clothes. Large screened in porch with lovely view of canal and bay. Pleasantly surprised to find fishing poles, crab traps, beach wagon, beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, beach towels! Didnt use the charcoal grill this time but nice to have one there. Easy walk to public beach, maybe 5 min! Enjoyed eating dinner at Islander’s and Pirate’s bar and grill. Also enjoyed the aquarium on a rainy day. Dauphin Island has a very nice, calm feel to it and this house had everything we needed to enjoy some relaxing family time. Our group was fishing from sun up to late night. The kids caught several little fish each and we even reeled in one massive redfish! The owners were very responsive and helpful! They stocked the house with enough essentials to get you through 2-3 days. I would recommend if you’re staying longer than that to bring extra kitchen trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, clothes detergent and also bring plastic plates and bowls for kids. They have lots of nice plastic cups! We’re already trying to plan our next stay.

My extended family had a reunion and we rented three houses on the same street. This house has a lot of room and is open underneath completely. Giving us room to sit and hangout at night as well as large screened porch for playing cards. The house is older but with appropriate updates. The host was great about communicating with us and relaying the necessary information.

We had a wonderful time!! The location is prefect! We really enjoyed the large back porch!! Will definitely stay here next time we come to Dauphin Island!

We just left from a fantastic week here in Dauphin Island. Home was a short walk to the beach and had everything we needed. The owner was easy to contact with any questions and even provided us with a wagon and beach chairs which was perfect! We are already planning our next trip here. Thanks for a great stay.

My family and I were going on a cruise and we canceled it. So this was a vacation instead of the cruise nowhere near the same but... it was a really nice vacation we enjoyed it much. Communication with the owner was above and beyond. There are few things that need to be updated but all in all it was a really good stay!

We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh paint and calming beach theme as the photos did not reflect the updates (the home now features a bright blue exterior as well). The home is a very short walk from the beach. We loved being able to pull our boat right up to the home and tie it up to avoid having to launch daily. Though we didn't use the crab traps or fishing poles, I thought it was a very nice touch. The home had everything we needed to enjoy an extended weekend. Wouldn't hesitate to book this property again. The key pick up and drop off was painless. Thank you very much.

My family loved this house, there was plenty of room for all of us and very cool deck, great access to the beach!

I was pleasantly surprised by this sweet little house, we had ample room to move around and hang out. It accommodated our group of 11 with ease. The location was awesome! Less than five minute walk from the beach and still close to the restaurants and few shops on the island. The homeowners came by to let us know they had baited the crab traps in the canal for us and this was an endless source of entertainment for the five little boys we had running around. My husband caught a roughly 35 pound drum in the canal at the back of the house and greatly enjoyed being able to walk outside and fish. The only negative thing I can say about the house in general is that the second shower is small, like really small. None of the adults used it. Otherwise the beds were comfy with fresh linens, the house was clean and we really enjoyed our stay!

The location was perfect for our bunch, the fishing and close walk to the beach.The house it self needs a good cleaning, mice dropping in the cabinets, we had to wash the sheets and every dish before we used them. All this cute little house needs is some tender loving care and a really good cleaning.

House was dirty, linens were filthy and house smelled. Family had to wash all linnens so they could be used, I bought cleaner and febreeze and we dusted, cleaned and sprayed furniture with febreeze. Local contact had to come down and clean carpets from stains and pet urine

We would have enjoyed the back screened porch if weather had been fair. Overall this house is old and worn. Dock was easily accessible and that is what caused us to rent this one.

The home was very nice just needs some updates. A fresh coat of paint would be nice. The shower on the bunk bed side could be a little bigger.

While the house could use some TLC we found it to be a great place with some great perks. The owners gave a discount for our 2 fire fighters and veteran, they also gave us a wonderful gift certificate to the Lighthouse Bakery for some delicious pastries as well as provided parking passes to the beach. Although it is a very short walk to the beach, being able to take a vehicle for easy transport of all the beach ‘toys’ was great. Another great perk was the amount of bath towels provided. You can imagine how many towels a family of 10 (6 of them females) need! It would be nice if the Island provided more evening activities for the younger group as they did get a little bored after a couple of nights of playing board games and watching movies. Overall we had a great time and it was a wonderful family vacation and great experience for those experiencing the beach for the first time.

Great property, very well equipped kitchen. Had fun with the crab and fish traps! Loved the screened in porch and the shade.

Had. Great time. Lots of steps up to it. Small bathrooms. But had everything we needed and short distances to beaches and food. Would deffinatly consider this home again.
