We stayed in this property the first week of January and couldn't have been happier with our stay. There was communication with the property managers before our stay letting us know of favorite activities and restaurants we should try. The property itself is wonderful! It's a short walk to the beach, close to a walking/cycling path to the shops and restaurants and very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

We had 5 adults and 1 toddler. The house was a great fit. Easy access to the beach and the pool. And a great view to wake up to. Very peaceful and relaxing. The top open air deck was amazing at night for star gazing! The kitchen was very well stocked for all your cooking needs. We even had a seafood boil one night. Also, we had a couple of repair issues that were attended to very promptly. Carey Crosby with the Management co. was super helpful before and during our stay. Thanks for a great stay.

Our stay in St. Simons was wonderful. With older children we loved the master bedroom that was separated from the first floor bedrooms by the 2nd floor kitchen and family room. Location was convenient to the beach and pool as well as to the many wonderful restaurants in the area. The home had sufficient kitchen supplies and the size was more than ample for a family of 5. We would most definately return in the future!

There are basically 2 master bedrooms with a large main level. The ice maker in the wet bar was so helpful to have when filling up coolers. Would stay here again!

Great property. Beautiful location with ocean view and steps from the beach. Nicely decorated and lots of outdoor patio options.

As advertised it is a very nice property and location. Lots of outdoor seating options and very light inside on all levels. Photos are accurate. So the problem.... The house is very wired as mentioned in the listing which is great.They have left pretty detailed instructions on operating each of the things throughout the house and I'm in software so fine. That's all great...unless Internet goes down or worse. In our case for the first 24 hours there was basically no electricity on the main floor front side of the house, where the Internet is located. It did appear this was more due to not regularly maintaining the wiring than a 1 time event as the wires had gone bad according to electrician and the box did seem pretty old. So upon moving in we spent hr or so trying to get television to come on. The wifi was working but a few other items didn't seem to be. I've since learned the elec was operating at a very low % when we got there so the dimmed lights and fact that we couldnt seem to get tv or music were because there wasn't enough electric juice and not because we weren't following the instructions. Next morning the electricity was completely out in that part of the house. No wifi means no (tv, music, Internet), water machine out and lights. One of our guests had work that morning and had tested wifi night before with full computer setup. Now that it was out she had to scurry to find library (closed) then Starbucks down street to spend the morning with a tablet to try to work. Maintenance came quickly who had to call outside electricians who also came within 2 hrs and got elec back up, maybe, by 1pm. BUT the big missing piece was this going out was like removing a car battery. Eveything gets reset. Elec strips were off, tv was looking for a wired connection, music system off, etc. They don't have inst for reconfiguring all of that and dont want us messing with the wires, which makes TOTAL sense given the complexity so someone needed to reset all of that. We didn't know it was all not working till got home that night after 9pm and not a 24 hr emer so not calling that plus they wouldn't have known either. Only there 3 nights so next day wasn't worth it. So aside from wifi we didn't get to use music, tv in any of the rooms at all during stay. Lights did dim again so may not be fully fixed. That and someone had dogs at one point and the landscapers arent cleaning out back so I had a lot of surprises to clean up when went to use the bbq out back

The Property was fantastic and met all of out expectations. It was an excellent location, we were able to go to the beach at least 2x a day, which may have spoiled our 3 year old. The kitchen was wonderful, it had everything that we needed and a few things we didn't know we did, the water filter machine was a smart and often used addition.

The house was perfect in every way. It had everything, and more, to make for a perfect beach getaway. The views and the convenience to the water were amazing. We will be back!

Great location and service

I booked a last second weekend trip at this property with my family. I have stayed at many similar homes up and down St. Simon over the past few years. Overall, it is difficult to beat the location of this home - it is steps away from a heated pool and the beach. It is clean, has a large kitchen, nice outdoor decks, and is overall a nice house. I would book it again. For the most part, the pictures tell the right story, but the main floor is much tighter than it looks - the furniture is big and the three spaces (kitchen, den, dining) are right on-top of each other. We only had a party of four, so it wasn't tight, but it could be with bigger parties. Overall, this is a 2000 re-model and it shows. The appliances are old and much of the styling feels late 90s / early 2000s with a few obvious recent upgrades (bathroom counters, paint on main floor, etc) I will also say, while I am not sure it matters, this house has a lot of oddities that I can't explain (no half bath on the main floor which means going downstairs to use the restroom, master bedroom separated from master bathroom, really right secondary bathrooms, oddly re-done master bath with walls that don't go to the ceiling, blinds missing on windows that need them, fans not positioned above beds, weird huge closet right in the middle of the master bathroom, anti-slip mats on stairs that don't work, elevator that doesn't appear to work, bunk bed ladder that is not safe, and someone got label-maker happy). Expect to go and up and down the stairs a lot. The views from the upper deck are really great. The views from the 3rd level are nice. The views from the 2nd (main) level are pretty much blocked by palm trees and/or the canopy structure by the pool. Not a huge deal, but at this price, somewhat silly. House includes an echo system connected to the speakers, good Wifi, Hulu on the TVs, washer + dryer, beach towels and chairs. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary cooking utensils. We found extra trash bags and laundry detergent in the cabinets which was nice. All four bedrooms are nice (3 on level 1, 1 on level 3). One bedroom has a bunk bed, one has a queen, and two have a king size bed. You will find temperpedic mattresses on several of the beds. Overall, a nice house with some oddities.

The frig door required waiting minutes before getting it open again the entire trip. Loved the freezer drawers and the two ice makers in the unit. We did miss not having a 1/2 bath on the main floor. Overall the unit was beautiful and designed well. Location was the best! The 24 hour contact was great.

This beach home was just perfect for our family! The boys loves the bunk beds; however they are three and so they both slept on the bottom. We enjoyed doing early morning yoga on the very top porch and used the porch swing on the top level to get our baby girl to sleep each evening. Having access to the wagon, shovels and nets was so very helpful with three young ones. This cottage is a stone’s throw from The pool which made it nice when getting everyone and everything ready for the walk to the beach. The pool was clean and just the right size. September is just the perfect time of year to be at the beach. We thought this beach cottage was just perfect for our family. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent it for our family get away!

Family friendly beach house with easy access to beach and pools. Parking for 2 cars right in front. Despite 3 levels of living space, the european style elevator makes access to all living space easy even for those with difficulty climbing stairs. Only drawback is no bathroom on main level, but there are 3 full baths in house. Very well maintained and clean. Nice for special events or a family gathering.

Loved the location easy to get to beach. Beautiful view from master bedroom oasis. Bedrooms on lower level were small. Very tight to put crib in bedroom downstairs. fans were rickety very squeaky lower level need replacements. Space on middle level comfortable, well appointed. Enjoyed the water, ice and coffee machines. I want a coffee system like theirs. Patrick very nice and responsive to my inquiries. Lower level could have been cooler. All in all is worked for us will return. Enjoyed our stay.

I held my annual family vacation at Seagate Cottage. Every year I pick a different spot in the country and this year landed in St. Simons. Great cottage that had plenty of room for when we were together and still gave your space for quite time. Nice rooftop deck to enjoy the 4th fireworks and catch a great breeze at night. Great location next to the pool and beach. We did not know what to expect and were very pleased that the little things you need for the beach were available in the house (beach chairs, towels, kids toys, a cooler with wheels, umbrella, etc). Even used the gas grill for steaks. Washer, dryer, and elevator are available. If you need a family get-a-way place I recommend Seagate Cottage.

We did a last minute trip to St. Simons after our original plans abroad fell through...and we were so pleased with the house! The views are amazing (no house is blocking your view) and there are so many nooks and crannies to spend some time alone enjoying a book or just the scenery. The pools are at your doorstep and were very well maintained (wish they had some umbrellas though as they are completely exposed.) The house is extremely comfortable (great beds!) and welcoming. We enjoyed doing puzzles, walking the beach, and just spending time as a family. The entire street is filled with adorable cottages that were all built about 20 years ago, so although we loved the house there are some areas that showed their age a bit. Example, new granite counters and range top in kitchen, but original cabinets, older dishwasher, etc. It did not detract from our experience though... A special shout out to Patrick, who was so responsive to any questions we had, and fixed a minor maintenance issue the same day! We will definitely get in touch with you when we return to SSI, Patrick. Thanks for being so professional and helpful!

We were two families sharing and loved this house! It has a roof terrace facing the sea, two sea facing balconies a great master and lovely light kitchen/living space. It is next to the pools and the beach and an easy walk to town. The street it is on is beautiful too. The management company are super helpful, there were tonnes of beach towels to use and the whole house was clearly marked with instructions on how to use everything. Highly recommend.

We spent a week at Seagate Cottage with six adults and two children (ages five and nine) and already we cannot wait to go back! All of our expectations for the house and its location were exceeded. Seagate is in excellent condition but doesn't feel overly fussy or pristine; the decor is just right for the beachy setting, and we felt very much at ease in the space, making full use of the kitchen and getting comfortable in the living room. The house had everything we needed, from fluffy beach towels to cooking implements. The single, very minor issue we brought to the manager's attention (a broken cabinet hinge) was fixed immediately. Patrick and his maintenance team were easily reachable and immediately responsive throughout our stay, whenever we had questions. Thoughtful touches in the house also included a stack of local restaurant menus and many recommendations for activities -- although with the pool just a few steps away and the beach a stone's throw beyond that, we didn't need much more to do! The pools are very well-maintained and even though there were lots of people staying in the Coastal Cottages, the pool area rarely felt crowded. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the Cottages are well-located close to running/biking paths, the Lighthouse, and town. Seagate is as close as you can get to the beach and pool, yet it was very quiet and private. We loved all of the balconies, the views, and the roof deck. The master suite on the top floor is especially notable, like something out of a magazine. We hope to be back sometime soon!
