Really nice place and a beautiful view to the river at a very special location. The staff is very nice and helpful. When driving to the location it's better to use road M581. The shortest path from N108 is really steep and narrow.

Nothing I did not like, but you need to be aware that there is no restaurant for dinner or lunch at the facility. We ordered in one night which was ok. The second we bought groceries and cooked in, much better :-)

Casas de Pousadouro is amazing and a unique find for a relaxing break, just a few hours outside of Porto. It is located on the banks of the River Douro in a beautiful gardens full of fruit trees and birds. Each little house/apartment has its own outdoor seating area for guests to relax and have their meals. Stunning views from inside and outside each apartment. There are lots of hidden spots by the riverbank under shady trees to relax on cushions or beanbags and take in scenery. While I was reading a little otter came by, as did many birds. Free kayaks and paddle boards to explore the river too! Juliana and the team at Casas de Pousadouro were so kind and welcoming and very helpful making us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious and so was the free minibar, full of delicious wines, beers and produce from the local area. Short walk or drive to a train station that gets you to the heart of the Douro vineyards - perfect for a day trip! Loved it! Would love to come back!

Driving in the Douro area is a bit stressful - narrow, windy roads with hairpin bends …! But it is worth it in the end. The house was stylish but could do with a bit of a refresh - especially the kitchenette (there was just a small fridge and 2 electric hobs and a microwave). Since the property is quite remote, it would have been great to have more cooking facilities (eg an oven and a bbq) as it’s a bit tricky to travel to restaurants. The beds were not the most comfortable but fine for a few nights.

Stunning apartment with all facilities that You May ever need, amazing surroundings, superkind staff, everything was marvellous. I wish we will visit this place again. Highly recommended!

What can i say, there is nothing not to like about Casas de Pousadouro! It set is such a beautiful location, with river views from every room. The grounds, pool & room were immaculate & we were so well looked after by Filipa & all at Casas de Pousadouro. Breakfast each morning was delivered to our room with homemade chocolate cake one morning! Highly recommend! And whilst perfect for us as a couple, it would be great place to stay as a group &/ family. Dining options are not immediately close by but the team have even considered this with a list of recommended restaurants, including directions & offers to make reservations. And some of the restaurants will even deliver 2/3 course dinner to the property which was 10/10 for us on the evening we chose to dine in!

The location is fantastic, calm and relaxing. The staff are brilliant and the house has stunning views with big glass windows in the front.
