Cute and cosy cottage with everything you need for a weekend getaway

We took our family for a winter getaway, had a wonderful time in this historic cottage: wood heater, backyard and cubby for kids, close to delightful historic village. Welcome pack from our hosts was a bonus surprise, five stars!

Property was excellent in all areas that mattered to us as seniors. Clean comfort facilities and appliances accessible and access to management when necessary. The township and people were lovely, freely sharing information and knowledge. Weather on this occasion was perfect. Our only criticism is really one for council and authorities to improve. We found general road signage to be less than satisfactory when trying to follow maps and attractions brochures. Attractions need a lot more follow up signs from initial start points. Many street names are missing. In our opinion for Maldon to become a traveler preferred destination maps and signs require significant work. As we do not feel we are stupid, we must attribute difficulty with navigation in and around Maldon an important issue to be addressed. We stayed here last year and again recently. Its clean, quiet and its great for dogs, the property is secure and well maintained. Inside is charming and welcoming, its clean with plenty of pretty much everything that is required. Good coffee at all the coffee stops in Maldon.

The cottage is immaculately presented and no detail has been forgotten. It is without doubt the nicest location and accomodation we have ever stayed at. It is small enough to feel cozy and comfortable while offering enough space for a small family. The little personal touches really made a difference and an added bonus that we could take our little dog. Overall a wonderful stay with such friendly and helpful managers. Looking forward to going back again one day soon.

Peaceful cottage with all the comforts of home provided a stay of complete contentment. Township was in walking distance, handy for dog walks, connecting with people and appreciating the historical houses along the way. Totally recommend this 'cute cottage (Elise's Cottage) for getaway with pets, family and friends. Came with a smile, left with an even greater smile. You just fall in love with the place the moment you open the door.

A lovely old cottage in a quiet location, but within walking distance to the centre of town. The cottage was comfortable and cosy with excellent heating/cooling. Everything was clean and tidy with all necessities provided for a great stay. Wine and chocolate on arrival was much appreciated. A great base from which to explore historic Maldon. Had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

The cottage felt old world yet wonderfully bright and clean. It had everything that you need for a long weekend like we had, or a an extended stay. We had our two border collies with us who enjoyed the ample backyard. Lots to do around the area and many walking tracks near by. We will be back.

We were up for the Maldon Twilight Dinner. It was a fantastic evening and highly recommend. A clean, comfortable cottage. My biggest requirement was a fully fenced area for my Jack Russell. The backyard was totally fenced. I just blocked off a small entrance behind the shed to save Pixie from getting stuck. Hosts were happy to have Pixie inside and on the couch. I always travel with a throw to protect furniture but it was lovely to know we had that freedom.

Amazing home. Very welcoming and clean. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. Didn’t know how we were to get in until we arrived though.

This property is gorgeous. Very comfortable, with clean rooms and a well stocked kitchen, with goodies left by the owners. Fabulous yard for our dog. We enjoyed our weekend away very much and will definitely go again.

Beautiful little cottage

I wa warmly welcomed with a set fire, a bottle of wine and a block of chocolate! The house was very clean and well equipped. It has a homey, comfortable feeling and is in a quiet street in the quiet, pretty town of Maldon. There is a large fully fenced yard which was perfect for my dog who was travelling with me. I hope to stay again.

We felt comfortable and relaxed the moment we walked through the door. The property was secure for our dog and good walks. There is a lot to explore in the area.

The cottage was cosy and warm with super comfortable beds. Jean supplied lots of extras to make our families stay enjoyable. Treats for the adults and a great backyard to keep the little ones happy. Lunch was enjoyed in the sunny backyard and it was a pleasant walk down the street. Our family are really looking forward to their next stay. Thankyou Jean.

Exactly as advertised, maybe better. A great house, generous hosts with treats thrown in, beautiful heritage place in the heart of the goldfields. Original features with modern upgrades. We'd stay again.

We loved our cottage stay! The house was clean, comfy and cozy, with lots of heaters and extra blankets. Really appreciated the special touches like the treats we discovered upon our arrival. Will definitely be back with the family and pooches.

We had a great time at the cottage. The children loved the garden and cubby - as well as all the indoors game in the chillier mornings.

Sadly Maldon music fest didn’t go ahead this year but we still decided to visit Maldon & I booked the cottage over 1 year ago. The wine & chocolate on arrival was a welcoming touch after an extra long public transport trip from Glg due to storms. The cottage had everything one needed with wonderful gardens at front & back! The beds were comfortable to sleep in & full kitchen was fantastic!

Such a cute little cottage. It was the perfect place for me and my children to stay with plenty of space. The fire was perfect for the night and the location was so peaceful.

Loved the miners cottage! Very cosy with open fire, everything we needed. Good communication with owners and nice welcoming gift of wine and chocolate! Will return.

The hosts communication was excellent. Booking and check in was a breeze. Everything had been thought of. The yard was perfect for our bulldog. Can highly recommend this lovely house. We were very relaxed and stress free. Would definitely stay again.
