Great period home with magnificent antique furniture and items of decor. Amanda and Andrew are very welcoming hosts, friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast basket was well above our expectations: we were amazed by the abundance, freshness and variety of its contents; we could not eat it all, but what we had was delicious and so well presented. Palm House location - in walking distance of the centre of Maldon and with easy drives to Castlemaine and Bendigo - is hard to beat. We also greatly enjoyed sitting on the verandah admiring the lush garden below, as well as wandering through it. Although the property is on the main road through Maldon, it was very quiet at night, so no problem with sleeping.
The shower cubicle in our bathroom was rather small. Not much elbow room in there! It is however a minor point given all the other wonderful attributes of the property and its owners.

We had a delightful stay at Palm House. Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome .The house itself is a stunning heritage building with a beautiful garden.
We were provided with a lovely breakfast. Everything was perfect.

Could not fault any aspect of this memorable stay at Palm House. Personable hosts who thoughtfully prepare the accommodation, and breakfast provisions exceeded expectations with freshly made baked goods, local condiments and a bunch of flowers and herbs from the garden.

Breakfast was plentiful and attention to detail was exceptional. Close to shops and perfect for push bike riding. Amanda was a wonderful, warm and welcoming host. Will certainly be returning.

A beautiful house and garden, with the most genial hosts. The breakfast basket was overflowing with goodies, including fresh herbs from the garden and local produce. A short break in Maldon was refreshing and relaxing, and we hope to revisit this charming spot soon.
A shame that the spa was out of action, but it didn't spoil our stay.

Palm house is beautiful it has style and comfort. The gardens are stunning. Ours hosts Andrew & Amanda were amazing,friendly and Cheerful. Loved the breakfast. Excellent Highly recommended a Fantastic place to stay.

Gorgeous old building with tastefully decorated bedrooms and living area. The garden was a delight to walk around and sit in. I was able to use some of the fresh produce from the garden in my breakfast.
The door from my room out to the verandah isn't functioning properly so I couldn't use it. Would have been nice to have direct access to outside.

The location was perfect with only a very short walk into the main street of Maldon.
Amazing period-set decor that made us feel like we were stepping back into the 1800s.

Outstanding house. Very helpful hosts.
The only small matter - my wife loves fresh air. We use an air purifier at times and she loves to have windows open to get fresh air.

Breakfast, Great Location - walking distance to shops and meals, friendliness and building - interesting Victorian building with appropriate furnishings.
Great that wifi is included rather than being an extra.
Bedroom could have been cleaner - bit dusty in places and some surfaces needed a good wipe
