We needed to supply food for our breakfast - There are a number of places in Akaroa where you could buy breakfast or and provisions. It was a cold night when we arrive but the heating by way of heater and heat pump were adequate once the property warmed up The property was recently updated and is good condition. It was very comfortable. It was located on a hill in an enclave of a few similar properties.

The property was a little distance from the town of Akaroa. I would suggest that the name was displayed on the roadside rather than just Cottages.

We had stayed there a few years prior, it was better then.

No non stick frypan, no scourer to clean the one there, only supplied with 1 dishwasher tablet - are they really that expensive ?? Arrived late arvo, heating was not on so rooms were very cold, the property has a lovely view, but sitting there the windows were dirty. No small table or eating area to eat inside.

This place was situated in a wonderful position with exceptional views of the harbour from the lounge and outside the property. We travelled the South Island for 3 weeks and this property was the very best accommodation we experienced. We only stayed 2 nights but would like to go back there for a longer relaxing stay.

This property was excellent in all areas. Could not be faulted in our opinion.

Accommodation had the wow factor. Gorgeous view. All the amenities you could need. Modern clean peaceful. Not far from all the Akaroa provides

Beautiful view from the patio of the bay. Easy path to the beach. Perfect for our stay.

Beautiful location, lovely cottage, stunning views. Couldn’t stop taking photos of the views that would change with the light from hour to hour - especially lovely at sunset.

Some road noise, but not that noticeable at night due to the cicadas (which provided excellent white noise and drowned out any other noises). Not used to having no fly screens, which is apparently normal in NZ. Prefer to sleep with the windows open, but unable to due to flying bugs coming in.

Beautiful view. Comfy. Wonderful place to relax day or night. Very convenient for Akaroa.

We would have liked to use the Bbq but it looked dirty and there weren’t any tools to clean it. We felt it should have been cleaned before we arrived.

Beautifully furnished, comfortable and with commanding views of the harbour, this property exceeded our expectations. It sits on grounds with other cottages but privacy is guaranteed. Only 2mn drive out of Akaroa.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in an amazing location with incredible views. Had everything we needed in the cottage. The gardens were spectacular, there was a separate laundry on the grounds which was very handy. The location was a very short drive drive into town which we absolutely loved. I definitely want to return to Akaroa one day
