Overall our stay was very nice! It was a quiet and peaceful setting surrounded by nature. It was located in a great part of Chincoteague...Easy to get to the beach and restaurants. There were a few inconveniences that, if remedied, would make it an excellent place to stay. We were told that there was no grill, so we stopped and bought one on the way, only to arrive and find a permanent grill on a stand in the ground. We enjoy cooking and eating in, rather than going out, and it was difficult to grill without any grill tools or a grill cleaner. Also, serving plates and bowls were lacking. The house is advertised as sleeping six, and it would’ve been nice to have six comfortable chairs to sit on in the living room. The screened in porch was a lovely, and we spent all our time there, and it would be nice to have comfortable chairs and side tables to enjoy the view, rather than just the one dining table. Another inconvenience was having no hooks or towel racks near the sink or shower; also, no mirrors in any of the bedrooms. These are essential, and an easy fix.

Really could not have asked for a better place to get away from city life, spend time with family, and create new memories. We particularly loved the view of the march from the patio which was a very unique feature from other places we have stayed. Thank you for having us.

The house is large, convenient and clean. It's a nearly new house so everything is in great shape. The add noted water access which is the only inaccuracy - there is no access to the water. However, it's a wonderful place for a family to stay.

Location was phenomenal. We have stayed at a number of locations on the island and this by far has been our favorite. The layout is open and family friendly. There were puzzles and dinnerware for our young children (3&4). The views are wonderful. We also found the property to be thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is very nice, exactly as listed and was very clean. Lovely screened in back porch. No issues with anything - check-in was easy (through Hospitality app), check-out easy, the home was nicely decorated. We stayed at a different rental last year and it looked like it was furnished with things people wanted to get rid of, but most everything at this house looks like it was purchased for the property. The location of this rental is towards the end of a dead-end road, so it’s very quiet with very little traffic. We greatly enjoyed our stay here, and may rent again on our next trip to Chincoteague.

This house is lovely, comfortable, nicely equipped, and convenient to Assateague Island, but we could hardly tear ourselves away from the screen porch, where herons, egrets and great horned owls were on display. A beautiful, relaxing weekend; bring your binoculars.

Lovely week staying here. The back porch is wonderful, overlooking a marsh with birds and deer. Very peaceful. The house was bigger than expected. Very spacious and clean. Wonderful large pantry and lots of kitchen supplies. Things to improve: The middle bedroom has two single beds that sit on the floor, and no bedspreads. We had no children with us so an adult had to sleep there and was uncomfortable. Dishwasher flies open unless you concentrate on closing it. The water view is de minimus. But the marsh in the back makes up for it. The listing should be clearer about that.

Opened the door into our vacation rental and was super pleased! A very spacious, clean, new and beautifully decorated home. Even better than the photos! It was great to have the Wifi and 3 tvs was a bonus, since it rained one day. We got to see the Ponies swim and parade down the street. That was a lot of fun! The kitchen was very well appointed, but we had so much fun eating out that we didn't really make good use of it, Enjoyed having the screen porch since Chincoteague is notorious for having lots of mosquitos. Saw lots of birds and deer from the porch. Also, had some wonderfully clear nights where we could see the stars, even saw a shooting star. The location is awesome, a quiet neighborhood and also close to Assateague Island. Absolutely loved having linens and towels already at the house. This was a huge plus! Ceiling fans were great to have as well. Possible improvements: Add maybe 1 or 2 lamps in the living room. We played games, Caton mostly, but hard to see at night. Also, beds were a bit too firm for us, but everyone is different on this matter. Overall, loved this house and would absolutely stay here again, hopefully next summer!
