The furniture inside is over-kill with too much stuff packed into tight spaces, ironically the outside furniture is lacking and the house could have used more placed to sit on the deck. If the owners read these reviews please consider removing some of the living room furniture (both downstairs and upstairs) so that people can move more easily around the space.

There is mold growing on the wall behind the couch in the living room and perhaps elsewhere. You need ServPro or someone like that to come in and do mitigation, otherwise I could not recommend it to a friend and will not be using it until this is taken care of. Great location. Rooms are quiet. Quit street. High ceilings. Great kitchen.Also, some windows do not have screens, so could not get cross ventilation in house.Staff is very professional and friendly. I hope the owners will support taking care of the mold problem.

The house could have used more outdoor furniture on the deck and backyard. Also, the access to the water is a narrow path to a sliver of water. Its great for launching kayaks but you can't really hang out there. The area the house is in also does not have sidewalks that connect to downtown so it makes walking pretty difficult. We'd most likely stay again though.

this house could be amazing but simply is not. terribly stocked kitchen. rusted out pots and pans. light fixtures from the 1900's nothing really went together, old stinky throw rugs everywhere. the worst bed on earth to sleep in or even get into and out of. loved the house, not needs some serious updates and serious cleaning. i cleaned the whole house before i left, it looked much better than when i arrived if that says anything. most likely won't book here again.

We had a wonderful time

A very nice property. My friends rented it in 2020 and really liked it. I was not able to going them because of Covid but they so liked the place, I had to rent again. This time I made it. It was worth it. Very nice and quiet part of the island. Loved the natural light in the downstairs bedrooms.’

I loved the house and access to the bay. The decor was a nice change from white and wicker beach theme. We did lose internet for 24 hours which was stressful because I’m taking classes and had some work to turn in. The bill was paid and internet was turned back on in time, so it was good. It was the first time we took the dog on vacation and I think she enjoyed it. Thanks for a great vacation!

We enjoy staying here for the sunset views of the bay and now that we can work remotely its even better. The property is clean and decorated eclectically with various antiques which may not be everyone's taste. If you are a chef you may want to bring along some of your own pans, cookie sheet, and/or spices.

We were happy the house was homey. Water view and sunsets spectacular! Loved the two living areas A few suggestions. Need new frying pans. The Teflon ones were burned and unusable. And many of the cute lamps were not bright enough for reading place was clean except for downstairs shower which needed a better cleaning. We would stay here again

This house has a lot of potential. Plenty of room with way too much furniture! Looked like flea market furniture in most rooms with cheap mattresses about 5 inches thick on beds. Outdoor decks are in need of repair with boards lifting up and doors that don't fit! Safety concern with rail missing and this is HIGH above ground level! Beware parents of toddlers because the panel in place is being held by what looks like a bungee cord and rope!!! There is also mold at floor registers in bathrooms and on walls there. Musty smell lets you know there is an issue with moisture and repair man said this home needs a dehumidifier in garage which is at ground level below living quarters. Harbour Rentals was attentive when called about air conditioner not operating correctly.

When we moved in, it was evident the cleaning crew were not the best and the previous guests were not concerned with leaving the stove, dishware utensils etc put away, and dirty. The coffee maker leaked all over the counter. I purchased a new one. Don't expect to have any decent cookware either. The decking needs to be replaced. Sliding door doesn't lock, used a piece of wood to lock it. We've stayed in much better places on the Island, in the same price range, but there are those sunsets. . .

The 2nd floor suite provides a panoramic view of the water and is truly a great plus for the house. The beds were comfortable and the area, overall, was quiet, since it's near the Northern end of Main St. The kitchen was adequately outfitted with cookware, cutlery, dishes, etc. All the appliances worked The can opener didn't work. I bought a quality new one at the hardware store and the price will be refunded with my deposit. Unfortunately, this house suffers from neglect. A dining room chair was broken. No cushions were provided for the plastic Adirondack chairs or for the plastic "rattan" chairs in the screened in porch, making it uncomfortable to sit on them. The outdoor shower was a mess; my husband cleaned and organized the space, but why should he have to do it? The deck needs to be replaced! Boards are sticking up and one board on the deck is rotted. The railing section at the end of the deck had fallen off. The "fix" was to roped another section of railing to the existing anchor posts. What if a child had disobeyed and leaned on it or played with it? Dangerous! There are sumac trees encroaching on the driveway by the garage door. Why don't the lawn maintenance people see to that? Spartina grass has nearly taken over the access to the water. The owners of the house next door complained that Spartina was to be cut down completely instead of a narrow footpath. I would rate this house 8/10 because of the neglect.

The property was spacious enough for the two of us. We appreciated having 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer and WiFi. However, we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived, a bathroom window with no covering at all, and a screened in porch that was in much need of repair (netting was gone in one area and a door was falling apart). The queen bed upstairs was an antique that had wooden sides that came up to the level of the top of the mattress. I scraped my legs on the wood every time I had to get in and out of the bed. One of the other antique beds (full) was not level and sloped on one side. The other bed (full) had a cheap foam mattress. The house also had a musty/moldy smell. We had to make a quick run to the pharmacy to get some allergy meds for my husband after a day of dealing with the mold. A lot of the furniture was not in great condition (cushions sagged and very uncomfortable on upstairs sofa) or was dated. And it was disappointing that a number of the windows in the main areas had no window coverings at all. We did not feel it was worth the money we paid.

First visit to chincoteague - 1 thing dog lovers need to know is no dogs on beaches anywhere - and as far as visiting the national park beaches not even in your car when you visit ponies at national park,

The home was nice and clean and had a homey feel. We enjoyed the sunsets and family time. One bedroom was rather tight, but we made it work. Loved the open floor plan and spacious kitchen. The rental company is a dream to work with. We're grateful for all involved for sharing their space and talents so we could have quality family time. Though covid set its limits, we had great takeout and never felt unsafe on the island. An air of care and thoughtfulness for everyone's well being made us feel comfortable and stress faded. The property was clean and the kitchen well equipped, except for silverware. Three spoons. Purchased 5 more at Dollar store. Kitchen could use a decent frying pan, especially during Covid, when most cooking was done at the house. Outside pictures of property misled one to think it was remote houses on all sides) and a narrow path to bay for kayak/canoe launch instead of the dock pictured in distance was disappointing. Sunset views were beautiful.
