We loved our stay at Survivor this past week! The house was in a great location, not far from the beach. The house was spacious and comfortable. The furnishings could be updated, but overall a great week!

We loved our stay at the Survivor! The house was perfect for our family of 13! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. for preparing big meals. The shallow water on the sound was great for swimming, floating, and paddle boarding. The Gulf of Mexico was just a short walk away. All the provided beach toys, floats, and beach wagon came in handy. The ice machine was an added bonus. Loved watching the sunrise & sunset from the deck. We hope to come back again.

Our stay at Survivor was interrupted by a TERRIBLE storm. Lost electricity for 10 hours, but Carol and Ed checked on us continually, offering service of any kind we needed. The house has so much space that our family vacation of 6 adults and 1 infant had space to share and space to be alone. The sunset from the deck was beautiful. (and we got to watch dolphins play :) ) The proximity of the ocean (across the street) perfect.

The house had plenty of room for the seven of us. It was in a great location. The check in process was easy. Great communication with the owner. The home had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely stay again!

We had so much room. We were impressed that the house was well stocked kitchen, utensils bathrooms had plenty of towels and beach towels, humongous ice maker and overflow of beach toys. The owner helped us with every tiny problem. We had to leave 2 days early because of a death. We were well pleased!

We had a great time during our stay at this property. The bedroom set up is spacious and worked well for us, along with the large dining room table which hosted may laughs! The location on the Sounds Side was perfect for our family with 2 younger children. Location is great for also walking a short distance to access the gulf side of the island. The beach toys and umbrella were a fantastic and appreciated extra! We had a really wonderful stay and made a lifetime of memories for my family. Thank you!

Perfect for our family

We had a fun week at Survivor. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for our two families to spread out. The kids loved playing on the gulf side beach which was only a very short 2 or 3 minute walk away and really loved crabbing on the bay beach where by far the biggest crabs were found. The beach wagon was especially helpful in dragging all their stuff to the gulf beach and the ice maker was a big plus. We didn’t cook much so can’t really comment about cooking equipment. The location is great. There is very little traffic on the road and by being midway down the island everything we needed was quick to drive to. Carol was very responsive and helpful the two times I called with a question.

We found this property to be perfect for our vacation. It was spacious, in a good location for both the Gulf and the Bay, and the beach wagon with umbrella, chairs and toys were appreciated. Carol responded to all my emails quickly.

We stayed from June 24-July 8th. The house was perfect. The bay behind the house was absolutely perfect. Very short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some family time. Ed and Carol were very responsive and cooperative. Quick to respond with any questions we had.

My family and friends had the best week here. Very comfortable, clean and accommodating. Kitchen equipped with everything you need and the commercial ice machine is the bomb, money and time saver. Carol and Ed are the best host very professional and efficient in answering all my questions. Highly recommend this home to anyone.

The house was even more than we anticipated! It was bigger than we thought itbwould be and had everything we could have possibly needed! We could have left all chairs, beach towels, wagons, and so much at home because they had it for us! The awesome ice machine was perfect!! The hosts were fantastic. They responded very quickly to our questions and even offered to bring things to us if we needed them. We sure hope to stay in this particular home the next time we go back to Dauphin Island!

Wonderful House!
We stayed at the Survivor house for our annual wives weekend. The house was absolutely wonderful, and we enjoyed every minute. It was very clean, and had more than enough space for everyone. The outdoor deck space is wonderful for enjoying the view of the water. We will definitely be coming back again next year!

Family getaway
Beautiful property and home with everything you need. Our extended family came together for a few days and this house had everything we needed, and more. The ‘pond’ on the bay was the favorite of the kids, and the adults loved the ability to be close to the house when it was time to head back.

Spot on the bay
We have a house in the island but needed a larger place to celebrate my grandmother turning 100! The house was perfect ! The views were spectacular. The bay and the title pool provided many hours of enjoyment even though it was a chilly weekend!

Amazing Home!
This wonderful home has it all. We have never stayed at a home so well stocked with kitchen supplies, beach towels, beach toys/chairs, etc. The beach wagon was a life saver! We really could have packed much less. The home was spacious and so comfortable. We loved it!

Amazing View
Mini family reunion with 9 adults. The house was the perfect size for our 4 families. We had a few snags; cable went out the 2nd day (we didn't miss it), the propane tanks were empty (oven worked fine). Ed & Carol were terrific about returning messages and trying to resolve the cable issue. The Sound was at our back door. We had a beautiful view of the island Bridge from our deck. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Our 1st time to DI and I already want to return.

Wonderful property for family vacation!
My husband and I, our grown children and grandchildren had a wonderful, relaxing week at Survivor! The layout of beds and baths worked well for our family of 12. We spent lots of time hanging out on the large back deck, where you can view both sunrise and sunset The house was well stocked with kitchen items, linens and beach accessories. The cart to transport beach gear and large ice machine were highly appreciated. It had everything we needed. The bay side was very shallow with minimal waves, which was perfect for relaxing on a raft or for the children to play and look for crabs. On the gulf side, there were more waves and beach to play in the sand. Best of both worlds! The owner was very pleasant and responsive. I would highly recommend!

Great Family Beach Vacation
The house was perfect for our 12 family members. Lots of room to spread out and for kids to play, but private enough if you needed quiet time. The pace on the island was just what we were looking for in a beach getaway. The access to the calm waters of the sound was perfect for our little kids and the ocean was just a quick walk across the street for boogie boarding, shell hunting and night time fishing. Carol is a great host and was very attentive to any questions we had. We will definately book this house again!!!

The property was wonderful and Carol was a wonderful host! We throughly enjoyed the wonderful kitchen, decks, and views! It was an easy walk to the bay side of the gulf, and short walk to the gulf side public beach access. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and would highly rate this property!

Fun times with family.
Stayed for a week with adults teens and 2 little ones. We had plenty of room. It was great to have the bay side. We had brought kayaks and we rented paddle boards. The bay side was great for these activities. The little ones enjoyed playing in the sand. Plenty of cooking utensils. We ate almost all meals at the house. The island is great for relaxing. I would rent this house again. Janet.

The house was great! Very spacious and clean. Walking out the back door to the bayside of the water was perfect for kids because it was calm and shallow. Hosts were great too! Thanks so much!
