I loved my week at the Mingary Cottage! The home was full of light, had soft, comfortable furniture, and great views. My dog loved running around in the front yard. Janell and Kevin were quick to respond to questions and personable. I will definitely stay here the next time I come to Door County!

Well equipped and very comfortable cottage. We had a great time in spite of the weather. This was our second time staying at this cottage.

We loved our weeklong stay at the Mingary. The house is beautiful, the kitchen well stocked with nice appliances and dishes, pans etc. The location of the house is so convenient to shopping, hiking, orchards etc. yet it feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Lots of good birding right from the living room too!

Wonderful place to stay! We loved the quiet location of the of the property. The house was very clean and more than enough room for five adults and one dog. The owners were very communicative and helpful. Towels would have been helpful, but we would definitely stay there again.

Great place

The property was cuter in person than in the pictures! My family with 3 kids and 2 dogs fit with room to spare. We ate meals on the large wrap around porch in the evening with lavender landscaping as our backdrop. The location to the beach, restaurants, state park and shopping couldn’t have been better! My only suggestion for the owners is to invest in bath towels. It’s hard to pack those as well as everything else! Otherwise, exceptional property, good communication with the owners, 5 star stay.

This spot was perfect in so many ways. It was centrally located to all the things we love to see and do in Door County. It was quiet and peaceful, with no major traffic or crowd disturbances, just the deer passing by on occasion. It had all the amenities we needed for family breakfasts and dinners together, and provided separate spaces for each contingent of our family (grandparents, parents and children) to have a relaxing and private retreat from each other when necessary. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

A great place to get away with the kids for a long weekend. Plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.

I stayed at Mingary for four nights with three of my cousins to celebrate my 50th birthday. Super close to all that Door County has to offer. Really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location to explore Door County! Short, 5 minute drive into town for ice cream and the sunset in Ephraim. Also close to the drive in movie which was a hit for all ages.

A great place to stay. Close to the main road but in a quiet location. Very comfortable and the bedrooms were big. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching some deer run by. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property in a fantastic location. My young family and I have been going to Door County every year for several years and we all agreed this is our favorite property. We’ll surely be back!

This house was a perfect fit for our long weekend with family. The owner was very communicative and had great directions for finding the property and checking in. The house was very comfortable and well stocked. It is in a perfect location to get to all the towns in Door County. I would stay here again when traveling to Door County.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mingary Cottage. The covered porch was really nice for sitting outside during the spring rain events and the layout was spacious enough for a group of 4 adults and two kiddos. The location was well positioned for trips to either Ephraim, Sisters Bay, or Fish Creek.

The house was lovely and very comfortable for 5 adults and a baby. We all enjoyed sitting on the veranda and grilling. I never felt so at home in Door Co. It also had a nice understated charm. It was quiet and yet close to towns (by car.)

This is the second year we have stayed here with our adult children and their partners. Nice location because it is quiet and wooded, but within minutes of Ephraim or Sister Bay. The house was clean and spacious for 6 people, and we love the front porch! This year we saw a doe and her fawn walking through the woods.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Mingary for several days during the first week of June and found this wonderful place to be absolutely fabulous and relaxing. Located on a dead end road, this home is an easy, scenic drive to both Sister Bay and Ephraim. The home is beautifully decorated, SPOTLESSLY clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed for both home cooking and grilling-(including a new gas grill-no discarded "hand me downs" here). There is a small patio on the back of the house and a spacious covered front porch with a swing and comfy adirondeck chairs to watch the spectacular Lake Michigan sunsets in the bay. The master bedroom is well appointed and incudes a big bathroom with a walk-in shower. The thick, fluffy towels and bedding were included and the comfy bed provided us several nights of blissful, quiet sleep. This spacious home includes 2 more bedrooms- one with two twin beds and the other a queen bed, and another bathroom which incudes a tub/shower combo. The living room is very big, open and airy with two french doors that open to the covered front porch. There is a dining area off of the living room and a large breakfast nook area off of the kitchen. The home is an easy distance to both Sister Bay and Ephraim and right up the road from Fish Creek. Treat yourself to the many wonderful restaurants, shops and park in the area...you will not be disappointed. We loved Al Johnson's,and The White Gull Inn for breakfast and would highly recommend both. The Gibralter Grill is a great pick for lunch or dinner. There is so much to see and do in Door County- we were never bored and hope to come back in the fall with family members to enjoy the autumn colors. We also enjoyed seeing wild turkeys and roaming deer in the back, wooded area- just another added bonus. This place is fabulous- we hope to be back again and would definitely give the Mingary a "thumbs up"!
