The first thing we noticed upon arriving on the property was 2 big garage cans overflowing with garbage and garbage sitting on the ground. Then we discovered there was no AC and temps were in the high 90’s. Checked around and found fans. There were very dirty, but we had to try to stay cool. We ended up having to buy some fans. Found a dryer full of towels! A closet that had bedding stuff just thrown on the floor! The shower door was not clean and around the bottom of the shower on the outside didn’t look like it had been cleaned for a very long time. When we observed these things you wonder how clean the rest of the place is. There was plenty of room for our family! Enjoyed the wildlife that roamed the property!

The garage was nice for our motorcycles. It is secluded but right off the highway with a great view of the valley behind it from the huge deck. We saw deer and turkeys. I would recommend it to others and would rent again if we had a large group. The driveway could be marked a bit better, very easy to miss the turn off the highway.

Great spot

This property was the perfect place for me and my girls to hang out, get ready, and come back and crash for the night. The location has gorgeous views, the house is just beautiful, and the distance to get into Deadwood is perfect. You are outside of town, but not too far away. The house and the feel inside is super homey and comfortable. When you would go out on the deck in the morning or right around sunset, you would see many deer and turkeys just doing their thing. Just beautiful. The patio door did not work for us and we couldn't figure out why. I sent a message to the property manager, and he sent one back right away on how to try and make it work. We tried his trick, but unfortunately, we weren't able to get it to work for us. He apologized for the inconvenience and said once we were gone that he would take a look at it to get it working for the next people. It would have been nice to have working for us, but I understand these things happen. Otherwise, everything worked great for us. I can't recommend this place enough. It was a great experience, and I am already wanting to plan another friend or family trip in the future so we can stay here again!

The cabin is in a great location super close to Deadwood and just a few minutes from Spearfish. The 14 acres has some beautiful scenery and lots of space for outdoor activities and sight-seeing. We had 5 kids with us and they enjoyed the hot tub and the open grassy area to play catch on. There are a couple of rooms in the house that are a bit older than the rest of the house, but it looks like they've renovated the kitchen area. The eating area and dining room were very spacious for lots of company. The house was in good condition and overall we had a wonderful time at your cabin with our family! Thank you! :-)

This was a great place to stay for our family vacation. It is an older home, but you can tell they are going through and updated it. The view and property was spectacular. Very central for different places to visit in the area.

There was some miscommunication between owner and rental company about the deck being redone and the old deck wood was placed out in the middle of the meadow which was the back drop to our wedding. The master bathroom shower did not work, there were squirrels or chipmunks above the kitchen, the bottom steps were shaky(although I know they were redoing the deck already). All in all even with these little hiccups it was a great location. Thank you.

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival [very difficult to find, we had to put a garbage can out for a landmark] we found some issues with the hot tub that they tried to fix but was unsuccessful and a couple of windows that were broken.Privacy was an issue as well. We had 4 couple's and three single men. All the rooms seemed to have clear glass doors leading to a common area. We had to hang sheets over them for privacy. One room with 2 double beds is attached to the master bedroom and they have to walk past your bed to use the bathroom. Not a very well laI'd out house. But we made it work. The overall condition of the house was good and clean. Coffee maker could use an upgrade (very slow). Bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels.The management was friendly and helpful. Overall, not a bad stay just the privacy issues.

Stay was great, close to deadwood, the views were great! The only thing would be better markings to the entrance. Very hard to see it at night. Maybe put a solar light out to better see the driveway. Otherwise great stay!

Great set up for what we needed. If this were my rental house I’d see to it that the cleaners were doing what they’re paid to do. Going on a vacation to start out cleaning is not ideal one bit. I can assure you it was cleaner than when we showed up. Aside from the lack of cleaning, it really did work just fine. Kids and I loved to see the wildlife every evening, and morning.

Beautiful location. Nothing fancy, but very spacious and most supplies were plentiful. Minor details could be improved on and have been reported to the manager. We would book this house again in the future.

Only thing this year was there is a mouse problem in the pantry. Mouse had eaten pancake mix, marshmellows, oat meal, etc. We threw everything including paper plates and napkins in case they crawled on anything.

Property manager was great always responded to my questions in a timely manner. The house and property is beautiful…loved sitting outside in the mornings drinking coffee watching the wildlife truly a peaceful place to stay. The house is spacious our group of 12 people had plenty of room without always being on top of each other.

Nice relaxing location and scenic. Not all the bedrooms were as private as the pictures suggested. This would be better suited for close family because of the lack of privacy of some of the bedrooms. There was a lot of flies in the house when we arrived. I believe it was priced accordingly for the time of year that we were there.
