The home was well located and cozy. Although the kitchen was on the smaller side, it was well stocked with equipment and had everything we needed. Thank you for letting us stay here!

Our whole family had a marvelous week here in August. The owners live next door and did all they could to make our stay great! We would definitely rent this rustic house again.

Firstly, the cabin is just perfect - it's a shame more of these properties don't still exist in East and West Vail. We had a group of six - from teens to young and middle age adults. The "kids" took the downstairs and we took the upstairs bedroom - perfect set up for us. The large front deck is just wonderful, as is the back deck with the hot tub. Kitchen very well equipped. And the owners, Andy and Meg, are local and super responsive! And you cannot discount being right at the bus stop - all in all fabulous - we will ABSOLUTELY stay at Larkspur Lodge again!

Exactly what we needed for this week in Vail. Great open space on main floor and the front patio. Bed access for 2 people a little tight but wasn’t a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We chose the Larkspur Lodge for our annual ski trip. As we continue to age, we learn to appreciate having adequate space for both lounging and storing our gear. The Larkspur Lodge worked out perfectly as we were able to keep all of our gear in the clean garage and there was adequate sleeping space for eight adults. Spending the extra money vs staying in a condo was worth every penny...PRIVATE (CLEAN) HOT TUB! Our only complaints were that we had to buy our own detergents for the washer and dishwasher. Also, the mini fridge in the basement had an atrocious smell from previous renters, which could clear out the entire room if you opened it. This essentially rendered the fridge useless for our stay, but luckily we had a couple coolers with that could keep beverages from freezing when left outside overnight. Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting again in the future!

My husband, brother and I had a magical experience staying at Andy & Meg's Larkspur cabin. The cabin was cozy, comfy and offered everything we were looking/hoping for. We will definitely be back in the future! Meg was lovely to communicate with and a wonderful host!

The Larkspur Lodge was the perfect little getaway for our quick mountain vacation. It had everything we needed and a hot tub to boot!! Steps from the shuttle, but outside of Vail Village for a bit more peace and quiet.

This house amplified our Vail experience. The house is a few miles away from the village and a few trails. This house was excellent for family and friends. 10/10 would rent again.

This cabin fit our needs perfectly for 6 adults and 2 dogs, with room to spare! The location was great-away from the heart of Vail so you had privacy, but close enough to have easy access to the town. The large hot tub on the back deck was wonderful for relaxing and viewing the amazing stars. The bedrooms are a little on the small side, but we appreciated having queen size beds that were very comfortable. I would be careful staying with small children, some pets, and elderly because the spiral staircase could be tricky. The cabin is well supplied with everything you could need. We loved being able to gather at the outside table for a couple of meals! Very relaxing stay! Thank you!

Nice property, hot tub is 95% private, rooms are a little small but the beds are big queen size, good kitchen except we couldn’t figure out how to work the microwave and the turntable they’re in.

Nice house and very responsive owner. We had 3 children and 5 adults and everyone was happy with the place. Would suggest getting the knives sharpened and moving the fire extinguisher to a more accessible place but other than that the place worked for us perfectly.

This house was incredible. Huge house with 2 living rooms, plenty of beds, a hot tub, and nice kitchen. Our group staying here had 0 complaints. The house is right next to the bus stop that takes you to the bottom of the gondola also. Very conveniently located. 10/10 experience; would highly recommend staying here. Andy (the owner) is also the man. Super helpful and nice guy .

This is a lovely home with five rooms and can accommodate a good number of people. We rented this home so that we could have a rehearsal retreat for our band. There was plenty of room for us to sleep, rehearse, cook and eat meals, and generally function happily. The hot tub outside was a wonderful way to relax after a hard day. The kitchen was well-appointed and easy to use. We cooked full meals there and ate them comfortably at the long table. I would highly recommend this home.

The place was clean and comfortable. Great location, just a short shuttle ride to downtown Vail and the shuttle stop is very close by. We would definitely stay again.

Andy was very nice to deal with and prompt to help with any issue we had. Only negative was that we felt the cabin could have been a little cleaner. There were cobwebs in the corners and on the light fixtures. Just felt it could use a real “deep” cleaning. Overall, a nice place for us to stay, while celebrating our sons wedding. Love Vail!!

What an incredible week!!! It was a ski vacation beyond our expectations!!! Beautiful home, close to bus stop, very convenient. All 8 of us want to say thank you to Andy and Meg!!!

We chose this property because it seemed to fit out needs for a planned family vacation for us, our 3 adults sons, and two daughters-in-law. Andrew met us upon our arrival and was easily available. It was quaint, cozy, and comfortable, and large enough for us to be able to have our own space when needed. The kitchen and large kitchen table were just right for when we wanted to cook and eat in. The kitchen was well-supplied with cooking utensils and cookware. The fireplace was a nice feature, as were the 3 flat screen TV's - one in one of the bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs - perfect for gathering to what the Winter Olympics in the evening after our day in the outdoors. Access was easy either through the door with the key that was kept in a lock box, or thru the key-coded garage door. The garage is available but we kept our vehicles outside. Since the property is in West Vail, there was a short ride into Vail Village. The bus stop for the FREE bus ride to Vail Village was a very short walk from the house. The bus is a very nice feature used by many staying in the area. If you're not a downhill skier, there is cross country skiing and some non-skiers in our group even took a snowmobile tour which they really enjoyed. The hot tub was enjoyed by the family multiple times. There are plenty of towels, and a fully functional laundry room. You'll want to take a book light if you're the type that reads in bed. The spiral staircase was a cool feature, but could be a challenge to navigate if you have any difficulty walking. If you are renting a vehicle in the winter, I suggest getting a 4-wheel drive option since it will make it much easier to get around when it shows. Be aware that some of the highways leading into Vail require a 4-wheel drive vehicle under certain conditions, or, if you have 2-wheel drive you must have chains on.

This cabin is FANTASTIC! Wonderful location and steps away from the Vail bus system. Hot tub was fun! Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need! Hairdryer, sleds, towels, pretty much everything you need. Andy cane and helped us when disposal was stopped up right away! Very friendly family to rent from, I recommend this cabin!

We were in town for a wedding, and this house couldn’t have been a better home base for us. Andy was great to work with, and I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone that asks.

The property is clean and well maintained. Awesome location. Based on pictures, I anticipated the rooms to be a little bigger than actual.

We enjoyed everything about this home very much on the wedding weekend (Sept 2017) of our daughter! This lovely home accommodated sleeping arrangements upstairs for the grandparents and parents of the bride and the lower level bedrooms with the brothers of the bride. We were able to walk back and forth to the duplex cabin where the bridal party was staying. Many of the guests walked to the bus stop to get to wedding festivities easily. The home was cozy with the beds very comfy. There is a beautiful view from every window. Thank you Andy for making our wedding weekend fun so very much like home. We hope to come back again!

This lovely home is exactly as advertised! We spent a week with our family, including our two adult children, their partners, and a 2 and 4 year old. Initially we had some concerns about the children and the spiral staircase, but it was never an issue. All eight of us enjoyed having the space to hang out together AND room to find some privacy. We cooked almost all of our meals in the well supplied kitchen, putting the crockpot, griddle, and waffle iron all to good use. The owners live next door and are readily available to provide assistance, if needed. As a matter of fact, when Andy realized we had two young children with us, he brought by a box of toys for their enjoyment. They were captivated by having new toys to play with and were kept occupied for hours, a bonus for everyone! There is a lovely playground within easy walking distance, and of course, the entire Vail Valley's resources are within reach. During our week, we went to see the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Ford Amphitheater, journeyed to the top of the mountain for the Epic Discovery adventures, strolled the Farmer's Market, explored the Betty Ford Alpine Garden, attended story time at the library, watched an ice skating competition at the Dobson Arena, rode bikes, took a fly fishing expedition, and simply hung out in our home away from home. A good time was truly had by all!
