Pinewood Lodge offered great living and dining space for a large family gathering. We had a large group with kids and adults of all ages and lots of room to spread out. The beach and views are beautiful!!

The property was exactly as describe. There was plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy themselves without being on top of one another.There was a total of 28 of us that made it and we had a blast. They have everything you need at the lodge such as plenty of towels, dishes, pots and pans, small appliances, games, movies, and a breath taken view of Lake Superior. I would definitely stay again. I would recommend this property. The only problem I had was that we didn’t get any snow other than that it was a perfect stay. We still got to do some snow tubing at a near by ski resort.

We rented the Pinewood Lodge to host our immediate families for a small wedding. It was the perfect spot to have everyone. The lodge and location are beautiful with gorgeous views overlooking Lake Superior. There was plenty of space to fit our crew of 22 people. The location was perfect, right between Marquette and Munising. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue!

Property was super clean and well kept up. Amazing views at all times of the day. Everyone loved our stay, only wish the AC worked a little better as it did get quite warm inside during the day (but let’s face it who wants to be inside when there’s that beach!)

The entire resort is beautiful! The house is clean, well designed to accommodate large groups with ease, lots of amenities. The deck offers generous outdoor seating, all with great views of the lake. You get both sunrises and sunsets! The beach is sandy, no rocks and you can walk for miles. We loved our stay!

We rented this property for our daughters wedding. There were 30 people, 1/2 family 1/2 their friends. The home was perfect as the two separate spaces kept the friends group 21+ quietly away from the parents and young kids. The grounds were beautiful and beach peaceful and relaxing. We could not have asked for a better wedding venue! Thank you

This property is beautiful. There were enough rooms and beds for all 23 of us, with some to spare. The owners were very easy to get ahold of. We used the kayaks and paddle boards and alot of us swam in the lake. I loved all the quiet areas you could sneak off to if you needed some peace and quiet to read or think . Short drive to pictured rocks and waterfalls . Made lots of great memories!

Wonderful view, weather was absolutely great. Cabin was super clean and supplies were well stocked. We used kayaks and paddle boards everyday! Matt and Holly communicated everything in advance if our stay. Highly recommended for a base destination whether going to Munisin, Grand Marais, and or Marquette.

A wonderful place and experience!
Holly and Matt are such wonderful responsive hosts and their property lived up to the very high expectations established by the beautiful pictures. Very well appointed kitchens, comfortable beds (my kids want to trade in their home mattresses!), and plenty of towels. We loved all the eating and hangout rooms. Staying here was relaxing and rejuvenating. We look forward to returning!

It is a beautiful beach and location. We had 4 generations if family there. The teens and younger loved the kayaks.

The property was absolutely beautiful and amazing. It was fully equipped with everything you can think of and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The only negative thing I’d say is that some of the thermostats didn’t work properly so some rooms were cold. But again this didn’t hurt our trip, we still had a blast.

Absolutely Beautiful
We had a group of 25 snowmobilers and this place is absolutely perfect. We all had our own beds/bedrooms & bathrooms! It's very spacious, well stocked with dishes, etc. for large groups. We did a Costco run before we arrived so we cooked all breakfasts and dinners at the lodge and there was plenty of space for cooking and everyone to sit down and eat their meals. The trail was just 1/4 mile down the road. Restaurants, gas stations and grocery were close by. I highly recommend!! We will be back!!

Amazing Log House and Water View
We have 25 people together living in this beautiful log house for 4 days 3 nights, we all have unforgettable memories. The house is very clean and excellent decor and settings. The hosts are easily to communicate. I would highly recommend this place and will paln a trip back in the summer!

Magical
Matt and Holly were excellent hosts and kept us informed via vrbo in a timely manner as the days neared for the trip. Originally our trip consisted of 34 but 12 had to drop last minute.
We loved the house- it’s the largest we saw and was fabulous in proximity to the beach, outdoor space, deck space, cabanas, rooms, kitchens, supplies and yes the theatre. The beach was pristine and private. Although our stay there was overtaken by rain. We still enjoyed the beach and water in between the showers. The water temp was the warmest it could get in UP. Overall everyone enjoyed the place.

Four Generation Family Reunion
This place was perfect! There were 27 of us, ages 3 to 80. Most of them were in their 20s. There was PLENTY of room. The two kitchens made it easy to prepare the meals for the whole group. There’s a lot of room to spread out both inside and out. Morning coffee at the gazebo. Bonfires at night. The beach was our own and just added to the experience. The house is perfectly located between Munising and Marquette so there was plenty of options for day trips or dinners out. I can’t recommend this place enough!!

Family Reunion
What a great location and property! We had 29 people from both coasts and in between, for a family reunion at the Pinewood Lodge. We could not have asked for better accommodations, and location. The area is absolutely spectacular and the lodge offered plenty of space to spread out. We kayaked to Au Train Island, went on a Pictured Rocks sunset boat tour, and spent hours relaxing, and enjoying the beautiful beach (and even saw a bald eagle!!) and lodge. I highly recommend the Pinewood Lodge for a large group getaway! Matt and Holly were great to work with, and went above and beyond to answer all of our questions.
