House was perfect. Everything we needed they had. Spent a day at Oval beach, went on dune rides and lots of shopping.

The house was in a great location with a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen was well stocked but the wine fridge and Kuerig didn’t work. The furniture was comfortable. The only complaint would be that there weren’t full sets of good towels. Other than that it was a good place for our family vacation!

Very nice home with great space to spread out and gather comfortably. It was equipped with everything we needed and was conveniently located. Denise was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. The only complaint we had was that the water heater didnt seem to have the capacity for everyone to get a warm shower after a day at the beach. Would stay here again.

It was really nice waking up to a picturesque view of the Kalamazoo River just steps from the Mt Baldy Steps and the Saugatuck Chain Ferry so we could visit the historic district and all the cute shops and restaurants without having to drive. Spacious house with great amenities!

The house is listed as beautifully remodeled, well-kept property and very clean. This is an absolutely misleading description - the only remodeled area is perhaps the spacious living room. Bathrooms were old with old style shower faucets (I can provide pictures). The house was not clean; sticky spots were all over the countertop, dishwasher and dining room table (pictures are available). In addition, there was a water leak from the ceiling of the living room that ended up filling a whole bucket over the night. The owner was responsive and offered to reimburse us for the $250 cleaning cost, but what about the inconvenience? Overall the house was functional, but the price was too high for what it has to offer. We used VRBO in the past and the house descriptions were usually accurate and reliable. This one was misleading. We are very disappointed! Not sure we will use VRBO in the future! We expect some compensation for the disillusion and the inconvenience we experienced.

Nice top floor of a house, great neighbor renters. Watched 4th of fireworks from the front patio. Family lives in Saugatuck so very convenient. The chain ferry was a fun way to get to town.

I would highly recommend this place, especially if you have a larger group. We have 12 girls and rented the studio for extra space. The view was great, the host was very responsive, and the beds were SO comfy!! We will be back.

We had a great time in Saugatuck as always. This home is just drive into Saugatuck or Douglas. It has a beautiful view of the lake. The inside is very nice and has great accommodations. The pictures made it seem like it was two level and had a patio with couch and fire pit BUT you only get that if you rent out the studio also I guess so you only get one balcony area to sit which is fine but felt like close quarters with another group right below us.

Great property, only didn't realize this was an upper unit. A lot of steps. Very Nice!!

Great visit for tulip festival. Property was clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the deck and views of river. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Close to oval beach too. Property owner was very helpful and responsive.

Beds were good. Kitchen had everything. Clean. Good parking. Warm and cozy. We cooked twice and when out twice. Beautiful Fall colors. Hiking was enjoyable. Thanks

Beautifully furnished, large open layout, impressive decorations, wonderful deck with view of the water, huge refrigerator, large bedrooms, fire pit with several chairs, and the host was always available. The unit is on the second floor with a beautiful stairway in the foyer. The location is close to everything including the beach, downtown Saugatuck, and Mount Baldhead (with it's 302 steps to the top). The area is tree covered with unique houses along the water. Very memorable stay for the 6 of us.

Property was great, relaxing, perfect for our college friends’ reunion. Short bike ride or drive to everything we wanted to do, beautiful upper deck and views of the lake where we enjoyed wine and snacks. Only suggestion is to assure the coffee pot works (or perhaps a new one)! Thank you, Denise : )

Came here for a long weekend meeting up with family. We had such a great time. The space was so spacious and so clean and decorated with such care. We were five adults and two children and there was more than enough accommodations for everyone. We enjoyed the interior and the walk out patio that overlooked the lake and Saugatuck across. Denise was so kind and informative when we spoke. Check in was very simple and instructions very clear. Would come back again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! It worked perfectly for our extended family. Denise was a pleasure to communicate with and we look forward to hopefully staying there again in the future!

The property was in a great location with access to the beach and local shops and restaurants. There was a small issue with cleanliness. Some dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Also there was not enough toilet paper provided. Last thing: not sure why we had to clean towels and sheets when we paid for a cleaning service . Overall, we had a very nice time.

Nice large home fit seven of us comfortably. House was spacious and clean. Fire pit and gas grill overlooking the lake and a porch of the living quarters overlooking the lake Communication with host was excellent. Excellent location. Boat rentals, chain ferry to cross river to downtown area as well as Mt. Bladhead all in walking distance. If Ferry closed, short 5 minute drive to town. Short scenic drive to beach. Will stay again during our next visit to Saugatuck

It is a beautiful and spacious home. There were 5 adults and 3 children (2,6,7) It's close to many activities but you need a car if you have little ones. The trek to the beach is a bit over a mile but up a steep hill. The chain ferry is great because it is a 1 minute walk from the house and takes you across the river to shops, breweries and restaurants. Do the doughnut boat rental! Our host, Denise was wonderful.

The portion of the house that we stayed in on the second level had a beautiful view and had plenty of room for the 5 of us that stayed there. It was a quiet location and a 5 minute drive to downtown Saugatuck. We did take the ferry one time in to town, and it’s just down the street. But when we tried to come back at 8pm the “closed” sign was out, even though their signage said it was open until 8:45. So we ended up calling an Uber. But if you have children this would have been a problem with car seats. The shopping and restaurants downtown were awesome, as well as our afternoon at Oval Beach. Our only complaint was that one bathroom has a glass paned door and it doesn’t close well. Kind of awkward when you want privacy. Also I would suggest getting a bed for the room with a pull out couch, it would be really nice to have since you have enough room in there. We didn’t use the pullout couch because those are never very comfortable for adults. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for adults that can climb stairs easily and don’t have children to worry about around the open staircase.

This property was perfect for our family which included our two adult children and one spouse, The accommodations are terrific, the location in Saugatuck unbeatable. We were steps away from the chain ferry and 1Adventure where we rented our pontoon boat. Denise was an excellent host and we hope to be back for another adventure.

This trip was a group of friends that live all over the country and we could all be in one place to celebrate the 4th of July. It worked for what we needed and the host was very sweet and responsive. The location is fantastic and the view was very nice. However, a couple of key things need to be pointed out. First, the description does say that you can add on a studio and a one bedroom. This particular listing only includes the upstairs, not the whole house like in the listing picture. It was a bit confusing to me. Secondly, There was only 1 bath towel per person and no spare towels at all. There was no detergent to clean them in the event of getting dirty, or to start the washer at checkout. They also had names of hotels on the tags. Lastly, the privacy in the bathrooms. Two of the bathrooms require you to go into a bedroom. The third is similar has a sliding door blocking off the bedroom. But I don't think it locked. The master bedroom bathroom door had glass so you can see right in, as does the study. To me, not an ideal setup for 8 or 9 people.

We loved our stay here for our summer getaway. It was conveniently located <1 mile from the beach and a short drive or ferry ride from town, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. We also had fun making s’mores in the communal fire pit. Denise was a great host, and we would stay here again.

Great location. So easy to walk to chain ferry to go into Saugatuck or to Mt Bald park and oval beach. House was clean, well equipped and a big enough space that 8 girlfriends had an awesome week.

This is a great house for four of us to get together and spend three days. It was decorated nicely and very clean. Also the location is excellent. Unfortunately, the oven did not work but we made due without! Fire pit was wonderful! Thank you Denise for keeping in touch!

The place is beautiful and had a great view of the water. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed oir stay very much. Denise was also so nice and helpful with everything including a list restaurants and shopping in the area. I definitely recommend this listing and will stay here again if in Saugatuck.
