We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute and cozy unit set in a tranquil residential area. It was very walkable and super close to the free shuttle around town. This place is exceptionally clean and well appointed. A must mention is the quality of the bedding. I LOVE the sheets and other bedding. The bed was super comfy with great hotel style pillows. I had to untuck the sheets all around to find out the brand and am going to order them for my own bed!!! Jill was awesome. Super nice and communicative. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. Bed was nice, good bedding, pillows, no squeaking! Limited tv options…. Netflix was all we could figure out. Walkable to town, and Mt Marathon trail head. We did Jeep trail which was pretty tough, but a great sense of accomplishment. Enjoyed Rockfish tacos at place in town, and Jdock fishing. Easy dealing with host. You can hear footsteps upstairs as you would in any 2 story dwelling, didn’t bother us at all.

This place had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking/driving to the boat. Saw a bear next door. They had every kitchen gadget we needed.

Our stay was great! The property was clean and the decorations gave it a real Alaskan feel. Very close to lots of restaurants. The host was very friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond. The VRBO is part of an attached home so you will hear footsteps above you, but it was not too bad. Would stay here again!

We loved our stay! It was perfect for the 2 of us. Clean, cozy & convenient! The property was located close to the harbor…we were able to walk there for our boat tour (~1/2 mile). The chilly weather during our visit was quickly dispelled by the great heater in the apartment. Highly recommend this Seward property!

We highly recommend this property! The host is so accommodating. We had to change our dates and Jill was so easy to work with. We arrived early on our first day and as the cottage was available, our host let us check in early. This was great as we could settle in with all our stuff prior to exploring the area for the rest of the day. The cottage was perfect for our needs and well provisioned. It is in a great location...close to downtown area and also to the dock area where most tours leave from. It sits near Marathon mountain in a nice quiet spot. Book this place!

The property is located between the harbor area and historic Seward. Each is easily accessible but a car is needed. The owner is clearly interested in the comfort of her guests. The accommodations are well maintained.

This small place was exactly what was advertised. Host provided lots of good information about the local area (including restaurant recommendations). Nicely decorated, great location, and some pretty touches (flower baskets outside). We had a good time and would happily recommend it again.

The Taildragger was absolutely perfect! It was a comfortable place to come home to after each day’s adventures. It’s absolutely beautiful and is in the perfect location to get to dining, excursions and shopping quickly! We will be back!

Very clean, nice layout. Although the location was extremely quiet there was plenty of noise from above. Unit is below owners quarters. Just about every time they walked the ceiling would squeak.

Excellent Location. Extremely clean. Only issue was TV hard to use, internet was slow. Easy check in and check out. A foot stool is needed for the couch so tenants can prop there feet out. Coffee selection was off the charts. Would definitely rent the property again if in Seward. So 9.9 out of 10. Nothing is perfect!

I was in Seward for my son’s wedding and the Taildragger Inn was the perfect place to stay. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back.

Great location to everything. Nice touches like snacks and coffee left for us. Only “con” would be we could hear footsteps above us and wondered how sound proof the walls were.

This apartment was just what we needed for our short stay in Seward. We enjoyed the short walk to the downtown area and the fantastic view of both the mountain and the bay.

You couldn’t have a better location for your stay. Close to water, town, and great hikes. The hosts are wonderful as well. The place is very roomy, clean, and has everything you need. You can hear the owners upstairs , however they really make an effort to be quiet. Would definitely recommend this place.

This apartment was absolutely perfect for my grandson and I. He slept on the sleeper sofa which looked new and it was perfect for him. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Kitchen was very well stocked. We had one small issue with the heater and the owners immediately responded and took care of things. Location couldn’t have been better. We didn’t have the greatest weather so drove into town instead of walked but walking would have been the choice and easily done. We could hear the owners upstairs sometimes but it was not intrusive at all. The only suggestion we would have (from my grandson) is black out shades or drapes. Depending on the time of year, it would help. Although I wore an eye mask which did the trick! Thank you Jill and Ronn for great accommodations!

The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It is within walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants and is only a couple of blocks from one of the free shuttle stops. We would definitely stay here again.

Walking in you can feel the warmth. This place was very clean and even had all the amenities of a home including snacks! The bed was comfy and felt great after a full day fishing and hiking. Owners were always accommodating!!

Second time staying at one of Jill Hemstock’s vacation rentals. Both were super clean! Loved the thoughtful extras such as coffee, condiments and cleaning supplies. This particular property is located in downtown Seward, within walking distance of the marina (~ one mile), the aquarium (~one-half mile) and everything in between. During the summer, there is a free shuttle that stops a few blocks away. We used this shuttle to get from the train station to the VRBO and to/ from the Safeway. Hope to book again sometime soon!
