The kitchen had everything you could ever need. Very pleasant atmosphere. The garage was super good and location was great for the beach and as a starting point for enjoying beach and town. Closet and kitchen shelves could use more space for guests.

This is my second time staying at the property, last time was November 2023. It's a great condo with everything you need in a perfect location. My daughter and I enjoyed wonderful beach days and fantastic views from the balcony. The beach chairs and other beach needs were a great perk. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice clean condo in a small building with underground parking. Locating the lockbox with the keys when you first arrive is a bit confusing since street parking is virtually non-existent while you get the keys from a lock box in an alley. Finding the correct alley is also challenging! We ended up in public parking ($20) for a few minutes and walking around till we found the lock box. The unit is a great size for a couple and has the perfect location right between the ocean and Mission Bay. Be aware that it is NOT air conditioned but there are several ceiling and floor fans. All beach stuff is also provided. We would definitely return next time we are in SD.

Second time staying here and couldn’t be happier! The location is incredible, just steps from the beach, and surrounded by great coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Love sitting on the balcony with views all the way from the bay to the ocean. Will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your home!

We love Maui so we appreciated the aloha vibe. The elevator wasn’t working a couple of time but we were young and able enough to manage the stairs :)

The elevator was broken the first two days. Getting both luggage and belongings up three flights of stairs was a challenge. Shower cleanliness was lacking and had the appearance of mold. Even though we knew about unit not having ac the fans just didn’t keep you cool enough. The location is great, can’t beat the 2 minute walk to the beach.

We loved our little condo. It was in a great location, close to the beach and the bay, and there were lots of food options nearby. We also enjoyed the views from the patio. The owners were very responsive and quick to answer all questions. The condo and underground parking felt very safe and secure.

Lovely place on Mission Beach, complete with parking and all the beach day amenities you can think of. Short walk to the small amusement park with plenty of food options nearby. If you're looking for a cozy place to spend time on the beach with your family of explore Mission Beach and the bay, this is the place for you. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I had a wonderful trip. The condo was perfect for us. We loved that we could walk everywhere and felt safe. Mission beach is chill and delightful. We couldn’t have asked for a better 4 days.

Nice place, beautifully decorated and we loved the partial ocean view. However, management waited until two days before our arrival to inform us that the elevator was not working. So, my wife and I, both 73 years old, walked up and down three flights of stairs every time we wanted to go somewhere. Doesn’t the Federal ADA regulations require a working elevator?? I know the elevator had not been working for a while because guests before us left comments about the elevator. We were offered a partial refund but I would rather have known earlier so we could have found other accommodations. We would consider this property again if we could be guaranteed that the elevator would work.

Hale Makai was cozy, clean and friendly. We loved being just a few steps away from the beach. There were lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The upgraded amenities made us feel at home. The owners are very thoughtful and put a lot of love into making their guests feel welcome. We would not hesitate to stay with them again and we would highly recommend the property. It wasn't an issue for us, but our only caution to future guests would be the stairs (the elevator wasn't working).

Our San Diego trip wgas memorable. The location of the condo was perfect for taking walks on the ocean boardwalk, finding great places to eat dinner and getting breakfast and coffee. The accommodations were just as pictured (no surprises). Thank you from Glenwood MN!

Hale Makai was a great home base for our spring break with teens. Awesome location. We went out and played all day and closed out our day with a beautiful sunset on the beach each night.

This was a the perfect location just steps from the beach and close to both Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. The communication was great….always for a response within minutes when I reached out. Place was clean and quiet! I would stay again!!

Hale Makai was the perfect home for our family while visiting San Diego. We love staying on Mission Beach and being able to walk to so much. Hosts were responsive and communicated clearly, making our vacation easy.

This property was perfect for our anniversary get away! It was clean, cute decor, not overly nautical, comfortable bed, full size kitchen, hair dryer provided, beautiful views from balcony for morning coffee and a few steps away from boardwalk and peace of mind with secure parking space inside building. Seriously couldn't have been more perfect. Best of all, owners had great communication and property "rules" where not obnoxious. Highly recommend!

Lovely one bedroom apartment. It was clean and had everything you would need to stay there. We were only steps from the beach and loved the walk everyday. Had a great view of the ocean. With all the terrible parking that goes with the area our spot was wonderful and safe. Would stay here again for sure. Thank you!

The Condo was well maintained and clean on arrival. The unit is a few walking steps from Mission Beach. The unit has everything you need for our stay being coffee pot and eating utensils. It was very easy to communicate with Heather when I was having trouble locking and unlocking the door. It is well located in that most of the places we visited were within 20 minutes driving. Would certainly recommend staying again in the future.

This small condo was perfect for our week in San Diego. Safe area, within walking distance to many fun restaurants, secure parking. The condo had everything we needed (cork screw!) Very enjoyable. We will be back!!

Great, two night stay in this wonderful condo with all needed accomodations. The location is great - we did not use our car during the entire stay and we were so grateful for the secure, off-street parking. The host communicated well with us to ensure we had no problems. We hope to go back some day!

Perfect location for anything you may want to do in San Diego: Day or night time. Opening the patio doors, sitting out on patio for dinner and cocktails while the ocean breeze recharged the soul...Priceless moments!

The condo was perfect for me and my husband - great location and walking distance to lots of restaurants/bars and the boardwalk which was so fun to walk every morning.
It was roomy and had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and we liked having a tv in the family room and bedroom.
We got there after dark had a little trouble finding the keys but that may have just been me.
I highly recommend!

This was the perfect place to stay for a short weekend getaway! Great location only one block from the beach. Surrounded by coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Room and living room are spacious and enough for 3 people. Will plan on staying here again in the future! (Bummed I forgot to sign the guest book!)
