The house was just so cute and we loved the special touches of antiques. The fireplace was stunning. Would loves to use it in the winter. It was so hot though so wish there would have been a pool. We had a blast and can’t wait to go back! Pam made check in a breeze.

We had 6 adults stay pretty comfortably. Our favorite part was the canopy of trees that covered the outdoor seating area! It was quiet and with heat advisories we were completely shaded. The hosts were accommodating and kind! I recommend this venue.

I’m coming at this as objectively as possible because the owners were extremely sweet but we didn’t have the best experience during our weekend getaway. When we arrived to the rental property, there were cars (not from other renters) located through the property and other items scattered throughout their yard. Check in was extremely easy. We went in signed some agreements and got our key. The house was a cute cottage style home that seemed fitting for the Gruene area. We were only about half a mile from all the Gruene shops too. That evening that we checked in, we went into town and grabbed some food before heading back out again. We left one plate in the sink and by the time we came back to the house a few hours later ants were covering the entire plate. The ants pretty much consumed our whole stay after that. The owners had a spray in the house that we used to get rid of them. We washed the plate cleared everything up but then the next morning swarms of ants were making trails from the kitchen window to the trash can. Again we used the spray and cleaned up dozens of ants from the counter top,trash can and floor. We continued this our whole stay. They said they sprayed before and would spray again. They were apologetic. I also knew wifi would be spotty in this area but had trouble with the password being incorrect our entire stay. We finally gave up trying at all. Overall it wasn’t an awful stay, but would have been much more enjoyable and relaxing without the ant problem.

Two couples. Property was nice. Enjoyed our stay. Walked down to the river and went swimming. Gruene was about a 10 minute walk. House was nice. Loved sitting outside around the fire pit. The only surprise for us was the house location. In the picture it looks like the house is on a secluded piece of property however its actually in a area that has several rental houses close by along with the main house where you pick up your key. We were the only ones staying there so it was quiet. No complaints. Gentlemen who stayed in the main house who gave us our key was very sweet and we enjoyed talking to him.

Great location, perfect for a weekend getaway to Gruene! We walked to town for a concert and floated the Guadalupe River. So much fun, highly recommend!

This property is amazing and so quiet! Loved it, minutes away from gruene, the river, schliterbaun, and a gorgeous park. House was so clean and relaxng. The property manager makes sure you feel at home. They are AMAZING! They're deer everywhere! We will be back!!

Property had everything we needed. Patio area was very nice. Lots of towels for 4 people. Good seating in living room. Close to Rockin R tube rental, Gruene and Schlitterbahn. We did it all!

Cozy cabin for the 3 of us. Fridge wine opener and coffee pot was all we needed. Close to the river for rafting and downtown for eating and shopping. And yet we were among the trees out in the country. Easy checkin and host was available for questions.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were great and the house was clean and well kept. The rental house is very close to down town Gruene but is still private and away from the traffic. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic time during the July 4th, 2021 weekend! The location and cabin were perfect for our needs. I highly recommend staying at this location if you want to be close to all of the activities, shopping, and restaurants that the area has to offer. We will stay here again!

We had a great time here! We did some river floating and attended a concert. It was THE PERFECT location for floating the river. Pam was so sweet and made check in/ check out so easy. There are 3 guest houses on the property that are pretty spread out. House was very clean!

We absolutely loved our stay. Pam was an amazing host. She made sure to tell us about places to go and things to see; for us to make the most of our time! The house was spotless and was equipped with everything we needed. The location was amazing too. It was just a few blocks from shops, Gruene Hall and access to the Guadalupe River. We will definitely be renting with Pam & Scott again!

My husband, 12 yo son and I stayed at this cottage for two nights in July 2020. This was during the COVID pandemic and the location helped us fulfill our dream of a getaway with minimal social contact. The property manager provided excellent communication every step of the way. This property is a cute cottage on a lot with other structures but a lot of open space. We saw deer wander through each day and we had a nice seating area outside under the trees. We were walking distance from the river access and a few blocks from town where we picked up food from an amazing restaurant and got ice cream cones at the general store. On the 4th of July we saw fireworks displays from many neighboring houses. What an amazing vacation during the quarantine!

Wonderful little cabin! Perfect for two couples. Pam is super sweet and very accommodating. The heart of Gruene and the river is walking distance. Two other larger cabins on the same property if you are looking to have larger groups stay close.

Perfect location for access to the Guadalupe River. Rockin R is right down the road, along with restaurants and shops. Perfect for groups of up to 6 adults. Great communication with the owners/management. We had a wonderful girls trip! Thanks for having us for the weekend. We will be back!

We were walking distance from the Rockin R rentals, a bit longer walk to Gruene Hall and the restaurants. We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our river weekend! The Mayfield’s are fabulous hosts, taking great care of us from check in to even after the trip when a few of us forgot items in the cabin. The cabin was fully stocked with playing cards, dominos, paper plates, plastic utensils, travel sized hygiene products, etc. We felt so at home!!!

Pam and her husband were ahhhmaaaazing! The house was so quaint and cute and CLEAN! Loved the location so close to Gruene. Very nice patio with lots of trees and deer to feed! Nature at its finest! Will definitely go again!

We brought my 16yo and 2 of his friends for 1 last wknd trip before school started. The property and home was amazingly clean. The boys walked back after their river ride. Property owners were great!

The cottage was perfect for 2 couples. It had everything we needed and was only a few blocks from Gruene and the Guadalupe. Pam's communication and assistance was great! We will be coming back here again.
