We were unable to access the location after arriving with 2 teens who were on spring break ! I’m still waiting for my FULL refund to know if I will receive it in total. What I don’t understand is I had several emails stating that my booking was confirmed and itinerary sent to me before arriving. I thought I was good to go for the 4 nights of spring break /and then last minute had to tell the teen girls so sorry this is not gonna happen. Also after looking around property I could not see any hot tub that was listed . It looked to me that they were not ready to open this house for the season. It is across the street from the lake/not on the lake like in the photo’s . This was very unfortunate but a blessing at the same time . Not worth the money for a 4 night stay in this area . I will admit my assuming that the property was secure after the first installment was my fault and assuming that the property was secured with the confirmation that I did receive and not reaching out to the host the day of or the day before. The house was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. We were able to locate it quickly and it was a short distance to Baroda/St. Joseph wineries. The house was very clean, dishes provided, fire wood, and ample room for 6 adults. We will be back.

We decided on VRBO because of other visits it was easier. But this stay we got a lashing via text about what not to do before we even got there. The sulphur smell was overwhelming. There were notes everywhere. Just didn't feel comfortable. Plus we had to pay for three nights whether we were there or not. No lake view because of brush.

This property was conveniently located across the street from a nice beach that we enjoyed almost every day. It is close to Coloma which offered a nice movie theater and a nice restaurant. It is also close to wineries and breweries in the area. It was perfect for our stay with our Son and his family.

This is an old and foul smelling house. The sulfur and mold could only be rivaled by the bad and cheap remodeling. We booked 3 night and stayed 2 concerned about my kids health. Hindsight 20/20, i should have noticed the little signs with the reviews… The living room being split in 2 rooms, 1 smaller room inside of a bigger one and no access to the front porch. You cannot watch the tv as a group, as it is too far and not enough space. If you have breathing or sensitivities/allergies this is not for you. Do yourself a favor and book a hotel. It is cheaper and cleaner.

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your establishment. The owner was friendly, easily accessible and accommodating. They even provided games for us to play should the weather not cooperate for outside and/or beach time. The only thing I could really critique would be the property listing itself, which indicates there is a loft area. In all reality, the "loft area" is actually a small closet at the top of the stairs with no windows and a single mattress on the floor. This wasn't a problem for our group, as there were enough actual beds/bedrooms to accommodate our party, but I could see how this could possibly be a problem for future guests. Other than that, the place was as advertised, clean, and fun to stay in.

We really enjoyed staying at this property and being able to walk across the street to the beach! This house is very clean and comfortable and perfect for a family with kids…ours enjoyed the DVD player in the bedroom. The whirlpool tub, water cooler, beach chairs, towels and toys were nice extras. Kitchen is well stocked. The owner is prompt in responding to messages and was very accommodating when we had to make a change to our reservation. A great place to stay!

Pros: super clean property, stocked with all kitchen needs, room air conditioners, fans in every area, towels and bed sheets aplenty. Fire pit and gas grill for use of customers, great location across from public Lake Michigan beach, plenty of parking. Cons: property on a noisy road ( air conditioners covered the sound), furniture in living room area and washer/dryer were a bit past their prime, water smelled strongly of sulphur and filtered water dispenser for drinking ran out the second day (bottled water strongly encouraged for future guests). Be careful of uneven concrete in walkway by entrance door. All in all a clean but bit worn property.

Stay was nice.

The rental property was very quaint, spacious inside/outside, and was near all locations our family explored while in Michigan. The property owner is very responsive, helpful and super enjoyable to work with! The only hiccup which I know the owner has noted they worked on and wish we would have known in advance is the sewer (egg) smell from the water running. This never went away no matter where the water was running - kitchen sink, bathroom sink/shower, dishwasher and wash machine.

We had the luxury of being able to stay at this house for 3 days and each day was amazing. With a quick walk across the street is a beach, board games for the late nights, and a kitchen fully loaded with almost everything you need for cooking. Highly recommend to anyone because of the location and price.

We rented this for our daughter’s birthday celebration and we had a great time! Great host!

This property was perfect for our annual girls' trip. All the bedrooms are upstairs and comfortably fit the six of us. There was plenty of comfortable seating for all of us inside and outside. The property sits back from a highway which can get a little busy, but eventually gets quieter as the night goes on. The kitchen was adequately stocked including some basic condiments which is always appreciated. Some folks in our group are not familiar with well water and had some smell sensitivity, but the property has a water cooler for drinking and cooking. If your group drinks a lot of water, you probably want to bring extra bottled water. We loved walking across the highway to get easy access to a clean, beautiful beach. Communication with the host was easy and we appreciated her flexibility with check in and check out.

Property was an older house with great character. Neighborhood was quiet. It was just what we needed for a weekend with our family and had many items so we didn't need to overpack. We mentioned several times how we wanted to come back with more family and friends. Would stay again.

We had a great time staying here. It was perfect for our family to relax in during a busy wedding weekend!

The location was perfect across from the water (beach not as busy as those in surrounding area); however need to be able to walk up and down about 100 steps to get there. And although advertised for sleeping 9 people, only 2 bedrooms with bigger beds and 1 room with 3 full size (2 were bunks), and then another random full on the floor in a nook in the hallway. Also - water smelled AWFUL! Not the property owner's fault, but had to go out and buy all drinking water and we all had to plug our noses when taking showers. Otherwise, very nice home with many things provided (including DVDs, games, floats and condiments in the fridge!)

We stayed here for my sister's bachelorette weekend and it was wonderful! The owner is FANTSTIC to work with, and the property and location were great for a weekend at the beach and the local winery tour. Highly recommend!

This is a very comfortable house, perfect for 3 adult couples. The 2 full bathrooms are updated. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals. The AC works great; it also serves to obscure the street noise from M63. We enjoyed both the outside deck and the screened-in porch. You do need to cross the highway to get to the beach, but the beach is very nice and is swimmable.

We were in town for my nieces wedding and had a great time here. The location was perfect right across from park and beach and a short distance to the wedding ceremony. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of room for 8-10 people. If we are back to this part of Michigan again I will definitely check on the availability of this home.

Great access to the beach with the park right across the main road from it. Was only about 15 minutes to get to both South Haven and St. Joseph. Had a great amount of space on the first level for us to hang out together. Beds were comfortable and clean. Nice porch to sit out on in the evenings. Overall nice property. Only have 3 issues to bring up. 1. It wasn’t really clear was none of the bedrooms were on the 1st floor for my 74 year old mother who uses a cane and the steps have a strange turn as you go up them. The layout of the property would be helpful to know for future elderly renters. 2. The water smelled like rotten eggs any time we turned it on, especially when taking a hot shower. Not sure if it’s well water or what. 3. Lastly, we left some food on the counter top and we’re assuming it was a mouse that nibbled at some of the food and left some droppings in the container the food was in. May want to set some traps out. Thanks for the time and the great communication with us during the checkin and checkout processes especially.

The house was perfect for six adults and two children, the beach was wonderful. We tried Oval beach in Saugatuck one day, but everyone preferred 'our' beach! Really appreciated the filtered water system too.

Perfect location between St. Joe’s and South Haven! Very comfortable beds and home away from home! Loved that there’s a beach right across the street! We also really enjoyed the screened-in porch and outside deck area! We will be back!

My family and our friends enjoyed our short trip to Lake Michigan. We really enjoyed that we were just a short walk from the beach. I like that I had access to the homeowner's cellphone, and I was able to text her with questions during our stay. The house smelled clean upon arrival. It was a welcoming scent. I am not a review giver, but I do use other reviews to make decisions. We would stay here again, and I recommend this house to anyone who is looking for somewhere close to the beach without being in a town.

Good location, old house, so not as clean and crisp as one might expect

We had a wonderful trip. My girls (5 and 6) enjoyed the bunk beds and the hideout room (as they liked to call it). The screened in porch was lovely in the morning and evenings. The beds were super comfy. My daughter enjoyed all the “soft blankets” in the beds. The walk to the beach was very easy…literally right across the street. Even though it was a public beach, it felt like a private beach. It was lovely are hardly ever really crowded.

This welcoming house was very clean and inviting. Our host was always helpful. Location had a beach access right across the street.

Great place for 2 families to enjoy Lake Michigan. Beach access right across the street (pretty steep stairs, definitely not ADA, but easy to navigate even with kids and gear in tow). Close to a lot of great beaches. Good yard and deck for chill time, plenty of kitchen and sleeping spaces.

Nice House

This house is cute and clean and pretty easy to get to. It’s not on the water like I thought but it’s right across the street and down a million steps. But you can hear the waves from the front porch so that was cool. The house itself was very clean and very detailed. The kitchen has just about everything you need. You have to bring your own toilet paper I didn’t know that until I got there but it wasn’t a big deal because there is a dollar general right down the street. The beds were super comfy and clean. The owner was very responsive and helpful to any questions I had. We had a wonderful time and I definitely recommend this house.

Dianna was so helpful and great with communication. The check in process was easy, and there were Plenty of linens for all 7 of us. It is an older house, but charming and clean. We really enjoyed the fire pit and being so close to the lake. There are many wineries nearby. Definitely recommend!
