Our first year at Sweet Sara's was in 2004 and we've been coming back ever since (except for the Covid era). This is our sacred space for so many family memories. Kids that were in diapers the first year are now married or graduated from college, etc. Katie was a wonderful, accommodating host for our group. She was communicative and the process was simple enough. The house has always been lovely. The beaches have returned (after a few years with high water). Maple Ave was a familiar, shady, daily walk to the bluff. Just a great time, and bittersweet as we contemplate the future of our gatherings as dynamics change... Thank you so much, Katie!

Three families came together to spend a long weekend at this home. We had 7 adults and 5 children and it worked perfectly for us. The bedroom setup allows parents to have their kids in the next room over. Those rooms are a little small but worked fine as we spent most of our time in the spacious living and kitchen area, as well as, the patio and the beach. The stairs down to the beach added some effort but we found it doable as we would set up for the day and go to and from the beach as needed. It was great having the beach to ourselves - we played beach baseball and didn't have to worry about anyone besides the occasional passerby. We took one trip in to South Haven for half a day. It was about a 20 minute drive. The rest of our time was spent at the house. We had a great stay!

We had a wedding in the area and booked this home for our group of 9 for the weekend. We liked the beach access and quiet country feel. The house was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the coffee station!

The house was even better than the photos - clean - inviting - great location - would highly recommend

We love visiting SW Michigan and keep trying different spots to suit our 4 households family. The yard, the beach access, proximity to favorite haunts in St. Joe and the property itself won us over! Large dining area- outside dining, bedrooms for children inside the bedrooms for parents- second floor laundry. Highly recommended! Did I mention easy parking for all our cars?

The property is great! Nice outdoor area and secluded from neighbors. Just a few minutes from Lake Michigan!!

We loved the house and amenities! It's even more spacious and comfortable than expected from the photo's. The location is great and we were able to do activities right at "home" or via short trips ever day. Very nice!

We had a great stay here! The house was perfect for our family. It was very easy to get to and not far from towns and interstate access for easy traveling. We had a couple young kids with us and it was perfect for them too. I think the ONLY thing that could have been described better would be the stairs to the private beach. For a family that was a lot more than we anticipated getting up and down. We did it and still had a blast! The private beach was beautiful! But the stairs will wear you out. The host was amazing and so easy to communicate with as well! I was very impressed overall. Highly recommend!

Perfect house for our family during our son’s wedding weekend! Loved everything about it especially the outdoor living spaces and proximity to Lake Michigan! The hydrangeas surrounding the back patio were the talk of the weekend! Would love to stay here again!

The home had everything we could hope for our family (8 adults & 4 children) plus renting the Coach House (which was beautiful) gave us plenty of room. We had a wonderful trip!

Perfect size for our family. Mornings spent at the public beach, evenings at the private beach( sunsets). Probably the best stocked VRBO I’ve used.

katie did a great job with communicating everything with my group. check in was a breeze and the property itself was great. very close to a private beach but also had a very large yard for games/hanging if you just wanted to hang around. throughout the weekend my friends and i kept saying that we can’t wait to return next year!

What can I say, that hasn’t already been said. This place is outstanding. My supper club and I had a wonderful experience here. We came for a weekend and to check out the winery trail. This home has it all. I asked all 8 ladies what they loved most about this home, here it goes. 1) The ceiling fans in each room are wonderful! 2) Beds are so comfortable, it was easy to fall asleep! 3) the outdoor furniture was very welcoming and accommodated every person. 4) outdoor gas fireplace was wonderful and welcoming. 5) Gas grill was great. The gas was connected to the gas line on the house so we didn’t have to be concerned that we had gas or that it would run out on us! *grill is BRAND NEW!! 6) The house was extremely clean! 7) there are a lot of magazines and comfortable couches. It’s so welcoming and easy to sit down play board games or read a book. 8) we walked down nightly to check out the sunset on the beach! Beautiful, quiet and peaceful beach. 9) the wrap around porch was perfect for our morning coffee talks. 10) plenty of spices, zip lock bags, laundry soap and cleaning supplies. We like going home with clean laundry and needed baggies for our leftover dinners, It was so great! The wineries are 20 minutes from the house, St Joe 10 minutes. Everything was in close proximity. We will be back! We had an outstanding time at your home. Thank you for having us into your home!

This house was gorgeous! The pictures don’t do it justice. Check in and check out was easy - Highly recommend staying here.

We had a great time hanging out at the house, sitting around the fire pit telling stories and sharing memories. It was great that all 5 of us had our own room and the kitchen, dining, and living rooms were all comfortable and spacious. The only disappointment, and it was minor, was the beach access was not as accommodating as we hoped. We did walk to the bluff on the first day and decided the stairs were too much for dad. We want to the park on Saturday, but that beach access wasn’t the greatest with limited space and more of a hike than we imagined. Overall, we had a great time. Thanks

My husband stated he would like to live in this house, lol...because of the spacious main floor master suite, open concept kitchen and living area, fire place, patio... This was a great base for our son's wedding in Benton Harbor. The house was nicely decorated and had movies/music/games/puzzles/books to enjoy. We loved relaxing on the sectional on the patio on a beautiful fall day. Highly recommend!

beautiful home and property. location was great and near the private beach. the only criticism is there needs to be another full bathroom upstairs- it was a bit inconvenient dow one couple to have to sleep upstairs and come all the way downstairs for the bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay! It’s a spacious home which was great for our group. We loved the front porch and backyard fire pit.
