Location was great. The staff were amazing super friendly and always helpful.

The shower pipes were clogged, mosquitoes were everywhere with no mosquito net so I was bitten the whole time I was there during the evening in the room. Probably would recommend house keeping close the doors when cleaning rooms.

Novotel Bali Benoa is a gem of a hotel! All staff were super friendly and hospitable. :-) We celebrated our daughter's birthday there, and she loved having cake for breakfast! Lots of activities in and around the hotel too, including SUP and kayaking, kids' club, gelato stand, 3 pools to choose from, themed dinners and entertainment, etc.

We loved our studio by the beach, the view was amazing.

It was a little dark inside as far as the lighting, but we understand that's a Bali standard.

Staff are very friendly. the room and the complex were extremely clean. Location is on the beach.

The original booking was for a room with a pool access. Usually this means that from the room one can enter the pool, in this instance this was not the case. All rooms have access to the pool. So I believe that this should be changed as it is false advertising and we have spoken to management regarding the matter. We upgraded at a cost, to the beach cabana. The upgrade certainly made the stay more enjoyable.

Depending on the chefs at the restaurant you could get good food. It was a toss up, though, so sometimes the food was mediocre at best. The pools were nice. At breakfast they would have live music playing, a nice touch.

The front desk charged me twice for the breakfast, which was over $250 USD each charge. I paid for 2 people but my husband ended up not making it to the hotel. I requested a refund for the 2nd person breakfast and was told it was too late. The times I went to breakfast we would get asked repeatedly what room we were in (a friend and I were both waiting for our spouses) and they would write it on their hands. When I checked out they showed me receipts for breakfast for 2 people even though I told them both my room number and my friends room number AND I paid for 2 peoples breakfasts AT CHECK IN. The rooms constantly have mosquitos in them. The room door has a decent gap underneath where bugs can get in. The first room I was in the toilet reeked of urine (a contractor friend said it smelled like the pee trap was broken) and the safety box did not work. My friends room the eye glass piece in the door was completely knocked out of his door, leaving a huge hole for mosquitos to fly in from. His porch door would not close unless it was bolted shut. The beds are pretty hard so if that is not what you like I would try somewhere else. If I were to go back to Bali I would never go back to this hotel.

Amazing stay with children. Helpful, friendly hotel staff. There are all conditions for the whole vacation to be inside the hotel. Old five-star hotel, but very beautiful with Balinese design

The room and the promise that the hotel made that they will provide a birthday surprise and finally they ended up with nothing only they respond to our queries in positive manner in booking website

I thought the hotel facilities and location were really beautiful, way better than what we were expecting based on some previous reviews. The pools were both great and breakfast was fantastic, overall the hotel surpassed our expectations.

I felt the food on the lunch menu could have been to a higher standard based on the overall quality of the hotel.

The location is convenient and walkable to many other restaurants nearby. The breakfast served at the hotel's Uluwatu restaurant is delicious and the ocean view is amazing. The private beach is great. The hotel staff is very friendly and we had great time in Bali.

We liked the friendly staff, and the renovations of the communal areas were on point. Additionally, the service for food and drinks was good and always arrived very quickly.

We had a standard family room and it smelt musky when we arrived. On first inspection the room look clean and there was no mould in the bathroom. However, the wall in the kids' room, the wall with the TV had a lot of moisture damage and I guess that was where the smell came from. Additionally, the mattresses in the room were extremely old and you could hear individual springs pop and twang as you moved. They had put a mattress topper to prevent you from feeling it. There was a good selection for breakfast, but all the warm items were cold, and the bacon felt like cardboard. We tried going in at different times each day, because we thought it might be a timing thing, but it was the same. However, the omelettes were very good!!!

Breakfast looked like a feast but was tasteles, cheap and poor quality food. The emphasis was on eggs, undressed salads do no appeal and it looked like a grocery store more than restaurant. The clients greedy behaviour was shocking. They should have had staff supervising

The hotel wasn’t clean. The beautiful lobby woodwork was dusty. The ensuite bathroom was frankly dirty and on arrival I had to call for some kind of dark liquid spill to be removed from the uncleaned mirrors. The tile seal in the toilet was grubby and needed scrubbing. The room was generally only superficially clean. The area outside the room, poolside needed cleaning with a pressure washer on the walls and the roof glazing was dirty. Staff cleaned with a leaf blower and foul smelling pool cleaner while customers were using the area. The wait staff for room service was extremely slow and sloppy. The chips were poor quality, overcooked frozen potatoes, served cheaply with cheap ketchup and Mayo, not fresh lemon. The minced beef tortilla contained only white gloop and cabbage. Disgusting The front of house staff are untrained. A porter allowed me to carry my suitcase from The car park up the steps and didn’t offer to help. I am 75 and would have appreciated his help but he seemed not to know he should. The reception staff were officious and there for themselves, but the customer. Their attitude is condescending and unhelpful. Their credit card machine didn’t work (though the one in the machine worked fine ) yet they felt it ok to tell us our card was blocked and cause us to feel embarrassment. The card was not blocked and their machine seemed to work later in our stay but we were paying by cash until then. I suggest you send in secret shoppers to review the hotel.

Check-in was tedious very late at night. Should have let us just go to our rooms and sort it out the next day.

I liked the location of the beach cabana. Breakfast had alot of options, not sure if trays were out there to hold your plates and glasses to your table would be handy. Saves us walking back and forth to our tables, without the risk of it being cleared as a solo traveler. The view of the sunrise and moon light was amazing, also hearing the live music from my room was a lovely ambience to the view. Overall, a lovely stay in Benoa.

The beach cabana sliding doors can be abit difficult to open and close. I did not use the bath in the cabana due to the amount of sandflies outside, A bug zapper would be handy out there, otherwise I would've been bitten quite alot to try have a bath outdoors. The sangria cocktail recipe could use more work, I found the fruit pieces abit too much.

Many closed/deserted restaurants and resorts in the area.

Great location, good water sports activities. Beautiful property , the view is unbeatable. The rooms are amazing . Food is great too .

Reception is always full and unorganised. For such a big hotel only 1 person is doing check ins and people always waiting , no tie ups for day trips for guests . No service of hotel taxi was a drawback.
